Quick response, easy scheduling. The staff were prompt, and did an excellent job. They showed up on time, explained everything to me, and gave me an estimate. The performed the work exactly as I wanted it. They tested everything and cleaned up afterwards. The work looks very professional. I would recommend them and use them again.

CH Tel was really great to deal with. Very polite and helpful on the phone when making the appointment and determining what the wiring issue might be. The service techs were on time, professional, worked diligently, and explained all their work to me. Charlie, the manager back in the office, called me after the job to help me explore possible replacement phones for my old system and researched some options on his own time. I was impressed by their helpfulness.

Outstanding service. Charlie from CH-Tel took the time by telephone to figure out if his company could help us and recommended our next steps. Technician Mike came out the morning after our call, at the time scheduled. He told us what was causing our wiring problem within a few minutes, told us what equipment we needed and the best (least expensive!) source for finding it. He answered all our questions knowledgeably and efficiently.

Charlie was fabulous! He needed to come when the lines were wet (ie a rainy day) so he arranged his schedule to make this happen. When the day turned out not to be rainy, he rearrange his schedule again!. He did not wait for me to call him back, but he called me. After the work was done he called me to make sure everything was still ok. He told me what I needed to tell the phone company to make them fix the problem without having them charge me. He refused payment until the problem was fixed. Charlie was honest and professional. This is a man who truly loves his business and the people he deals with. I highly recommend CH-Tel!

Extremely courteous and professional. They took great care while they were here. Very customer oriented. Felt like I was getting personalized service. Upfront about pricing. I had just ordered Comcast internet service and needed an outlet in study to connect to computer. I did not have a connection after the outlet was installed. Ch-Tel followed up to see if I was able to get connected. Comcast did have to come out afterwards to do some type of connection, but there was no charge for that.

The crew that was assigned the project was knowledgeable, very efficient, and resourceful. They knew exactly what needed to be done, arrived at a solution with very little "dithering", and worked very quickly to affect the agreed upon solution. I could not be more pleased with the whole job! I will go back to this company for this kind of help any time it is required.

Charlie and his team were great. Charlie listened to my issues and suggested a few things the guys could check when they showed up at the house. The team showed up exactly on time, were courteous and more importantly found the issue on each problem with the house. The price was reasonable for the amount of time they spent tracing the issues and I would use them again.

Some phone wiring in our house had turned into an antenna and we were getting an AM radio signal coming through our phone line so that you couldn't hear the caller. This actually had happened on a different phone line before so we suspected we needed a filter installed. Mike came and did the job. The phone line is clear again. He is knowledgeable and also was willing to listen to the results of the diagnostic work I had already done so the process was very efficient. In this day and age, the price is reasonable when you consider what you have to pay for any house call for technical services. The filter itself is hand made so the $35 for the part was reasonable. And, of course, the big advantage is that you don't have to deal with Verizon or Comcast customer service which is never a good experience for me. The scheduling was easy. We had to wait a week for the filter part to come in as they were out of them, but that was ok.

Charlie and his staff were very professional and considerate. They finished their work on time as promised, they were diligent about communications prior to the work being completed, to cut down he possibilities of error. All in all I think Charlie went above his scope of work and will use them again for future work in our office.

The repairman was on time, courteous, and careful. He cleaned up very carefully. He found a live phone line in a wall that had been disturbed during the remodel.

Rick and Evilo arrived promptly and accomplished what I feared was an impossible snaking job really quickly. I have one of those old houses with plaster walls, lots of built-in walls and strange crannies. They were pleasant and professional and clearly know ethernet/phone/tv installation and testing. I asked them to advise me on TV wall mounting and Rick discussed the different locations it could go as well as placement of the various boxes that TVs need these days. They also helped me understand how I could organize my modem/router/switches and ALL THE WIRES that go with today's phone/cable/networks. Phew. I am going to have them come and do it. Finally some order in the house!

It went perfectly! Update November 17, 2015 I am so amazed by the speed of my new network. I am not sure if anyone knows the difference between a 100Mbps connection and a 1000Mbps connection. The second one is called a "Gigabit" connection. Way back in 2009 I bought a laptop capable of that speed. But I had no cable in my home that was capable of that. When C H Tel Co. installed that cable, I still hadn't upgraded the cables I was using to connect my laptop to the network, so I still was only connecting at the same speed as before. Then I bought new cables because I needed longer ones and more of them. When I plugged those things in, and used my connection for the first time at full speed, I couldn't believe it. The page I was about view, Google, popped up on my screen before I clicked the mouse button and literally said out loud "Did you want me? Or can I load your Facebook page?" It was that fast! Okay, so it didn't speak, but wow! It was so fast I am still in awe. I'm a student so this will make a ton of difference. And I work remotely. Now I can send my work faster. I will make back the cost of the installation in a few months just by sending in more work and getting paid more to it in less time. Upgrade your network cable people!

I needed help to determine why I could not play CD?s on a DVD recorder I had. I had recently replaced my receiver and got rid of an old combination VCR/DVD player. The new receiver was HD as was my TV. The person who installed the receiver could not get the DVD recorder to work. He said he thought the recorder was defective. But before I purchased another recorder, I wanted to make sure what the problem was. I contacted CH-Tel and explained my problem. Charlie asked a number of questions to make sure he could send out the right technician to help me. He called me back and we set a date. The technician (Ivaylo) showed up within the time frame cited, and after a number of checks, determined that the problem was a defective port on the receiver. After connecting the DVD player to another port, we got the CD?s to play. I did call back the person who installed the receiver, and he is to get a new receiver. I would highly recommend CH-Tel to help with technical problems you may have with your entertainment systems. My experience has been that it is difficult to get help with these types of problems. I called one firm twice, was told another person would call, but never got a call. Other firms never responded to emails or phone calls. If the work involves a big monetary investment, there seems to be no problem getting a response; otherwise it has been hard to find help.

