Adcocks Trapping Service

I had odor problems that I couldn't get rid of in my finished basement and unfinished attic, no matter how much I cleaned. When I heard squeaking coming from the ceiling I called Adcocks. They sent a very knowledgeable representative over who went carefully over my whole house, inside and out. He said we had mice in the basement and possibly bats in the attic. He set a number of traps in both locations and in three days we had three mice. The traps killed the mice instantly, which seems much more humane than glue traps. He gave detailed information about what we should do. I learned to set the traps myself and eventually eliminated eleven mice in about two months. (fyi we never saw a mouse or mouse droppings in the house - apparently they were only in the basement ceiling and did their eating outside). When we were no longer catching mice, Adcocks sent a team over who sealed up all of the possible entry points into the house, screened all accessible duct openings and installed a "counter trap" (a one-way device that let any bats in the attic leave but would not let them back in). We still weren't sure I had bats but it seemed reasonable. Sure enough, the first evening at dusk I heard banging in the duct over my oven which I assume was a bat or bats trying to get out through the now-screened opening. No problems since then. I was completely happy with Adcock's service. Their prices were very reasonable for the amount of time they spent and they have completely resolved the problem. I highly recommend them.

We are very happy with what they did so far. They are very professional and experienced. They are very pleasant. It's a three phase operation. They came out to inspect, then have to loosen the house, and then they come back to set up the traps. They were very professional and they knew exactly what they were doing. They can't guarantee the bats won't come back again since we are in a townhouse. They are honest with you.

We discovered a small animal in our enclosed fireplace late one evening. It appeared to be a baby squirrel. I called Adcock's the first thing the next morning, and they were able to come at about noon of that same day. The serviceman investigated and found a (by-then) dead flying squirrel on a ledge inside the enclosed fireplace. The squirrel had gotten in because recent high winds had blown one of our two chimney caps into a partially open, raised condition, and the squirrel entered that way. I had Adcock's remove the dead squirrel and come back several days later with correct size replacement chimney caps (much better than the original Hechinger caps) which had been on the chimney for a dozen years. The serviceman was careful in regard to working inside the home as well as careful to avoid walking on our cedar shake roof--and the only reason he did not install the new caps on the same day was that they needed leg extenders, which he did not carry on the truck. Otherwise he would have done the entire job in one day. My wife and I were exceptionally impressed by the whole experience, and we would have no reluctance whatsoever to use Adcock's again (and again as needed... we live on 5 acres in the woods).

They came and did a thorough inspection to find the holes where the mice might be coming in and gave me a detailed list of where the holes were. They gave me an estimate for fixing the repairs themselves (but I also had the option to find my own repair person). I had them do the repairs and it went well. Mouse problem was significantly reduced after the first repair. However, I was still getting a few mice on the sticky traps. I called them again and they came out for free, inspected again, and did a couple more repairs (for free). This solved the problem.

They came out and did what they said they were going to do. The price seemed fair to me.

They came out and removed it for me. They discounted the price that was originally quoted and he also looked around the yard for any additional dead animals or obvious problems.

I called them because I had raccoons in my walls. The person who came out insisted that they came in through the doggie door even though I told him that I had closed AND locked the door myself. Besides they were not in the house. He set up a trap near the doggie door. I had seen them go under my porch, but he would not listen. When nothing happened, we moved the trap to where I had seen them. We caught one that night.

When emptying the traps, they accidentally did some damage to another part of the house. The technician immediately let us know what had happened and promised Adcock would fix and cover all the costs. They did a good job of keeping us informed on the repair and they did fully fix it. My only note of a "B" grade instead of an "A" on responsiveness is they did take a while to make the repair (over three weeks). Otherwise very happy with how professionally they handled that incident.

They came out to see the squirrel damage, and its entry point into the attic. They recommended remediation, including trapping, checking for entry into the attic, looking for offspring, repairing the damage, and making repairs that would help prevent squirrels from entering the house in the future. They caught the squirrel after several days, and removed it from the property. They ensured that it hadn't had offspring in the attic, and made all repairs necessary. They did a very professional job, at a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire them again.

They were pretty good. We paid for trapping the animal in 5 days but they gave us an extra day. You don?t pay for what you catch but you pay for the trapping. However, it is not guaranteed with groundhogs since it?s not inside the house and it?s on the outside. The guys who came in were very professional and nice. They even had a problem with our credit card and so they got it fixed by calling their office. They checked the trap once a day and then baited it over the weekend. They left it and then removed the traps just yesterday. In most of the counties around here, you can trap an animal but you cannot remove from your property or transport without a permit. So there are probably people out there who do it and do it under the table and leave it somewhere else. They are probably not difficult to trap but you could get fined. I think that the price was reasonable and we didn?t call many places to compare. I would have loved to pay less but they caught them for now. We were actually lucky because there was a female groundhog that was caught. They said that they would check if the female had a family. They were pretty thorough. They were responsive since we called them on Friday and they were here on Monday. They used be here within the time window they specified and that was fine. If need be, then we would use their services in the future but we hope that we don?t have to.

The company gave us an initial quote for the trapping service and came and installed the traps on the agreed date. At that time they suggested the additional services that would prevent the problem from re-occurring. We subsequently called them back for the installation of the aluminum replacement materials. Service people were polite and professional and came when promised.

They were very professional, and the service was excellent. We haven't had any more mice since.

They also did an inspection of another place in the house where birds were entering. The work was effective. I haven?t had that problem anymore. They were professional, efficient, and also cleaned up after themselves.

They were very professional. They came to the house several days in a row - first to identify the type of animal, then to set traps and monitor activity - to make sure they had removed all critters prior to capping the entrance.

The experience wen't very smoothly. The diagnostic technician was very precise in his recommendations for what we should do, and what his company would provide. It is necessary to approach a pest problem from both angles for continued success. Adcocks guarantees their service for five years.

Adkocks set traps for three days and caught 1 opossum but saw another which he could not catch then. he returned the following week set the traps and caoght the other one. He asked if I wanted to trap again for another day for a an additional $50 and I agreed. To my surprise ae caught a third opossum the next day. I ahve not seen any since then. It has been about 2 months.

The company came promptly and on time when I call for someone to inspect a noise in the attic. They found no evidence of a squirrel, but thought that it might be a mouse. They laid out traps and, more importantly, caulked around the exterior of the house. These guys are expensive, but good.

Courteous and complete, the problem is fixed. They investigated the attic, where the noise was coming from and found two places where the animals may have been coming in through. Once sealed, there were no more noises. Set traps in the attic. Also determined areas in the crawl space where mice were entering, sealed those entry points, and set traps for mice. Initially, some mice were caught and now there aren't any in the house.

Great service. Clearly experts in pest removal. Couldn't have asked for more. If I ever here scratching noisescoming from the attic again, I know who to call.
