Ryan and Greg were great to with work with thru the whole process. Ryan helped us design the porch, talking us through the options at different price points. Our project manager, Greg, and his crew did an amazing job on the build. I really appreciated that Greg kept us informed at every step. And we love our new porch!

McWhorter Outdoor Living did a fantastic job for me. Ryan was very personable and cooperative. We worked on the design together. He made suggestions but didn't insist on his way and was willing to accept some of my suggestions. I met with Ryan several times during the job to ask questions or to voice concerns. Ryan made himself available, listened to my concerns and we worked out a resolution which was mutually acceptable.

OUTSTANDING! The project started sooner than we had even hoped and finished in plenty of time to use this entire season. From the planning to construction the whole project turned out exactly the way we had dreamed of. The entire crew built the project just as if it were their own - excellent attention to detail. Upon meeting with Ryan (the owner) we described what we were looking for: a screened in deck right outside our kitchen area, with a small non-screened in section to the left of the deck where we could put our grill. After taking some photos and measurements, Ryan came back about a week later with some pictures of a computer generated model of the new deck from several viewpoints. We loved it immediately. Once we got the necessary permits his crew built the deck in probably less than 2 weeks (would have been done sooner if not for the weather). The only delay was a slight wait for the custom ordered screens to be delivered by the manufacturer. The screened section has a lockable self-closing door out to the unscreened section (prevents our young grandchildren from wandering off of the deck), an overhead light/fan, and narrow shelf running about waist height running around the entire inside of the deck ( a convenient spot to place a cool drink while relaxing on the deck). We can now walk out from our kitchen/breakfast area onto screened deck and we love it!

The team worked diligently, taking breaks only when weather prohibited the work. They were punctual and professional, polite, and respectful. Any and all issues along the way were discussed with us appropriately ahead of time, and the team let us make choices regarding the project when appropriate every step of the way. The finished project is beautiful and very well done, earning us many compliments from friends and neighbors.

Company demolished old rear porch and replaced it with a new one and also constructed a new rear deck. Workers showed up when promised and began work immediately. They worked diligently each day and completed the job in a timely manner. The workers were polite, quiet and professional. Upon completion of the job, all of the construction debris was removed immediately and the yard and completed projects were left clean and neat. We will use the service of this company for other projects if needed in the future.

We had several companies provide estimates for building a screen porch off the back of our house. We got Ryan McWhorter's name from a neighbor who also had a porch done and was pleased with his work. Ryan was extremely helpful in making final decisions on the design and location. When we finally decided to add the porch onto the current deck, we planned to just replace the decking and use the same support structure. Ryan determined that the footers were not up to code and the deck was not attached to the house correctly. We then decided to do a full deck replacement with the porch on top. Ryan was present everyday and his crew did not change. Their work was meticulous. Ryan has a system for screening that allows individual sections to be removed if a screen needs replacement without major rework. Ryan also discovered some rotting house sheathing due to some shoddy workmanship in building the house that had the insulation visible and he repaired that also. Ryan handled all the permits and inspections and all passed without problems. We are extremely pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone wanted decking or porch work.

Mark McWhorter is awesome. Not only did he build me the house of my dreams, he made the process fun.
