Description of Work: He is very nice. He came in, I gave him a list of things to do. Most was odds and ends. Fix a lock, fix drywall, and hang stuff in the basement. He needed help each time. He asked me to help him, which defeats the purpose. The door was good, but everything else was half done and other things I asked him to fix, he said he would get back to me. He didn’t and I figured they were things he couldn't handle. Especially since he couldn't get the items fixed to begin with. I need to find another handyman.

 + -1 moreI think the quality of the work was good. but the timeliness of the work was less than satisfactory. There were some dates that were promised and they missed the appointments. They had a lot of excuses for missing appointed dates to do work. I think they really had to work hard to get the job done right. The project was maybe a larger scale project than what they would normally do. They maybe did not have the necessary skills to do the job right. They did get the job done, but it just took them too long.
Description of Work: They replaced a door and repaired some damage to the structure underneath the door. They also repaired some glass in a window and some other minor jobs. The door was a French door leading out to a deck.

 + 1 moreIt went very well. They were a big help. They were very nice and did what they said they would do. The work was done very well. Based on my previous experience, I was hesitant about them starting a job and leaving it, I was very happy this didn't happen. They always called to let me know when they would available. They gave me a price up front and stuck to it.
Description of Work: They remodeled a walk in closet. They repaired the ceiling.

 + 0 moreI called and two pleasant men came out the next day. They looked at the problems and went to the store to buy the appropriate screws, returned in about half an hour and fixed everything. The work was all done within an hour, including the trip to the store, so I paid their minimum charge plus $5 for the screws.
Description of Work: Fixed two doors, one with nails attaching a hinge that were coming out of the door and the other with a loose hinge. They also reattached the lock on my screen door.

 + -1 moreThey put up the new sections first and all went well. They attempted to shore up pre-existing sections and discovered that another handyman who had set the original sections used very little concrete. Proper installation would require re-setting these sections in concrete, as opposed to shoring. We agreed on a reasonable price for the extra work. I feel JR Handyman handled the situation fairly.
Description of Work: Shore up (eventually re-set) several sections of vinyl privacy fencing and install several new sections.

He was very flexible with our indecision regarding style of moulding and picked up the moulding for us on the day of installation. All work was completed professionally, quickly (about 4.5 hours) and in accordance with the cost estimate. I've used Mark before to ready a former house for sale (fixing wall damage, misaligned door, trim work, etc.) and was similarly impressed and satisfied with his quick turnaround, price and quality of work.
Description of Work: Mark installed crown moulding throughout our living room, dining room, kitchen, and foyer/stairwell. Service included putty/sealing of seams and gaps.
