They are punctual. If there was a problem, the came right away. Right in the beginning, we had a little bit of a problem and they came right out and took care of it. I am sure, judging from talking to the owner, if we were to have any kind of an issue like if it wasn't working, they will promptly take care of it. They are on call for 24 hours.

We recently purchased a home with a non-working generator. We wanted someone to come and diagnose the problem for us and to make repairs or help us install a new generator if it proved necessary. I contacted several companies I found on both Angie's List and the Generac Website's list of certified service providers. From one of them I heard nothing, from two others I got form emails about purchasing a new generator and from Applied Power Solutions I got a callback within the hour from a technician. He quoted me their price for a service call ($185) and verified that he would call me back the following Monday or Tuesday to schedule for later that week. On Tuesday he called as promised (even apologizing for not calling on Monday as he had hoped) and set up the appointment for Friday (exactly one week after I had initally called for a quote). On Friday two polite technicians came as scheduled and worked for an hour to get our generator working. We were so pleased. They gave us the option to add a standard maintenance to the appointment for a total of $275. The spent nearly another two hours performing service as they encountered some unexpected issues with our older machine and had to touch base with Generac for support. At the end of the servicing they provided a detailed checklist of what they had done and we had a working generator. I think it was $275 very well spent and I couldn't be happier with our experience with Applied Power Solutions.

when Dave came to do my estimate, he was clearly very knowledgeable, able to answer my questions effectively, and was responsive with follow-up on various details. It took us many months to get the work done, because the unit I wanted was on backorder. They were happy to use my electrician and plumber of choice. It took extra work to get my septic pump tied into the system, since I have a shared septic system with my whole neighborhood, and they were able to do that. the installation went smoothly, and the unit has functioned admirably in a recent power outage.

We had a whole house gas generator installed last fall. The generator has a weekly 10 minute run to insure it is working properly. Last Saturday (holiday weekend of all times) it ran rough and sputtered. There was a strong natural gas smell throughout our backyard. We were unable to contact our installer and I began searching for someone else to take a look at the problem. I found Applied Power Solutions as one of the installers / service providers on the Generac website. I sent an email from their website asking if they performed emergency service. This morning I received a call from Dave (the owner) saying they do. He was able to send someone out this afternoon. The technicians were knowledgeable and professional. They arrived at the scheduled time. When they had a question about the need for a regulator on our unit, they contacted Dave for verification and determined it wasn't needed. They said that the routine run had been set for quiet mode, which in their experience can cause problems like this. They looked over the unit and reset the mode. There wasn't a charge today since this may be covered by warranty.
