When we initially looked at getting solar panels we decided to research multiple companies. Over several weeks we looked into about 8 different companies ranging from smaller local companies to large national companies. We met with 5 of these companies and Celestial Solar was the final meeting. From our first meeting, it became very clear that Jim was the best fit for our needs. He was able to answer all of our questions and clearly explain the process and timeline. A key selling point was his explanation of the equipment he would be using as well as why he felt that it was the best. We had already done extensive research into the solar array business but we were still able to learn something new by talking to Jim. Jim also being local and very familiar with the permitting and inspection process was another reason we decided to move forward with him. We had multiple questions throughout the process and Jim took the time to provide thorough explanations. The entire process from the initial meeting to receiving Permission to Operate took just over 3 months. Throughout the whole process, we were constantly in communication with Jim receiving updates on the status of the job. The paperwork process was painless and relatively simple. The installation crew was able to complete the installation in 2 days. There were a few minor issues that popped up in the process but Jim was always available to remedy the situation. Once the job was completed Becky was able to assist us in providing paperwork for tax filings, MEA grant, warranty, and rebates along with providing information to set up our monitoring app and SREC account. Overall we were very pleased with Celestial Solutions and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in investing in a solar array.

This is actually the first review I have ever posted for a company and am doing so because of how impressed I was with Jim and his Celestial team throughout the whole process of going solar. Before I committed to going solar, I did a lot of research before I even talked with and requested quotes from 4 separate companies (2 national and 2 local). Jim was by far the most upfront and honest and his recommendations and suggestions were consistent with the research I had previously done on the current technology, pricing, estimated production, etc. He ended up working multiple designs for me to maximize my production while not wasting money and panels on roof locations that would not generate efficiently. His costs were substantially lower and the panel and microinverter selections were state of the art compared to the proposals the other companies were trying to convince me to go with. I am so happy I have gone solar and that I went with Jim and Celestial.

Celestial has been extremely diligent in their work and helpful with all my questions. Celestial Solar did a great job with my solar installation. Jim was helpful in my free consultation, answering all my questions and providing a couple great options for my array configuration. The installation team was fast and friendly. They knew I was scared that my dogs might get loose when they were coming and going, and they took great care to knock when entering and having me hold the dogs when leaving. The array has been running for a couple months now and is already making a huge difference in my electric bill. The team at Celestial has been so great with their follow-ups, between getting me set up to monitor production to setting me up to trade solar credits and everything else I've needed. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and professional - you can't go wrong with Celestial.

When I started researching which solar company to use, I had 4 companies provide bids. 3 of those companies were big chains that were quoting me for systems significantly too big, didn't understand local ordinances, and promising me things they could just not deliver. Celestial Solar, however, came in and explained everything to me very clearly right from the start. They were not the least expensive, but they provided me the best financing options, sent me ALL of the details on their products before our first meeting, provided a dozen customer testimonials (which none of the others did), and went above and beyond communicating to me throughout the entire process. It was a no -brainer when it came for who to choose and I 100% recommend them for your solar install.

Celestial Solar did an excellent job installing solar panels on our house in August 2023. We did a lot of research into various companies and Celestial Solar was an easy selection. Jim Reilly was great to work with. He explained everything (cost, process, benefits), answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly, which made the decision very easy. Jim and Celestial Solar were responsive, professional, and did great work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Their quote was accurate and no-nonsense. Timelines were accurate. Months after the install, they resolved a warranty repair on my solar combiner and were just as responsive. One of the best companies I've ever hired to do work on my home.

I did a lot of research, received several quotes and Celestial provided the best price. Jim Reilly was always quick to respond to my questions and helped with all the paperwork to get me all the rebates that I was qualified to receive. The installation only took one day and the installers were very professional and also quite personable. We got multiple quotes and Celestial were the most knowledgeable and best price with an amazingly custom built system! I had a few companies ignore me and only talk to my husband - which was super condescending seeing as I'm the one who wanted to go solar and knew the ins and outs of everything. Jim had a great quote package showing that he knows exactly what the customer needs to see. He was also always a phone call or email away - usually answering you within 24 hours. The install was quick and although there are a lot of components to going solar, he walks you through all of them. I love our system and my electric bill this month was 6$ - since I have an electric car, I was ecstatic!

We had a terrific experience putting solar on our house with Celestial Solar Innovations, based in Frederick, MD. From the start, the process was clear, open and supportive of our needs. The company did first rate work in installing 35 panels on our home where we wanted them and where they knew they'd work best. They cared for the aesthetic as well as the production in the design. They recommended a roofing company as we needed to upgrade. Their communications about the process, cost and timing were excellent and frequent. When we wanted to paint the conduit the color of our roof, they even delivered it in advance of our panel installation so we could get that done. We would highly recommend Celestial Solar Innovations--and going solar!

After talking with a number of solar panel installers, we decided to go with Celestial Solar Innovations, a local Frederick County family owned company. We are extremely happy with our choice. Jim Reilly, the owner, is knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. He was very communicative about what was involved and carefully guided us through the whole process including getting the solar rebate. His crew was efficient and professional. The project was completed in September. Since then our solar gain has covered our electrical needs plus additional gain adding credit to our bill.

