Nick and the team at The Piano Man did an amazing job restoring and rebuilding our family heirloom piano. The team took their time, and I'm so glad they did. The Piano Man did a full reconstruction of the action, full restring, deep clean, and a complete restoration of the case and detail work. The piano looks incredible, and sounds even better. We could not be happier with how the piano came out, it's clear The Piano Man team are true professionals, craftsmen, and genuinely have a passion for their work.

Splendid. Both Nick's (the manager and the tuner) were responsive and highly responsible. Tuner Nick was considerate and efficient. I will be using this serve for my regular tuning.

The piano man has a 3rd party that moves your piano. The thrid party was great but the piano man kept trying to sell me a piano which was really annoying. If I need to move the piano again, I'd go straight to the movers.

Better than I could have hoped for. I not only left with the matching piano bench, I was also able to get a recommendation for a piano tuner. Nick knows pianos!!
Description of Work: I was searching for a piano bench to match a piano that we inherited. I showed Nick a picture of the piano and he was able to locate the matching bench in his warehouse. The EXACT bench - incredible. The piano is 50 years old!

Professional, on-time, great price. My only criticism was that piano had a few marks on it - the person who delivered it said he would come back and fix them but I never heard from him again. If this were a super expensive piano I might be more upset, but it worked for us and I would still use them again despite this.

I called the provider to ask if an old Hallet and Davis grand piano that was being donated to us was worth the moving expense. He was extremely honest and informative. I told him it had a poor tone, and he explained what it would likely take to improve the sound (new hammers and more) and that he felt for our purposes, it wouldn't be worth it to take. His honesty meant we decided not to take the paino and that he won't get our business for either moving the piano or repairing it, but if we do decide to buy a piano in the future, we will certainly go to Piano Man.

the movers were most professional and worked promptly in moving the piano up from my basement multiple steps of my home and out into their truck . also, the charity's receipt was processed and sent to me as promised.
Description of Work: they arranged to have my old but very fine playable piano, picked up from my home and delivered to a notable charitable institution and sending me weeks later their receipt which qualified for me a $500 charitable tax deduction. the moving charge was reasonable, and even less expensive than those of competitors which didn't deliver to any bona fide charity.

Communication with the provider was excellent - responded quickly and professionally to my emails and questions. I was given a window of time for the movers to show up. The bad weather that day caused them to miss the window of time, but I was notified of the change. Everything went smoothly to my satisfaction.

I've had this done before. He came to my house to pick up my baby grand piano that was in basement and he took it upstairs and put it in his truck. He took it to another location for me. He also took my baby grand piano that was on my first floor to the basement. They were very timely, respectful, and knowledgeable. They were very professional and knew a lot about pianos themselves, not just moving them. They were also extremely respectful and careful. Best piano movers I've ever had! I can't say enough! I highly recommend the Piano Man, I will never use anyone else!

I submitted request for a quote via Angie's List and had a reply in less than 12 hours. The quote was based on a flat fee plus a fee per stair they'd have to traverse. We scheduled the move for later that week. The movers doing the job communicated with me directly by phone and text to schedule a precise time. They were professional and courteous throughout.

Superb service! Spoke with Nick who was extremely courteous and professional. A couple days later, two friendly gentlemen carefully removed a very heavy piano from our home and brought it to a nearby thrift store for resale. They even received a donation receipt for us! Highly recommend the Piano Man to others!

Initially they responded quickly w price, which was competitive. They wanted to do job right away but we were not ready. We had to shuffle some furniture to make room for piano & told them we would call back to schedule move. When we called to schedule, we left phone messages and sent emails and got no response. It was about a month after our initial inquiry. So we had to find someone else for the job.

After talking to the movers, my understanding of how this business works is that the Piano Man contracts out the work to various movers who can handle the job. How your job is carried out depends a lot on the contractor. Mine was fine (Apollo Movers from York, PA). I called on a Tuesday hoping that I could get a piano moved on Friday. I got a call back within the hour to schedule a pickup and delivery. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday, but the weather and traffic was terrible, and it was delayed until Monday. Quite understandable since the traffic is always bad on 95 North on Friday afternoon even in good weather. The price turned out to be a little less than expected from the formula and $60 less than another quote that I had received. Recommended.

I called, gave him name of piano and dimensions. He gave me an approximate range of price. It was a steep climb out of my back walkout door , up a hill, and to the truck in the driveway. Three strong young men arrived, and lifted it over the door track and rolled it up the hill on a type of trolley with big rubber wheels. No lawn or floor damage. I was happy. They also made the date and came when they were supposed to. I'd use again. The price was within the range he had quoted.

Called and made arrangements to have piano moved from VA to MD. The receptionist was very polite. She was able to give me a details on the pricing, i.e., going up or down steps cost "x" amount of dollors. There was a price for each step, each turn around, etc. There was no surprise on either side when the move was completed and the bill was presented. I would use this company again as they were professional, efficient, and fair.

I have a Baby Grand Piano and needed to have it moved. I called them and 2 weeks before the move-in date and we set the appointment for 12noon on that date. I was prepared and ready for him at 12 noon and he shows up at 430pm with absolutely no tools and his son to assist who was wearing flip flops. Zero professionalism immediately for me. Especially showing up 4 1/2 hours late. Thank goodness for my friends who were there because they almost crushed my piano and without my friends' help my piano would have not been moved without damage. He brought a trolley and that's it, nothing else. I paid him $150.00 for him to do 20% of the job. After this catastrophe he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted them to schedule my piano tuning. I would never use them again nor would I refer anyone to him.
