I'd say that the overall experience was great

Kurt, from Great American Landscapes, Inc., arrived promptly for our appointment. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He listened to our concerns, took a tour of the yard and commented on several options, and then did a more thorough assessment around the yard, taking photos, etc. He understood that we desired a prioritized plan, broken down into projects or segments, with pricing for each project. He said that he would send an itemized plan and estimate, broken down by project, within a week. Kurt forwarded a well-layed out estimate that covered all of the areas of concern, itemized by project, and prioritized by importance of project. The pricing was very reasonable, and he was very forthcoming about alternatives and what projects could/should wait, vs. which ones were recommended first. His plan, estimate and approach were very cogent. Kurt also touched base with us after he sent the estimate as follow-up to his visit. We are currently in the middle of some additional projects, but I would not hesitate to recommend this company based on our initial interaction. We will follow up with additional comments if/when work is done.

Called next day following purchasing the Deal. Arrived 2 days later as scheduled made some good recommendations about problem areas. About a week later, hand delivered fairly detailed sketch of rear yard recommendartion, as well as written recommendations plans for the front yard, a sample of the suggested edging product, and pricing broken down into 5 separate stages.

Juliane was very prompt and kind. When she couldn't make on of the appt. she's called me before the appointment time to reschedule and emailed the design in a timely manner.

Their landscape work was so beautiful that we hired them to do additional landscaping. We have used their services for three years now and we are always pleased with their attention to detail and their responsiveness to our questions and concerns. We also .call on them on a regular basis for maintainance of all our outside needs - landscaping, pruning, fall cleanup and spring plantings. I highly recommend them

They were very good. They did a nice job. They were on time. It was the first time we had used them. The price was reasonable for the wall. They were very professional.

They were very responsive and got me a quote quickly. They were very prompt. I didn't go with them because somebody got me a better price. They wanted $5,400 and the person who got it was $4,500. It wasn't a crazy difference but enough to go with the other person. I would use them in the future.

All the jobs we have had them do went smoothly.

He is very professional and always seemed to know what he was doing. He gave great recommendations that have worked out over time. I would highly recommend him.

In general, they did the job rather well. The patio, the stone work for the creek bed, and the stone wall turned out fine, but the brick work left something to be desired, and we disliked the sod that they used.

They arrived on time, worked quickly and neatly, and they did an excellent job. The yard looks great! Furthermore, some items they planted had been attracting deer which were damaging the lawn, so they replaced the items at their own expense. They also corrected little issues which added to the overall aesthetic of the yard. Needless to say, I will be using them for future work.

Everything went well with the initial work, and the workers themselves couldn't have been nicer. However, the front office seemed disinterested in providing routine maintenance a year after the installation.

The company was very courteous, finished the job on time, and its craftsmanship was superb. It was pleasure dealing with the company contact person as well.

Because the company was recommended by Angie's List I contacted them to see if they wored in my area and would be open to visiting and providing an estimate. The person I spoke with on the phone said she did not know if they work work in Burke, VA, but she would check and call me back. I never heard back from them. It would be fine if they do not work in my area, but I would have appreciated the call back that was promised.

Barry came out to the house a couple of times to talk to us about the issues we had been having with minor water seepage in our basement following hurricane Irene. He was very knowledgeable and was willing to talk through several different options for our complicated lawn drainage situation. Estimates were prompt as were answers to our questions. He came out day-of to oversee the work and had a great team leader on site all day. The workers did a great job, were friendly and didn't mind explaining their work throughout the day. Price estimate came in middle of the road so we were confident it was fair. Only minor downside was that they charge a fee to use a credit card for payment, so we paid by check. It was worth the minor inconvenience to have such great work done. No more water in the basement!
