CHRIS HART'S GAS SVCS

Decided to convert from electric dryer to gas dryer. Fairly simple install. New line installation in unfinished basement and through floor to dryer location. Chris was great. Provide an estimate over the phone based on my measurements of how far the line needed to be run. He communicated well, installed the new line and took care of the whole project. Very happy with the service and results.

Chris did an excellent job of cleaning up and adjusting my gas fireplace burner unit and log set. It works great now!

Everything went great. Once I called Chris Hart, I was directed to send an email, which I did and he responded within 24 hours and let me know he was out of town and asked me to email with dates that were good for me and he would check his schedule when he got back, Once he got back, he let me know what date he would come out. Chris came out and thoroughly cleaned the entire fireplace, check on the line - turns out it was clogged, he flushed that out with air and put everything back in, the pilot came on and everything working great now. Very pleased with service and response.

Our twenty-year-old town home was built with a gas fireplace, which stopped working several years ago. Given it's age and a prior repair that was only effective for a few months, I expected that the would require an expensive repair, or replacement. Chris Hart diagnosed the problems (some faulty wiring and a bad wall switch), and the fireplace was repaired quickly and at reasonable cost.

The whole process was seamless from start to finish. Chris was very professional and worked well with my electrician to coordinate installing the electric box for the blower. His crew protected my home with covers in their work area and cleaned up after their job. The breakdown of the cost below is $4,000 for equipment and $2,000 for the labor.

First time the supplier gave him the wrong burner. Came back one week later with correct unit and installed it very efficiently. Very neat worker. Price may have been a bit high based on cost of the burner unit but it was worth it because I had faith in the quality of his work.

Excellent! I called several gas fireplace companies during the very busy time of November to see about getting a new gas fireplace installed within the first two weeks of December. All the VA companies were very prompt in their calls back to me but told me they did not do installations in MD because they were so booked. A Maryland installer could not get me on the books for even an estimate until late February. Chris, in spite of his busy schedule, promptly returned my call, met me punctually for the estimate, and installed the fireplace and moved a gas line for me by my desired date. He and his son, Chris, were very professional, polite, and answered all my 'new-to-gas customer' questions completely. A week later I thought I smelled gas in the garage and called Chris. He told me there would be no gas smell there but still fit me in between jobs to check it out checking our house for gas and finding nothing (it turned out to be a houseguest's car that had spilled gasoline on it!). A couple of other questions ensued as we got used to the new fireplace, and Chris always returned my phone calls, and was very helpful and patient with me. I cannot say enough good things about the service that was provided to us. We are thoroughly enjoying our fireplace - we ordered the contemporary style heat & glo surround with remote and it's quite attractive. Our house in winter has always been chilly, and the addition of the fireplace has really warmed it up both in temperature and ambiance.

They were punctual and serviced the fireplace and they got the fan to work for the first time in 16 years. They presented me with different options as well as the price for each one. Very efficient.

I reached out to this provider because he had the best reviews and he's close to me, but I never got a hold of him. I contacted Angie's List and asked to to reach out to him. They must have called him, because he called me and he told me to email him. He told me he had been sick. I made the appointment. He was supposed to come out on the 26th or the 27th, but we had the snowstorm. He has not called or followed up with me since.

It was great. Chris was so helpful and friendly. The smoke detectors went off at one point, and he handled it like a pro. I would absolutely use them again.

Chris was extremely helpful, responsive and honest about the cost and time required to obtain parts to repair the gas log set. He kept me informed along the way and answered all my questions. Highly recommended due to his professionalism and responsiveness.

He was terrific in every way. The fireplace is still working. He was on time. He was very professional. You can count on him to provide reliable service. When we forgot to use some of the features, he came out and helped us fix the problem.

The service turned out very well. There were no other additional charges for the service on top of the Big Deal. I would use them again in the future.

Chris did a great job. He made an extra effort to get the gas logs in before Christmas. Chris is not a man of many words; most of our communication was by email. We paid half up front via Paypal and the remainder by check. The installation went as planned and Chris was extra careful to clean up afterwards. My only regret is I didn't install the gas logs years ago!

Fireplace works and looks better than it has in years. Great Job.

There were no additional charges. He really didn’t describe what he was doing or say much. He was in and out so fast. I wasn’t having any issue with my fireplace. It was just the annual checkup and cleaning of the fireplace. Usually when I have it done, the other contractors stay for little longer and they explain what they are doing and how they are doing it. It wasn’t a very pleasant experience. I wouldn’t recommend them. He may have done everything that he was supposed to do. But he never explained what he was doing. Usually when I have my fireplace serviced, the people take it apart and really clean it. He wasn’t that thorough.
