A Plus Carpet & Flooring

A saleswoman for A Plus came to my home for an estimate and quoted me a price. I let her know that the estimate was about $150 higher than phone estimates I received. The saleswoman told me to rely on the Angie's List reviews and that to do the job right, it would take more time than I thought. Based largely on these reviews, I arranged an appointment with them for the repair. Two repairmen arrived on time for the repair. They were in my home for no more than 1 hour. In that time, they repaired all of the bunched carpet and moved the furniture back to where it belonged. They also borrowed my vacuum to clean up behind them. They worked hard, were very professional and appeared to do a good job. The repairmen did not ask me to pay on the spot. Several days later, the saleswoman called me to say that they should have done so. She advised that she would be sending an invoice. I told her that I believed that she overestimated the job because the work only took 1 hour. She replied that she had not overestimated and would be sending the invoice. After receiving the invoice, I sent full payment along with a typed letter expressing my concern over paying $550 for labor that was completed by two men in 1 hour. I believe that this price was exceptionally high considering that the business is located less than 5 miles from my home and no materials were required. A Plus cashed my check, but did not respond to my letter.

Excellent, repairman was prompt courteous and clean.

Overall interaction with company was excellent; they were responsive and gave what turned out to be an accurate estimate of the cost of the work. Special kudos to Tim Gill, the represenative who performed the actual work. He was courteous, professional, informative and friendly. I have since recommended A Plus to many friends, specifically mentioning Tim Gill, and at least five of them have already used the service. All were very pleased. I have added A Plus Carpet to my list of A+ service providers.

When called within a day or two someone came out to the house to do an estimate at the scheduled time.? Shawn was very pleasant and helpful.? The estimate was reasonable.? Later that day he called back to schedule an appointment a couple of days later.? The workers came as scheduled and it took a little over an hour for the work.? The carpet was straightened but they did leave some extraneous threads that we had to trim.? The carpet may have been able to even be pulled a bit tighter, but all in all they did a good job.

The project went great and was made so much easier on us by APlus Carpet. Even though they used a dustless system there is still quite a bit of clean up that needs to be done afterwards.

The service was very fast. I had anticipated four hours but it was done in two and a half. Maybe that was because I did my best to move everything out of the way except the really large items (bed, dresser, sofa). When I got the estimate and he described the re-stretching technique, I was a little worried about cutting the carpet but decided that it if needed to be done, so be it. However, the guys who actually did the re-stretch seemed very experienced and specifically avoided cutting because it would last longer without it and the carpet had enough give without it. Yay! Very happy with the restretching work. I wish the cleaner would have been a little less speedy and a little more thorough. He cleaned edges that were dusty so when it was done, there was wet dust, not attractive After it dried, it vacuumed up no problem. There were a couple of spots that he had trouble with, but extra solvent helped there after I asked him to try something besides just the steam. In general, I was hoping that cleaning would magically make my four-year-old carpet look new again. No such luck. It looks better, don't get me wrong, but not stupendous-amazing-hallelujah better.

Worker arrived on time and was professional, easy to talk with. Very good job overall of cleaning. Excellent value for price; I got price estimates from four service providers who are top-rated on Angie's List. I had hoped to receive discount given that house was almost entirely vacant and no furniture moving required (some other providers do offer this, this provider did not), but this provider's total price was still better than others. I would have preferred to see a little more time and attention given to some spots and soiled areas; for this reason, I rated quality as 'B'. But overall, quality was very good.

I first met with a representative in the showroom.? A week later, a team came out to my condo to measure, show samples, and write up a quote.? The team didn't have one of the carpets I was interested in, so a salesman dropped it off later that evening for me to examine at my leisure.? I called the next day with my order.? On installation day, everything went smoothly.? Communication was very good throughout the process and the work is flawless.? I am very happy with my carpets.

I would highly recommend A+ floors. And will be using them to refinish the rest of my hardwood floors in the future.

Vinny came to our house with some carpet samples and to measure the area.? He went over the prices for the different kinds.? Later that day he emailed us a written estimate for two different samples we had selected.? We had furniture being delivered so the carpeting needed to be done by a certain date.? We selected a date and the carpet was installed with no delay.? Looks and feels great!

Technician, Andrew arrived on time and was both pleasant and professional. I will request him in the future, My carpet is 15 years old with minimal wear and looks just great. I will recommend A Plus to everyone I know!!! I will call A Plus for my next cleaning.

The entire experience went smoothly. All workmen were polite and skilled and cleaned up after themselves. They did all work on a tight deadline which had to be squeezed between house painting and installation of stair lifts prior to my wife's upcoming surgery. One minor detraction was that one of the workers wore heavy rubber shoes which on two separate occasions marred the newly painted garage floor. I did not call this to the company's attention because it is a simple matter for me to apply some additional paint to the areas which needed touch up and which couldn't be cleaned with soap and water. The overall experience was excellent.

