Like many repair services in the area, they must be too busy or too unconcerned to return phone calls to people trying to hire them.

In the 3-4 days between the original service call and the phone call with the quote to actually fix the problem, I investigated the problem myself because I felt that something wasn't quite right. I spent about 2 hours, pulled the dishwasher completely out of the cabinet and ran the dishwasher through a complete cycle. I found that the problem was not the drain hose leaking, but the clamp holding the drain hose was not tight enough. I could have simply tightened the hose clamp, but chose to replace it with a different type of clamp since I didn't like the way the clamp was designed and it appeared to be "out of round." I installed the new hose clamp - a 39 cent part available at any hardware store - and ran the dishwasher. No leak. Also, I looked up the cost for a new drain hose for that model dishwasher. That part is available for $17.50 on the internet. When CG service called with the quote to fix the problem, I asked to talk to the owner (who was also the repairman that misdiagnosed the problem). I explained what I did and how that fixed the problem and suggested that if they truly have "old fashioned ethics" as they advertise, that he would refund the fee for the service call since he misdiagnosed the problem. First, he said that he didn't "...have the authority to make a refund." The guy owns the business and claims he doesn't have the authority to make a refund? Then he insisted that there was a hole in the drain hose despite my testing and observation with my own eyes that there was not. Anyway, I would recommend that you DO NOT use this company for the following reasons: (1) Upselling - They were apparently trying to get me to pay for a second service call for an additional labor charge and for a part that they were charging twice the price as available at retail on the internet. (2) Lying - The owner's claim that he didn't "...have the authority to make a refund" could not be anything but an outright lie. If he would lie about that, you cannot trust any ethical or other claims that he might make.
Description of Work: Through the web site HomeAdvisor, I hired CG Service to fix a leak in my Bosch dishwasher. Repairman showed up within the scheduled time frame. He spent about a half hour removing panels and looking around under the dishwasher. He did not run the dishwasher through a complete cycle. He diagnosed a hole in the drain hose and said he would have to order the part and come back again to install it. I was charged $99.99 for the service call. About 3-4 days later, I received a call from CG saying that the service to replace the hose would cost $131.37 - $100 for labor and $31.37 for the hose.
