A Plus Carpet & Flooring

The salespeople we worked with, Ryan and Lou, were helpful and patient and answered all of our questions. They were very punctual when coming to the house to measure and give quotes. A Plus was highly recommended to us by friends, and we've seen the work they do and are impressed with it. However, the quote for everything was a bit more than we expected, so we got quotes from other places and found another top-rated Angie's List company with the exact same products for a cheaper price (saving about $400), so we decided to go with them instead since A Plus had already given us the lowest quote they could (including the Angie's List discount).

Everything went smoothly. The staff came on time and worked steadily. THey did a very professional job, cleaned up after themselves, etc. I'd recommend them highly. No complaints at all. They offer a "free" carpet cleaning of adjacent areas-- nice marketing touch but as far as cleaning it isn't very useful/effective. The person who did this service (I scheduled this for about one week after the floors were installed) came exactly on time when scheduled and was very nice... but done in 45 minutes and really I couldn't notice much difference. So, I wouldn't use them based on this "freebie"... but their services for the main item-- the installation of hardwood floors was A+

A Plus replaced all of the carpet in my home (upper floor and staircase), and the experience was perfect.? The salesman and installers were both prompt and courteous.? The installation was timely and the work was excellent.? I definitely recommend them.

About a couple of weeks ago, I called A Plus Carpet and Flooring to make an appointment for a consultation and estimate. They called me right back, and we scheduled the appointment. I took the day off from work and expected them to be here for the appointment. The day of the appointment, no one showed up. When I called them back, they indicated that they had called me earlier in the week to confirm the appointment, and since they had not heard back from me, I would need to reschedule my appointment. When we initially spoke they never indicated that they would be calling to confirm the appointment. And, outside of one call two days ago, they never called back again to inform me that my appointment would be cancelled. They wasted my time, and I won't be using them in the future.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I went to the showroom and worked with Vinnie, who was very helpful and patiently answered my very naive questions. He showed me several options based on my description of what I wanted. Then, when I made my decision, he worked with me to schedule the installation. The installers arrived promptly on installation day and did a beautiful job. I would definitely use A Plus again.

I can't recommend A+ enough. Eric and his team did a fantastic job. From the first time I contacted them to the follow up after the installation was complete, they were top notch with everything they did. Not only was their price competitive, Eric worked with me to select the best style, color and type of carpet for my needs. As I single woman buying her first home after being divorced, I was pretty clueless as to what I needed. Their patience and knowledge really helped make the process seem less intimidating for me. The installers showed up on time, with the right material, and worked hard all day to make sure everything went right. They were super friendly, professional and went over everything with me to make sure I was satisfied with the installation. I couldn't have asked for better service. I will definitely use them for any and all of my future flooring needs. In fact, I'll be contacting them soon for upholstery cleaning! Thanks so much to Eric and his team for doing such a great job!

Everything went fine and I would use this company again.? I am not sure how knowledgeable the salesman was regarding preparing the floors for odor damage caused by cats.? I did follow his plan but am fearful that it will cost me in future decisions regarding this property.

Superb! From start to finish, a first rate experience. I walked into the showroom to look for help and was greeted immediately. I explained that I had water damage to my rec room carpet from a leak. I was introduced to Tom who took down all the details. He came by the very next day, pulled up the rug and told me he could save the rug. I thought for sure I would be out a rug and pad. So, he pulled out the pad, dried everything out and sprayed down a mildew retardant. A few days later, an A Plus team came out and replaced the pad and the whole thing looks like new. Very prompt and most professional.

Fantastic! Called up A Plus due to very favorable prior experience with carpet repair. This time, I asked them to clean/shampoo our carpet. They we able to come the next day. Justin was wonderful. Very polite, efficient and wasted no time. We have a German Shepard who made a couple of stains as a pup. Justin was able to get the stains out when another firm who we used about a year ago could not. I would recommend this service to anyone. Superb!!!!!!

My experience went very well. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was a little high at first but after negotiating they were happy to bring the price down. They were hard workers and we were pleased with outcome of the job. I would recommend this company to others.

Everything went exactly as planned. The two technicians who did the carpeting cleaning were very courteous. They were very careful with our furniture. They got spots out of our rugs that the previous company had not been able to remove. We will definitely use them again.

