The serviceman came out to the house. He was a little late, but I had a bunch of other contractors there as well so it wasn't a big deal. He did the job professionally, within the hour. The outer box looks good, and Comcast was able to successfully install the internet after the work.

The work was done expediently and even though they had to cut a couple of walls, they patched it up pretty nicely. The quality of the actual work done was superior. My only concerns were that it did cost quite a bit of money, and a minor quibble that the owner did call us several times, as well us send a "holiday card" nagging me to complete this review, which offended me as pushy and inappropriate. However, the tasks for which we hired them went all as planned.

Charlie's crew showed up on time, were professional, and got the work done in relatively quick fashion. During the run, one of his installers accidentally stepped on the drywall in the attic and caused it to crack rather long down the upstairs hallways. Here is where Charlie's excellent customer service came in. These guys are telco guys and not drywall experts, so Charlie called in a subcontractor to get everything sorted out. Unfortunately, this first contractor did not make the repairs in a complete fashion, and left a mess behind. I let Charlie know, and he sent his guys out with a different contractor to investigate. They confirmed my account of incomplete repairs, and I was scheduled with a second contractor who came out and did an exceptional job. In fact, the second contractor got rid of some paint splotches left by the first that I hadn't got around to yet. What makes a company in my mind is not what they do when everything goes right, but how they fix it when things go south. C H Tel Co has my vote and my recommendation!

My job was a small one, and I didn't expect that one of the telcos, like Verizon, would have any interest. Of course I turned to Angies for to look for a vendor and was impressed by the member ratings of the CH-Tel Co. I called and reached the owner, Charley Hertel immediately. I have never had a better customer experience! When I explained my needs, Charley clearly explained his rates (which I thought were very reasonable for the work I needed). He then offered to send his technician the very next day!! I was floored. Rick (the technician) arrived on time and called me (I was at work), and we reviewed the requirements by phone. I stopped by the apartment on my way home from work. The job was done completely as I hoped. All work was professional and neat, and greatly improved the appearance of the apartment. So, within 48 hours I went from a problem to be solved to a perfect solution, and all by phone! I wouldn't hestitate to recommend Charley and his company to anyone who has needs similar to my own.

On time, pleasant and thorough. They solved a problem another company couldn't solve.

Rick was the technician that came out and was able to troubleshoot the problem. He did this in a timely manner and was able to correct the problem for me quickly. I will use their services again and would recommend them to others.

I was very impressed with C H Tel. Charlie was very friendly and helpful during my initial call. They came out very quickly to do an estimate, which was very thorough and professional. And the work was done in a professional manner. I would definitely use them again.

I called CH-Tel at the last minute, needing to have a new phone jack installed the next day. They came on time, did a great job, and were professional and competent in every respect.

I talked first with the owner, Charlie, who was personable and sympathetic about my problems and arranged an immediate appointment for me. Mike came out to do the diagnostics/perform the repairs. He called to let me know when traffic delayed his arrival slightly, and when he arrived he carefully checked every jack/box/wiring point, discovered part of the equipment which had been sealed in behind some paneling, replaced and repaired everything which needed fixing. He removed the paneling to get at the equipment, and then reattached it with screws so that the phone hub can be easily accessed in the future. Mike was professional, cleaned up behind himself and took the time to explain to me what my problems were and what was needed to resolve them. I had not expected to spend quite as much, but the hourly rate of $100 an hour was quoted to me in advance and the job turned out to be more complex and time-consuming than I had originally hoped. All in all I am very pleased with the responsiveness and the service provided by this company, and would unhesitatingly use them again and recommend them to others.

The technicians were on time, very competent, and courteous. The job was not an easy one, and they did it quickly and effectively.

I found CH TEL Co. on Angie's list and called them. Although they were in the middle of another job, and this was a relatively minor issue, they immediately arranged to send me two technicians who came promptly within a couple of hours, as promised. They checked the telephone line and made sure it was not active or connected to other apartments and removed the cables. They were prompt, efficient and courteous. The cost was reasonable. I would recommend CH Tel to others.

