Description of Work: The estimate and installation went perfectly. Everyone was on time, answered all questions and gave advice and were really professional. The reason for the lower parks for price and responsiveness is that there was a huge error in billing. Despite the fact that I gave them an actual check for $234, they electronically deducted that amount from my bank four times! While they acknowledged their error, it was not easy to get them to correct the error in a timely fashion. I was connected to various people who sent me from person to person until finally was connected to a billing manager. Because this was hundreds of dollars in error, I felt they should fix it immediately and electronically (being they erroneeously electronically deducted it, they could add it back the same way). Instead I had to wait over two weeks for a check by snailmail. I did get reimbursed finally but it put a cloud on an otherewise flawless service.

Description of Work: Its what they didn't do. In July we went overseas and called ADT to tell them not to call us if there were an alarm issue but rather call the person who was watching the house. We gave ADT his name, phone number and email., emphasizing NOT to call us because of the time difference. They assured me they would follow my instructions. They failed miserably. They called me in the middle of the night, my phone was off so they sent the police to my house (no problem). I called them the next day, talked to a supervisor and told her NOT to call me and don't send the police because there seemed to be a faulty sensor. Two nights later, same thing, cops again, no problem. Cost me $100 in false police calls. I dropped this service like a bad habit.

Description of Work: Installation personnel repeatedly misrepresented installation of replacement system (earlier one had died), again and again denying ability to provide coverage of individual windows and doors, as was in effect in earlier installation. It required repeated visits, pressing management to make good what had earlier been in effect. They eventually left, with no individual coverage on second floor, refusing to do more without substantial payment, refusing to take further phone calls

I HAVE FOUND ADD TO BE VERY GOOD. THEY ARE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL. THEY HAVE LEFT MY HOME VERY NEAT WHEN THEY ARE DONE. THEY ALSO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT I HAVE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THIS WAS A VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. THE TWO WORKMEN WORKED FOR HOURS AND THEN TOLD ME THERE WAS DAMAGE THAT I DOUBT WAS PRESENT. THEY WERE UNABLE TO SUGGEST WHAT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THE DAMAGE. I THINK THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO SO THEY GAVE UP AND TOLD ME TO BUY MORE PRODUCT.
Description of Work: MY SECURITY SYSTEM WASN'T WORKING CORRECTLY - THE ALARM WAS GOING OFF CONTINUOUSLY. THE WORKMEN CAME TWICE AND WERE NEVER ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THAT SOME WIRES WERE DAMAGED IN PLACES THEY COULDN'T GET TO. THEY DID NOTHING BESIDES RECOMMENDING THAT I GET WIRELESS INSTALLED FOR ANOTHER $310.

ADT WOULD CALL AND THE POLICE MIGHT EVEN SHOW UP. THE MONITORING ITSELF ALWAYS WORKS AND IT IS EASY TO SET THE ALARM, BUT TO CHANGE OPTIONS OF THE SYSTEM A CONSULTATION OF THE MANUAL IS REQUIRED. COMPATIBLE WITH PETS TOO, THE MOTION DETECTORS ARE JUST SET ABOVE A CERTAIN HEIGHT.
Description of Work: $40 A MONTH FOR RESIDENTIAL SECURITY SERVICES THAT INCLUDE MOTION DETECTORS ON ONE FLOOR, SENSORS ON WINDOWS AND DOORS ON TWO FLOORS AND FIRE AND SMOKE ALARM SENSORS ON TWO FLOORS. SYSTEM ALSO COMES WITH A WALL KEYPAD TO SET THE ALARM AND A PORTABLE KEYPAD WHERE YOU CAN SET THE ALARM FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE HOUSE, WHETHER IT BE THE BASEMENT OR THE BEDROOM.