Their crew sanded, finished, and stained the hardwood floors in our living room and kitchen whilst we were away on vacation.? We worked with them to select the finish and poly to match our taste.? Their work was flawless and the entire process couldn't have been easier.

They were very patient while I took a very, very long time to decide on the carpet. They honored a quote given to me a year earlier and worked around my schedule for the installation. The workmen were amazing. Their work ethic was tremendous and the two of them were able to replace the carpet in 4 rooms and my stairs in 1 day. There have been no problems with the installation but there was a defect in the padding which they repaired promptly. There was never a hesitation or question from them. They definitely earned 5 stars from me!

We had red oak floors installed when we purchased our home in 2000.? Another company refinished the floors in 2007.? They did a terrible job and left hills, valleys and gouges in the floors.? We did not think the floors would ever recover from the mess they made. A Plus just?refinished our floors.? Not only did they make the floors look like new, they actually look better than new! We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this company.? In fact, we are planning to have them install engineered wood floors on our family room level in the near future.

The team arrived promptly and immediately set to work on repairing as much wall and carpet damage as could be addressed on this first damage control visit. The removed the wet, moldy wall board, and lifted the water soaked carpeting and padding. They left 3 very large fans going for the next 3 days to dry out the wall and floorboards. The cement crack was repaired this week and we need to watch for additional damage before the wall is repaired and the carpeting replaced. The men worked efficiently and professionally. We feel good about having A+ do further work for us and have recommended them to neighbors and friends.

We chose this firm from the A?column from Angie's List.?The salesman was very professional? The workers help to move all the heavy furniture to the garage.? The workmen were very competent and did an excellent Job! Our floors had not been re-stained or polished in forty years...they were able to match the floor stain color?perfectly. We had to leave our house for the weekend?because it takes three days for the whole process. I would choose this firm, again.

Vinny showed up on time for the measurement and estimate as scheduled. He had all the samples and information with him. Making a choice from the options was easy. On installation day, the team showed up on time as scheduled. They quickly and efficiently removed the old carpet and padding, cleaned up the remnants, installed the new padding and carpet, and cleaned up afterwards. They were very efficient, did a great job, and the carpet looks great! This was almost too easy, affordable and efficient to believe. I would highly recommend A Plus Carpet & Flooring to friends, neighbors, and other Angie's List members.

As a first time customer of A Plus Carpet & Flooring, INC, we recently purchased hardwood flooring and installation services from your company. We wanted to thank you for your time and consideration in helping us make this purchase. Our overall experience was good. Their price was better than the others on Angie's List. MUCH BETTER! We just moved into a brand new house. The builder had provided hardwood in the kitchen, morning room, and foyer. The other places had carpeting. I contracted A Plus Carpet and Flooring to match the hardwood of the existing hardwood. I provided them with the model number of the wood and they ordered it and delivered to my home with no problem. Actually, the owner, Eric Rome came out and delivered it to the house. Our sales representative, Vinny Valentine was outstanding from the preliminary stages of meeting us at the model home in the Belle Haven community in late October, to meeting us at our home during the construction in April, and finally to helping us ease our anxiety of the color disparity in May. His accessibility by phone, text, and email was outstanding. We never had any difficulty reaching him if we had a question or concern. We would like to thank Eric Rome and Rosemary Angeli for your customer service as well. When we first saw our floors after installation, we were shocked by the color disparity. Honesty, we were very upset by the explanation about how the floors that it would eventually blend. We thought that was a generic answer to evade fixing the floor. But after research of this subject and looking at the floor for the past three weeks, your explanation was correct. The floors are beginning to blend it and we will not see a color disparity in six months. My wife is very happy now! We appreciate your swiftness of addressing our concerns in person, by phone, and text. The color mismatch WAS NOT A Plus Carpet and Flooring's fault. If you decide to tooth in hardwood with pre-existing floors without resanding, expect some color disparity and it will blend it a couple of months. We love our floors. We look forward to contracting your company?s services again in a couple of years to re-sand the floors in our rental property. We mentioned to Vinnie that we made a huge mistake of polyurethaning our floors.

