He was right on time and here about 2 hours. Very professional and flexible. There was absolutely no cleaner residue smell (which I loved.) The carpets were almost dry when he finished and the carpet pile was pulled up and fluffy like it was when it was new. I would absolutely use him again!

The installers were prompt and were very careful with furniture moving. The whole job, from carpet removal to carpet installation, was handled professionally and with great care. The furniture was carefully moved before and after completion of the job. The carpet cleaning was done the next day. This work was also thorough and well done.

Perfect. The sales rep was prompt, the delivery and installation were on-time and well-done and the follow-up shampooing worked like clockwork. All in all an excellent experience at a great price.

Our basement wall had been leaking water and our carpet and carpet pad had soaked up a lot of it. After getting a drain system installed, it was time to deal with the carpet. Lou from A+ came and looked at our carpet, and told us that we could either have it restretched or replaced. We decided to have the carpet replaced. Lou was extremely responsive throughout the process of ordering the carpet, and went the extra mile to track down something specific that we wanted. The installers came and were prompt and efficient, and did a good job. We are very happy with the result.

Lou Valentine came to our house, measured, mapped out our order. Since our basement hall curves around, he mapped out how to order the carpeting and install it with the least amount of waste. Lou made carpet recommendations based on our use, needs and decor. Lou was easy to work with, thorough, and flexible enough to meet with us in the evenings. The day before installation, we discovered a carpentry problem with our stairs. A-Plus recommended a carpenter they have worked with who came over the next day and was able to repair the stairs the following week. The team that installed the main carpeting was very professional and polite and cleaned up after their work. The crew that came out the next week to carpet the stairs was rushed and made some noticeable errors (trimming, sag). I told Lou and asked if he wanted to come out to see. He said he didn't need to see. They would send someone out to fix it the next day. The owner, Eric, called that evening to follow-up and make sure we were happy and offer us a free cleaning for the inconvenience. They were very focused on saving us money and making sure we were happy. Wonderful experience. Great Customer Service! So refreshing to see this dedication to the customer!

A Plus was great from the estimate through the completion. Because I work in D.C. and couldn't be at the house, which is a second residence, during the week, A plus agreed to perform the work on three consecutive Saturdays. The quality of the work was outstanding and the house, which was a gut job and complete renovation, looks great! I would recommend A Plus and I certainly intend to use the company for future projects.

They put in a wooden floor and took out the carpeting. The thing that was important was that I was going away and they were going to be in the house because it was kind of a messy job. They gave me names of people who had used them and who had gone away - I called and got very good references on them. I went away on vacation, and they did a nice job. I came home and the floors were all done. They hadn?t quite put all the furniture back the right way. I called them, and they came back and moved the things that were needed to be moved. I was very satisfied with them. I have a feeling that I could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else but I liked the fact that I could trust them in my house on their own; that was worth something to me. In fact, my daughter is getting her floors done and I have recommended them to her. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

These guys were great. Within days of my initial phone call, the contact person (I can't recall his name offhand) came all the way to my house in Baltimore with samples and then quoted the job. I told him I was concerned about sound baffling (I live directly below the apartment) and we agreed upon a high density underpad in addition to a mid-range neutral carpet. The job was completed within a week and the place looks wonderful. Highest marks all around!

Everything went very well. They did a great job restreching the livingroom carpet and then steam cleaning the whole house.

They cam promptly a couple of days after I called them. They finished all of the work in about a hour. They did quite a decent job on some carpeting that has seen more use than it probably should have. They did the work at a very reasonable price. They accepted my Angie's List coupon, which I appreciated.

The job went very smoothly. Lou (salesman) was very great to deal with. The actual workers did a very nice job. They told me that the sanding would be dustless and I was somewhat apprehensive in believing this. I had previously had hardwood floors refinished in a different home and I knew what a dusty mess it could be. To my surprise they were true to their word. There was actually next to no dust. The workers were professional and highly skilled. My floors look fantastic. They completed the job in a timely manner.

Nick spent considerable time with me both in the shop and at home helping me to pick the right type of carpet and the best color. He was very helpful and patient during my decision-making. On the day of installation the installers were friendly and professional and took great care to install the carpet around our newly painted walls and trim. They did a wonderful job.

