They put in the 2x4's walls crooked and bent the drywall. Screws are popping and ceiling looks as though it is ocean waves. Floors were installed wrong - they "leveled" the floors using just glue - there is dipping up to 1 5/8" all and many sections of the floor have popped. Electrical work was incomplete. Despite NUMEROUS complaints, phone calls, etc - NO response came from Awards Construction. The projects manager, Josh Hicks, quit the company and the owner seems to be uninterested.

All went as planned and on time. Very honest and straight forward.

Spectacular! I had a horrible smell and flies coming from the utility room. I though something had died in the dryer vent. I had met with Al Smith, proprietor, before, as his company regularly provides services to the entire condo association. I called and told him my problem, and he asked if they could come the next day. When I begged (just a bit), he agreed to try to arrange his schedule, called me back 4 minutes later, to say he could send his guys an hour after that!. Jason and John were professional and incredibly thorough. They arrived to the minute of the scheduled time (even a few minutes early). Although I directed them to the dryer, they checked everything (which I wanted)! FIrst they disconnected the washer line and found a clog with lots of really gross and odorous gunk (I don't even want to guess what it was). They removed the clog, cleaned the line, and checked the drain pipe carefully before replacing. Then they examined the dryer line and found 2 dead birds. They carefully removed and vacuumed out the vent pipe, cleaned and disinfected, and carefully controlled the waste and disposal. I was really impressed that Jason disposed of his work gloves since they had potentially come in contact with the detritus. They showed me the carcasses before carefully tying up the heavy duty trash bag (that they took with them to dispose). After explaining everything to me, replacing the dryer vent, and cleaning the area, they took my info and were on their way. It took around 30 minutes total. I can't imagine a better handling of a potentially drawn-out and unhealthy situation! And I feel like I dodged a bullet, as the clog in the washer line could easily have been overlooked!
