It was a great experience to have them do our floors. Project started and finished on time. Cost was very reasonable. The floors are beautiful. Super nice people also.

We called several service providers to provide estimates for refinishing the floors in our new home. I spoke with Lisa on the phone to set up the appointment, as well as several other times throughout the process. She was always very warm and friendly, and made me feel like I knew her even though we never met in person. Jim came out to do the estimate the day after we got the keys. He really took the time to look all over the house, and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. He even helped us take up the carpet in the corner of a room that we did not think had hardwood to verify that it did not. He gave us separate estimates for refinishing the old wood and installing the new wood. We received the written estimate within 2 days. His estimate was significantly lower than other providers we contacted. He worked around our move-in and renovation schedule so that we could work on the house as much as possible, while still allowing time for the floors to dry before we moved in. He was present at all times while the work was ongoing, and had the assistance of one other person. He consulted us on how we wanted the edges of the room to look (whether or not to frame the fireplace, or whether to taper the wood at our sliding glass door). Lisa contacted us after the floors were dry to make sure we were happy with the end result. We have been living in the house for five months now, and every day we admire our beautiful floors. The new floor in our family room perfectly matches the old flooring. We would not have been able to afford to do that room with the other providers who gave us estimates. We are very pleased with the final results.

We originally contacted Heritage Wood Floors a decade ago to replace carpet on our first floor with hardwood. The workmanship was excellent. We referred him to family members. When we purchased a new home and wanted hardwood installed, we called Heritage. We couldn't be more pleased. We came home to a gorgeous floor. They paid great attention to detail and were as picky as we would be about each board they put down. The house was spotless, you wouldn't have known they were there except for the new, beautiful floors. The quality of work is excellent.

They did a phenomenal job. I had another company that originally refinished the floor and they demolished it by doing such a terrible job. I had to call the Maryland Bureau to get my deposit back from them. When I had looked for the bids I had contacted Heritage Wood Floors Incorporated but their bid was at the top and it was the most expensive. So, I knocked them out of consideration. When the service provider that I used, who were in the middle of the pack destroyed my floor twice, I decided to go with Heritage Wood Floors Incorporated. There was one area where I had to replace the wood again to repair the damage that the previous service provider had done. They repaired the things that were not even explicitly stated on the contract. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again. In fact, I am considering putting some wood down on some of the other levels and if I did then they would be the one that I would go with. I got what I paid for. They were coming from the Eastern shore and so, I understood their price being a little higher. I would expect their price to be a little higher because they had at least an hour's drive time and they had to spend on gas, all of which would have been factored into the price.

The team at Heritage Wood Floors was very professional and very courteous, going so far as to make sure all the doors in other parts of my house were closed to minimize the dust from the sanding. They made sure the heat was turned off while the doors were open, and they turned off the lights before they left. The real test was in the work they did. I'm thrilled with my floors. Shortly after they arrived, they sanded down a portion of the floor and applied different stain colors so I could see which one I wanted. After I made my selection, they sanded down the entire floor, applied the stain, and over the next 3 days applied 3 coats of polyurethane. The floor looks beautiful, and if I ever needed to refinish other hardwood floors, Heritage Wood Floors would be my first choice.

Jim and the whole team at Heritage went above and beyond in terms of providing personalized, friendly, helpful, high-quality service and left the floors in our home looking gorgeous. We have already recommended them unreservedly to friends and co-workers and plan to call them if/when we need more floor work done. We were looking for someone to take care of the floors before moving in to our newly purchased home. We called them and a few other flooring businesses in the morning. Jim came over the same day, measured, and we had an estimate first thing the next morning. He came in well under other estimates. He and his team were incredibly flexible. We worried about getting the floors done after our contractor's paint work was dry but before cleaners and movers had to get in. Jim adjusted to fit our schedule and worked a Saturday in order to get us what we wanted. Jim took evident pride in the actual work, and our floors are beautiful. They left everything in super shape. Throughout the process, Jim and his team were incredibly available, reachable by phone or email, and always knowledgeable, cheerful, and helpful. It made things like last-minute schedule adjustments a snap. Lisa and Jim answered all of our questions about care and upkeep. We were delighted from start to finish (no pun intended) and were floored (pun intended) about the results.
