AL GHEEN TREE SVC

I called them to ask for a bid on the job. Oddly, I could not reach a live person by phone but could only leave a voice-mail message. They called me back the next day and set up an appointment to see me and the tree. A man from the business met me at my house and, after looking at the tree, he gave me a bid. I thought the bid was very reasonable. He came back to cut off the branches while I was at work, so I didn't see him do the work. But he followed my instructions carefully and cleaned up the cut branches after the work was done.

We decided to go with Al Gheen because he was by far the lowest bid we received, and we liked that he lives in our neighborhood. When we moved into our house, there was a large stump (about 2' in diameter) near the house which we wanted removed because of potential termite attraction (and aesthetics, let's be honest). There was also a beautiful, healthy oak tree in the middle of the yard, but it needed the canopy raised, as the lower branches were dead. The day I called him, he came and checked out our projects while we were at work and left an estimate in the mailbox! After we accepted, he came out to do the work within a couple of days. They were prompt and friendly. All that was left was a pile of mulch from our obliterated stump. I happened to be working from home the day they were there, and he checked with me that I was happy with the trimming of the oak tree - I was. We will definitely use him again next time we have tree needs.

I'd received quotes ranging from 2 k to 6500 for this work. I'd used Al Gheen in the past and was pleased with the experience so it was an easy choice since he also gave me the lowest bid. As usual they were careful, professional and efficient. The tree was taken down and the wood was removed. I'd use his service again in a heartbeat.

A tree, approximately 30 feet high with a fairly wide base fell on my property in College Park. I got three estimates, the cheapest was from Al Gheen who gave me a price of $350. The took care of it the next day, were extremely nice and even called somebody to take care of the wood. Overall great experience
