Description of Work: Called to request a home inspection as result of Hurrican Sandy damage to roof, siding and deck. Explained situation and solicited advice on extent of repairs. Discussion with inspector ( about 15 minutes) on the phone was significant in our decisions of what to focus on and where to apply dollars. The inspector provided this advice gratus. We will have them do our home pre-sale inspection when the time comes. Very personable, informed and professional.

Description of Work: Danny inspected my home for me so that I could make an informed decision regarding future upkeep costs, needed repairs and general condition. The information and advise I received was priceless! Having taken charge of the management of my home after the loss of my husband, I found I had quite a bit to learn. Danny walked through every level of my home noting its condition, changes needed as well as assessment of work done previously by other contractors. He took several hours to thoroughly check EVERYTHING from basement to attic to rooftop. When his inspection was complete he gave me the report the same day. and before he left. i asked him a million questions which he answered happily. Danny is one of those people we WISH would show up when we need work done. He clearly has an excellent work ethic, knowledge to spare and a true love for his work. I recommend him highly to anyone who wants complete working knowledge of their home. I am EKATED to have found him and will use him again if needed, in the future.

Description of Work: After reviewing Angie's List I have sent a message via Angie's List. Even though he was not available on my requested day, he was courteous enough to call back. He also explained that he was not licensed in VA for Radon test, but he will refer another agency for that service if I were to retain his service.

Description of Work: Danny performed a home inspection on a condo which I am purchasing in DC. He was fantastic. He arrived on time, and spent about 2 1/2 hours inspecting the place with me tagging along. He was very patient with all my questions, and explained all issues in great detail. I would definitely use him again

Description of Work: Mark Jenkins came over to do the appraisal. He came right on the promised time. He went through the three level town house and did a three and half houe inspection, telling me in detail about what he was looking for and what is not good to have. He was very explicit and elucidative, so even an unexperienced person could make sense as to what he was saying. The house fortunately was is good shape, but he could not inspect the electrical junction box due to inaccessibility. He even promised that he will come back and do the inspection if requested. He also performed a radon test. Very professional but extremely approachable. Great experience working with him.

Description of Work: Danny Patkus inspected a 1970s split level home that we were negotiating to buy. He spent about 3 and a half hours on the house exterior and interior, checking systems. I walked with him during the inspection, and he took time to explain any problems that he found. Danny also gave me some good tips about what to fix first and how to avoid future problems. He provided a complete written report to me and to my Realtor at the end of the inspection and we are using that to negotiate with the sellers.

He was flexible about when to schedule the appointment at our convenience, arrived early, and he spent more time than he had budgeted for no additional cost. He was good at explaining to us what problems he found and how to go about fixing them, and he prepared a thorough report as he went along.