The person who provided the estimate did not do the repair. The person who did the estimate ordered the wrong thickness of flooring. The installer who repaired the flooring noticed the discrepancy and suggested a more simple and less costly process and repaired the board in 15 minutes. I was billed $685.00 for the job, which included the cost of the flooring which was the wrong thickness and wasn't used. I protested the cost, pointed out the error and the price was reduced to $385.00, which helped, but still seems high. The process took 60 days, and could have been avoided if the person who did the estimate had the experience and skills to accurately evaluate the situation and provide an informed estimate. As of today I have been completely refunded

The carpet installation went smoothly and faster they we expected. We did not have any problems communicating our wishes and the installers consulted us throughout the day.? We definitely recommend this company.

Overall the floor was installed in record time and the crew was unbelievably excellent.? They made sure we were pleased with how they installed the flooring and they continually cleaned up as they proceeded.? I would recommend this company to anyone who expects perfection on their job.

Quality of work done was excellent. ?Responsiveness was satisfactory; we had a short time window to get the work done and there was a bit of back-and-forth to settle on a schedule. ?But the work was done to meet our schedule and was well done.

It did not went well with A Plus Carpet & Flooring. I had the guy come in and he gave me an in-home estimate; that went well. I felt he was professional and he was on time. The first time they installed the carpet, they put in the wrong padding and the carpet was faulty so they had to come back. I need to call them a couple of times for them to come back. The carpet looks good, it's just the whole process of getting it done.

We have never used A Plus Carpeting before, but called them as part of receiving four different estimates to have the carpet in the owner/master bedroom replaced. We wanted something inexpensive, as we are selling the home, and want it to show better, but just in case the new owners want to replace the carpet with flooring, we did not want to invest too much money. We chose A Plus, because they were the least expensive. It was easy to schedule an estimate with the sales rep. He showed up on time, and was professional in appearance and attitude. The day we scheduled the installation, March 25, it was snowing, and we weren't sure if they would still install or not - of course we were hoping not, but still wanted to confirm, and nobody contacted us to confirm. Tried emailing and calling the sales rep, but no response. Called the main office, and received a 'flippant' attitude of "of course we won't be coming to install your carpet when it's snowing - would you want them to come through your home with new carpet when it's snowing?" They then called later in the day to reschedule for March 27. The day of the installation, March 27, everything went smoothly with the two employees they sent out. They moved all the furniture, got rid of the old carpet, installed the new carpet, and put all the furniture back where it was. Shortly after they left, we were checking out the new carpet, and realized that they had put a dent in one closet door and a hole in the other closet door where we had hinge pin stops at the top of the doors to prevent them from swinging all the way back and hitting furniture. The door with the hole even had the broken-off hinge pin stop hanging out of the hole. We contacted the main office of A Plus, and they said they would send someone out to look at the doors. On March 29, a very professional manager came out to look at the doors, and indicated this happens often when there are hinge pin stops on the doors. He asked if he could take the doors to have them repaired and said he would return them on April 1, along with a new hinge pin stop to replace the broken one. On April 1, the sales rep called to see if they could bring the doors on the afternoon of April 2. We explained that no one would be home, but it was okay for them to bring them on April 3. On April 3, an employee came and installed the repaired doors. The doors showed the obvious repairs, as they either did not paint them or used a flat paint and the doors are painted with semi-gloss paint. We asked if that was the best they could do with the repairs, and the employee said 'yes'. We asked about the hinge pin stop, and he said they did not tell him he was supposed to bring one. We explained that the manager who took the doors said he would replace it because their employees broke it. The employee said he didn't have one with him, but he would return April 5 with one. He never returned. We have not heard anything back from them. We asked the painter who was doing some other painting in the house to paint over their repairs with the appropriate paint, and as a result it is not as noticeable. We decided it's not even worth it to contact them again for a hinge pin stop. It's a shame that all of this happened for such a small job. We were initially impressed, but ultimately disappointed.

From the time Bill came to our home for measurements to the last touches on the install, A Plus was outstanding. After obtaining the measurements & discussing what we wanted in each area, we went to the showroom. Bill had already pulled samples of the things we had discussed & eliminated the need for hunting around. He listened & adjusted based on our conversation. The installers were timely, professional, and communicated throughout the 2 day job. Bill also made a point of calling to check on things and came by to assess the work. A Plus was not the cheapest provider, but they were by far the most attentive, detail oriented & customer focused flooring company we experienced. The quality of their product and service was not rivaled once during our assessment of other providers. We would use them again in a heartbeat.
