I got about 10 estimates, they weren't the lowest but weren't highest. I hope I don't need to but would use them again if needed.

The workmen were clean, professional and polite. The owner and manager were always on call if I had any questions. Follow through was prompt. I had a good experience and I had estimates and offers all over the page. I think I paid a fair price for premium work.

They responded quickly to the storm damage from a tropical storm even though there were a lot of other homes to service. A quick estimate was provided to the insurance company that was approved and the service provided quickly after that. Scott was very professional in all his dealings with me. I would use them again.

The estimate was too vague.

Marathon came out and provided a Tand M estimate to perform some basic roof maintenance. About a week later I received a letter describing the work to be performed and an estimated start date for the first week in September. When October rolled around, and they still had not shown up, I began calling to find out when/if they were going to do the work. I called their office three times, and each time the person who answered the phone knew my address as soon as I gave my name (so I was obviously on the books). Every time I was told that the service manager would shortly return my call and let me know the new date. They never called. Finally, in the last week in October I called a fourth time and was again told I would be called.... I informed them that if they couldn't be bothered to return my call by the end of the day they shouldn't worry about doing the work because I would find someone else to do it. I've not heard from them since. Marathon has done some work on my friends' houses and they seemed to do an ok job. They must do a decent job for someone since they obviously have so much work that they can freely ignore and throw away potential customers.

Our roof was mess and had leaked in a number of places from the time the house was built. It had lots of elevations,small sections and places that needed the flashing replaced (which meant tearing of the siding and replacing it). We had a quite a few roofering contractors out who never called us back. We finally talked to another well established roofing contractor who told us they wouldn't be competive for asphalt (because they specialize in wood shake and slate), but told us to call Marathon. The price was higher than we had hoped, but comparable to the one other quote we were able to get. We felt very comfortable with Scott and he explained everything that was required to fix the leaks. The main part of old roof was torn off and replaced in one day, but 2 men stayed for about a week working on all the areas that needed flashing. It looks great, and almost 2 years later we are still dry! We recently had Scott back to give us an estimate to put in a vent for our bathroom exhaust, and he was more than reasonable. Thanks Scott.

I had identified three broken slates. They found ten slates which they replaced. This was a very small job but they responded promptly, identified and told me about the additional slates and completed the work as described. Unlike some slate roofers, they charged by the hour, not by the slate.

They were punctual, on time, and finished the work as promised. So far, so good, no leaks. One thing they did not tell us was that there was a trim kit available for the skylights (Velux) that would have been helpful from a 'finishing' and 'painting' point of view. The cost for the kit was nominal. We will wait until we paint the interior to frame the window from inside the house.

Went as planned-no surprises.

Very pleasant experience; very detailed and helpful explanations. Estimate was provided in a few days, with lots of patient explanations for all the details. We are still trying to get other good estimates to compare to, so haven't hired anyone yet.

They couldn't t do it, because they didn t specialize in flat roofs. They could only do whole roof. They were actually very helpful when it came down to it, because they referred me to an excellent company in the long run. They apologized for there inconvenience and even offered me a discount if I needed my roof to be done over. They were very honest people.