The owner responded promptly and courteously to my first phone call. He gave me a fair estimate of the cost and provided me a number where he could be reached after working hours with any questions. The work was scheduled immediately and the team showed up as promised (after calling me enroute because of a massive traffic delay that couldn't be avoided). The workers examined all the options for re-routing the cable and started to work promptly. Work was completed in slightly over two hours. Where access holes were cut in drywall to fish the cable, they were neatly repaired. I would certainly contact them again for an TV-related installation work.

Very satisfied with all work performed. They were neat, didn't make unnecessary holes in the wall, etc. This is an older home with lots of current and old wiring. They were able to figure which wires were still active and rewired to receive best internet signal. They tested internet connectivity, each tv and phone in the house to make sure they were all working before they left. It has been a few weeks and the internet is much faster and tvs have better pictures.

My 86 year old parents are aging in place in their home -- I live 2,700 miles away so frequently must arrange services for them from afar. Troubleshooting such matters is difficult at best. Having spent countless hours and dollars with our telephone service provider without any lasting results (not to mention the hours invested on hold), I was thrilled to find CH Tel. My call was met with absolute professionalism and something truly lacking in today's world -- a sense of true customer service. Kathy took the details of my request and immediately passed me along to her brother Charlie who at once established that a verbal handshake was as good as his word and it was clear he prides himself on providing professional work in a friendly and fair manner. He took time to listen to my needs and actually showed up to perform the work two days earlier than I expected. He was polite and courteous to my mom and dad and instilled confidence immediately. He took time to interact with my dad to help him understand why he was there and what he was doing and what repairs he made. My dad was very impressed with his work and agreed that Charlie provided the very best "old time" customer service that rarely seems to exist these days. I would not hesitate to ask him to return, but I have a feeling he has done such a good job, we may not need to call him again! I strongly recommend CH-Tel and was lucky to find them as inside wiring telephone technicians are very hard to find these days.

They did an excellent job, scheduled me quickly in order to get the job done before the Verizon guy showed up. Did an excellent job running all the cables. The price came in on the quote after I asked them to wire another room. They only needed to make one small hole in the wall, which they patched, in order to run all the cable. The verizon guy who came to wire the cable was impressed with their work and actually asked for their card so he could recommend them when asked. C H Tel had left drag lines for him which made his job easy and all the cabling works perfectly.

We are an elementary school with a very old phone system. Our phones were not working properly, which is a huge problem for a school. I found C H Tel on a Google search and called them. They told me they were on Angie's List. They were courteous on the phone and when they heard the request was from a school, they tried to find the earliest possible appointment. The two technicians who came to the school were courteous, punctual, professional, and obviously knew exactly what they were doing. They fixed all of our problems, and the phones have never worked better. They followed up with a lovely thank you note for doing business with them. I would recommend this company to anyone.

left the wires exposed outside the house. Over time (about 6 months) the lines corroded and corrupted the household wiring. Rick fixed the problem; checked all in-house connections and made sure everything was working properly. Great service at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend CH Tel for any telephone or cabling issues.

Our phone had been out-of-order for several days. I talked to Verizon and did the recommended troubleshooting, but could not determine what the problem was, only that it was inside our house. I called CH-TEL, and amazingly they were able to send someone out that very afternoon. The fellow who came, Mike, was both professional and thorough. He removed some unneeded old equipment, replace some bad wiring, rewired our alarm system (which I'd cut out when attempting to locate the trouble), and got everything working again. He also gave me some helpful tips on dealing with future problems, and discovered that one of our (little used) phone jacks had been disconnected, apparently when we had some remodeling done! The price was more than fair for the time spent, and included and "Angie's List" discount. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again, either for problems or installations.

I hired C H Tel. to fish a TV cable through the wall from an upper level room to the basement where the cable/internet box was located. They did an amazing job. Mike was the technician who did the job. He was very professional and did the job quickly and accurately. It looked great after he finished. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Charlie scheduled about a week ahead of time and Mike and Milo arrived exactly as scheduled to install the outlet in a new location. They were very neat and the outlet is just right.

I had just moved in and had bought a new TV, only to find out the cable in the room was not activated (other rooms were). It was impossible to reach Verizon to have them activate it, and after being transferred to 4 or 5 different departments, and 45 minutes later, I gave up and went right to Angie's List!. C H Tel. Co., Inc. showed up when I did a search and seeing the excellent reviews, I called them right away. Kathy couldn't be more professional and helpful! She knew exactly what I needed and scheduled Rick to come out. Rick arrived exactly on time, was also professional, and in less than an hour - probably less than 30 minutes, he had me up and running. I was so grateful - I can't live without my TV! If I ever need their services again, I will definitely be calling them. Totally a delightful experience!

I had static on both of my land-line phone lines for 6 months (on and off). The phone company was useless. The problem has been fixed and the phones are now both as clear as a bell. This company is great. The technician was highly knowledgeable and very professional. I would highly recommend this company if you have having trouble and you find yourself at the mercy of people who do not know what they are doing. I am SO happy now that my phones are working again.