The representative was very professional and I was very pleased with how the carpet looked afterwards. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others. Their prices are very competitive also.

They did a great job. I can’t say that I disliked any part of it; there were no problems. There was no drama, they had good communication, and everything was the way it should be done.

I received quote the same day I called and was able to schedule the service for the same week. On the scheduled day, they called me early in the morning to let me know that there would be a 2 hour delay from the originally scheduled time, and offered to reschedule if that was inconvenient for me. When the serviceman arrived he was professional and courteous. The cleaning job was excellent. Our stairs were very dirty form recent remodeling, and I was very impressed with the final result.

Excellent job cleaning carpets. We have light beige carpets and there was some serious discoloration. They did a great job getting almost all of it out. They also we prompt and scheduled service last minute within a couple days to accomodate us for a graduation party. We will definitely use them again!

First worker arrived at arounf 7:30 am. He said that he co-worker would arrive shortly thereafter; and that we was a helper from another crew. As it turned out, the first worker was by himself until approximately noon, and he tore up the old carpet by himself. Second worker came early afternoon. It seemed that by the time the floor was prepped and they started outting down the hardwood, it was getting late in the afternoon and they would be working into the evening hours, which they did. They started to work alot faster the later it became. The first worker was working on a problem area where a floor joist was slightly raised; he did the best he could, said it couldnt get flush with the floor; another worker who came back the next day to put in bathroom flooring said he was wrong and they would come back to fix, which they did. After a few days of really looking closely at the finished floor, I noticed some slight "gaps" between some boards. Earlier one of the workers told me that best thing to do was put matching putty to fill in gaps, which I did instead of calling them back, which would have taken more time off for me or my wife.

We found him on Angie's list.? He pretty much listened to what we wanted.? He did what we asked, so that was nice.? He pretty much stuck to what he said he would do and when he would do it, so he stuck with the contract.

Andrew and Shawn did a great job cleaning the commercial carpet in our building. They represent the company well in that they were well mannered and very professional. There was a situation that prevented the job from starting on time but that wasn't the fault of the service technicians. The carpet was cleaned to perfection in the end. The owners were pleased with the outcome.

A Plus is professional, punctual and provide superior customer service. In 2009, they arrived on time but didn't have enough water to clean our carpets because they had just completed a big job earlier in the day. They ended up having to use our water but took 10% off for the inconvenience. The second time the carpet cleaning process happened without a hitch. Tim (the guy who cleaned the carpets both times) was friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to use them again later this year. The price for the services in 2010 is slightly more than in 2009 because we had an additional set of stairs cleaned.

I would definitely use them again. Easy to schedule with, punctual and the young man sent out do do the cleaning was friendly and professional.

Overall, the experience was very positive. We had new flooring installed in our sun room. So, we decided to have the entire first floor refinished so that the flooring looked like it was all done at the same time. I turned to Angie's List to find a company. A Plus had many outstanding reviews, so I called them for an estimate. Vinny arrived on time and was courteous. He gave us an estimate and I called him the next week to arrange for the work to be done. We had to be out of the house for 4-5 days. I was a little uneasy handing my house key over to virtual strangers, but it went very well. A Plus did an amazing job. We had just had our kitchen remodeled and a new island installed. A Plus was wonderful about staining the toe kick to match the island (rather than the floor). They genuinely wanted us to be happy with the job - and they stand behind their work! I know now why A Plus has such wonderful reviews. I would highly recommend A Plus.

We were given an estimate in December 2010 for work to be done in March.? In February the exact date was set up.? The crew arrived on the date set and worked for three very full days to complete the job.? The crew was very professional and wanted us to be happy with the results.? Our floors had been covered with carpet, twice and some not.? They came with the house which was built in 1974, so they had their work cut out for them . Our floors look like new.

I posted a review in February when we had our hardwood floors refinished and ultimately got our family room carpet replaced (on A Plus' dime) after polyurethane was spilled on it. Yesterday, my husband snagged the edge of the Berber carpet while vacuuming and it caused a pull/run in the carpet about 2 1/2 feet long. The owner, Eric, had given us his personal cell phone number in the winter when we'd had some issues, and told us to always call him directly in the future. My husband called and Eric immediately said he would come out first thing in the morning to fix the carpet. When my husband asked what he could expect to pay, Eric told him it would be an easy, quick job and that he'd take care of it. He sent two men this morning who fixed the carpet beautifully. On top of that, my husband had left the spare carpet they'd left in February outside and he had to ask Eric to send extra, which he had on hand in his warehouse. Though I wouldn't give my husband an A for his decision to leave our spare carpeting outside, I enthusiastically recommend Eric and A Plus and will never, ever use anyone else to do work in my home as long as they're in business. You cannot go wrong with A Plus, because they truly follow through on issues and go above and beyond to take care of their customers.