CH TEL CO. returned our message promptly. The came right on time on the scheduled day. The technician was very professional, efficient and courteous. He and my husband first looked at all the lines in each room, and then out to the FIOS box. The technician quickly found the source of the intermittent outages right at the box. (An extra line which was resting on main line and interferring with it). He also cleaned a bunch of extra lines that were coming from the box but no longer in use (perhaps related to a house-based business). Our house came with lots of mystery lines and T1 connections in other rooms, the technician also walked through each room to indicate which lines could be taken out if not being used. We were relieved that the source of the short wasn't in a line behind a wall. The accessibility of the source of the short is why our repair fee was lower than most. We were very pleased with CH TEL CO. and would recommend them to anyone. They quickly found source of the problem, and their price was very reasonable. A great independent alternative to having Verizon repair your internal phone line issue.

CH Tel scheduled a service call very promptly. The problem was identified and repaired quickly. The phones have worked perfectly since then. The staff is very friendly and helpful--a pleasure to do business with.

Everyone at CH Tel is wonderful. Charlie set up our move, and came out about a week before to measure and diagram the new suite. Rick came in a day later and prepared the suite, including getting out old jacks and covering them before the painter arrived. This really made the difference in the appearance of the office. Rick made sure that all the jacks were in perfect working order. On the day of the move, Rick arrived exactly on time, and seamlessly moved our phone system. You couldn't tell that we had ever been in the old office. Both Rick and Charlie got the phones installed and set up in our new office. Rick even talked to Verizon for me, when their technician arrived (Verizon was our only problem). Charlie called twice after the job was completed to check on us. He even helped with valuable advice for our move. We have used CH Tel in the past, and they will always get our business.

It went great! He was going to be working in my area the day after my initial call, so he came over in the early evening when he had finished. He disconnected my old system, installed the new one, and made sure everything worked.

Their work was excellent. Mike and Rick showed up on time, worked tirelessly, and cleaned up afterwards. The quality of their work was superb. In summary, our connectivity improved tremendously.

It went well. The technician had to come twice due to the weather. He was good, creative and efficient.

When we put an addition on our house, the new phone lines caused terrible AM radio interference on our phone line. Mike came out and diagnosed the problem and suggested a few different solutions. We ended up going with a filter on the phone line - he ordered the part and came out and installed it a few weeks later. In the meantime, Charlie in the main office kept in touch with us as we tried a few other potential solutions, including complaining to the radio station.

Bottom line - I would highly recommend CH -TEL. Charlie (the owner) was great over the phone in explaining how everything would work. Rick (who did the actual work) first came out to my house to determine what needed to be done for the estimate. Again, it was very confusing what was going on with the old wires and what could be salvaged and what needed to be done. I was very impressed with Rick's knowledge of the situation, but most of all trusted him. He figured everything out and I had an estimate emailed to me later that evening. On the day of the job, Rick showed up with another worker promptly as promised @ 9 AM and spent the better part of the day doing the job, which was not an easy one. They were very professional and explained everything they did in a way that was easy to understand. All TV's and internet were checked prior to leaving, and everything was cleaned up real well. Very satisfied!

Charlie and Rick did an excellent job. They both came out to my house to take a look at the current connections and to figure out how best to wire my home, making sure that we avoided unsightly wires to the greatest extent possible. They did a very thorough job, looking carefully at all wiring possibilities given my existing set-up to come up with the best solution. They removed unsightly and unnecessary wiring from the side of my house, and ran my wires up through my basement and walls, only needing to use one modem and making connectison super-easy in every location where I requested them. I also have NO internet wires running along the baseboards of my living room. Charlie was incredibly conscientious. You can tell he really cares about the job he does and works hard to come up with the best solutions. He kept me updated with the work (some parts had to be done before we painted and fixed up pur walls, some parts ahd to be done after that), and was excellent about checking in with me. Rick, who does most of the wiring work (at least on my job), did a great job too. He had very good ideas to offer, and was prompt and professional. The guys really did a fantastic job - everything looks great and works well. I threw a spanner into their works by letting them know, after they had basically finished the job, that I was goign to be using FIOS instead of Comcast (note - let the guys know which cable company you're using!!) They made an effort to come over promptly and made the necessary adjustments and really went above and beyond the call of duty to fix a mistake which was due to my error. Charlie and Rick were easy to work with, accomodating to my needs, and most importantly, delivered an excellent result.

They were very professional. However, I got a recommendation from someone personally who also had a good rating & used their services instead.