We recently completed a major remodel of our 1950's home with the last step being the design and installation of a solar panel array. We contacted several providers and, based in part on the recommendation of a neighbor, decided to work with Jim Reilly and Celestial. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Jim discussed our objectives with us and developed a preliminary design. We have a multi-story roof and had specific ideas on where to place panels for aesthetics. Jim and his engineering team worked with us to maximize our production while staying true to our design objectives. Installation was completed right on schedule and the system has been in production for several months. Our generation has met or exceeded the design specs to date. Jim also helped us to apply for the MD state Clean Energy Rebate, which has already been approved. He also provided the necessary information for setting up our SREC trading account and we have already received our first reimbursement. Our entire experience with Jim and Celestial Solar Innovations has been wonderful and I highly recommend you consider them if you are contemplating the addition of solar to your home or business.

I highly recommend Celestial Solar Innovations. I first learned about them on "Nextdoor". Jim Reilly, the owner, is a really nice guy who is easy to work with. My system has been running flawlessly since being installed 2 months ago. The only problem I'm having is with the utility company, who doesn't appear to be recording my usage data since installing the net meter. However, the app for my panels shows electricity production and net import/export power to the grid. At least I have a way to monitor it, while the utility company get's its act together.

I met with 4 solar companies for pricing. Celestial Solar won my business hands down. I knew from the minute I met Jim that he was the one. As a senior citizen, I felt very comfortable with him. It is clear he knows the solar business. Others I met with were quite scary and clearly had no idea how to set up solar on my property. I found Jim to be very honest. In fact, we talked about additional panels but after the site visit Jim didn’t think the return on investment for the additional panels was worth the added cost. The installation crew was awesome. Extremely respectful of both my property and me and they greeted me with smiles and encouraged questions each time I came out of the house to check on them. They were very well organized, great teamwork and knew their stuff. It’s been about a month since go-live and everything is working according to plan. I love that they do the paperwork, and the app which is part of the deal, is easy to use and tells you a lot about how your system is working. Great, great experience and I have nothing but awesome things to say about Celestial Solar. Jim is honest and all about customer service. I know I picked the right guy!

Excellent in all regards, for initial discussions, through design, installation, activation and post-activation processes. Everything went smoothly, as discussed and planned. The system exceeds our expectations.

We had Celestial Solar install a 10KwH system for our roof last September. We spoke with a few different installers at the start of the process, and really appreciated how thorough Jim and his team were in explaining the installation and walking through the options. There was never any pressure to buy or to upgrade unnecessarily, which we really appreciated. At the time of the install, the team showed up when they said the would and completed the work in the time allotted. Nearly nine months later, we couldn't be happier with the quality of the work or the results.

Jim and his team were extremely easy to work with; the process unfolded exactly as he described. We considered several different options before working with Jim. Alternative installers clearly cut costs through subcontracting labor to the lowest bidder, buying lower quality panels at scale, and using older technology. No other company had the transparency and level of customer service Jim provided.

Great. We are VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS. Working with Jim and his entire Celestial Solar team was an incredibly positive experience. We can be really challenging customers to work with - endless calls and emails, requests for multiple quotes in different configurations, technical questions about how things work and why one technology is better than another - but Jim was unbelievably patient and accommodating, answering all of our questions, guiding us step by step through the entire process. In several cases, Jim offered suggestions that saved us money and improved our system. His team of installers were consummate professionals who did an impeccable job on our installation. And after the sale, after the installation was essentially complete, Jim still continued to be incredibly helpful and patient. He diligently followed up to make sure that we were getting all of the various credits, grants, and incentives that we were available to us, making certain that we got the best overall value from our system.

I met with 4 different companies before deciding on Celestial Solar Innovations. All the others were hard core salespeople that only cared about getting me to sign and take their financing options. My property is large. 4 acres and electric is our only utility so the bills are quite high. Jim from Celestial took a lot of time to design the perfect system for my needs and he also explained the pro’s and con’s of the finance companies those other guys use. Jim, as the owner of the company, once I signed the paperwork is when he really went to work for me. They handled all the permits with the county which included working around my septic system and the structural integrity of my roof. All the paperwork from A-Z with Pepco was done perfectly. We needed a 410 foot trench dug from our barn back to the main house electric box and they used top notch guys that put everything back like it was before they started trenching. The original design was a little too large for Pepco to handle so Jim quickly retooled his original design to bring the number of panels down but figured out how to still keep me around 95+% of my electric needs per month. I am super pleased with these guys and I would recommend them to anyone looking for solar. If you have anything beyond a simple cookie cutter design, you need to call Celestial (I am sure they can do the cookie cutter too). Once again, the guys on Jim’s team which included electrician’s, installers, landscapers and more were all top-notch professionals!

I did a fair amount of research on PV installers in the area and went through a handful of quotes before finding Celestial Solar, and I'm glad I did. Jim provided an extremely honest sales pitch - he understands current PV and battery technology (and its limits), local laws/regulations and construction. Jim also provided the most competitive bid and warranty out of all the companies I quoted. From quote to install to "going live", the whole process was extremely smooth. Thank you Celestial Solar!

This was a great experience from initial research through installation and follow-ups to ensure our overall happiness with the system. Jim provided a nice walkthrough of the systems, how they operate, how the rebates and financing work and was responsive to our questions. Terrific job. Jim and his team provided us with expert advice to meet our needs for moving to solar energy. He is really knowledgeable about all the programs in Maryland that support transitioning to solar and net metering. All we had to do was provide the roof. I highly recommend Celestial Solar.