On Monday, guys came out to install tack strips but they didn?t completely install them and they didn?t tell the crew who was performing the actual carpet install the very next day that they didn?t completely install the tack strips. So, when the crew arrived on Tuesday morning, they couldn?t get right to work. Some of the guys went to Home Depot to get tack strips and then they went to work. Both crews on both days were very respectful and nice. By early afternoon (2- or 3-ish) on Tuesday, the carpet was fully installed. It looks very nice. I contacted two companies (A Plus and one other) because I was pressed for time to have carpet installed in the basement ? following mold remediation and build-back work. Both companies provided me with high estimates ($1399 from A Plus and $2100 from the other company). The A Plus representative indicated if I found a cheaper price (in writing) then he?d contact his owner and see what he could do. Getting another company to low ball themselves in writing is very tough to do. However, the other company finally came down on their price (a rep called back a couple days after the initial site visit) and offered me a price of $1298. Unfortunately, at this time I had already had the work done by A Plus (and the difference was only $100.00? but still). I believe in my heart that both companies could have installed the carpet in my basement for less than $1k. That?s the only reason I didn?t give them an A. Their estimates are very vague: no indication of cost per sq ft, no total sq ft provided for what they?re charging you for, and no breakdown of additional costs (e.g., labor, materials, padding, etc.) so I have no idea how A Plus came up with the price of $1399? and that is a bit unsettling.

We moved in a year ago to perfectly clean "cream" carpets. It only took 1 year of my family living in this house to completely wreck them! (two young kids and cat didn't help!). Anyhow, I called an appointment was set up and a price given. Overall, great experience most of all Neil (I hope I got that right not too good with names) who arrived on the day was fantastic. Reassured me that he would treat the spot marks and there were many! There was some malfunction with his vehicle that hooks up to the carpet cleaner and this added to his work but he didn't complain just left my carpets cleaner than I could have hopped! Definitely will use this company again.

We had water damage in our basement and the old carpet needed to come out and the basement restored. A-Plus Carpenting was able to work with us through the whole process. Someone came out immediately to our home and took the measurements and showed us a variety of great carpets that was in line with our budget. Within one week the old carpet was taken out. We needed it taken care of immediately because mold was spreading from the old wet carpet. They bent over backwards to work with us and get the job done. After we completed the restoration they installed the new carpet quickly and professionally. This was the first time I used A-Plus Carpeting and they exceeded my expectations. I will never use anyone else but A-Plus Carpeting for all my carpeting and flooring needs.

Lou came out to do the estimate and was very friendly and down to earth. We had other estimates where it was a high-pressure salesman, but Lou was not that way. We told him we were preparing to move and needed to replace the carpet with something mid-grade - not too cheap but not too expensive. He recommended a standard carpet they keep in stock for apartments. He did the measurements and encouraged us to shop around and give him a call if we were interested - no pressure to buy that day. The next day, they faxed us a quote that included a discount and a free clamshell clamp (we wanted to replace the divider between the carpet and linoleum in the kitchen) because we were Angie's List members. On the day of the install, two employees came on time and performed the work within about 4 hours. They were courteous and professional. One thing I was pleased about was that the baseboards were in perfect shape when they were done (not so in our past experiences with other companies). They forgot to leave us scrap carpet, so we called the next day and someone dropped off a huge roll of scrap. We were extremely pleased about the quality of the carpet and padding for the price. We plan on using A+ Carpet again in the future.

Eric, the owner, came to my home to measure and help me select the product. A-Plus delivered the wood a week in advance to acclimate to the conditions in my home. The two installers, Marcus and Wesley, were on time, very professional, neat, courteous, and careful moving my furniture. Sandra, in the office, was very proficient and responsive. The installation is perfect. I am delighted!

I had interviewed four carpet companies and A Plus was the best and also had the best ratings on Angie?s List. They were very accommodating and the price was marvelous.

They were quick and efficient. They moved all the furniture, and once the work was done, they put them all back in place. My overall experience with them was good.

Spectacular! The in-home service and flexibility of Lou Valentine was absolutely outstanding. After removing carpet, crews noted many staples used by prior carpet installation had significantly damaged flooring underneath. Rather than complete the job as-is, Lou contacted me and spent his own late-night hours going through my options at my convenience. I was/am greatly appreciative for knowing all the options and getting a chance to review the best way forward. I could not be more happy with the installation team and with the finished product. The work was completed in a very timely fashion and for a fair price.
