Description of Work: My son, who is a senior at college, took his hard earned summer money to Caton Radio, 6328 Baltimore National Pike, Baltimore, MD(Phone#410-747-8667) to get a radio installed in his truck. After spending 4 hours waiting for the installation to take place, the owner/mechanic told my son they had the wrong dash kit. They tore apart my son's dash, trying to install the wrong radio. The owner then blamed my son for not giving them the correct radio kit. The radio kit was purchased from his shop but he blamed my son. After being there for 4 hours and nothing was done, my son told the owner that he needed to leave to pick up my daughter from practice. The owner then told my son, he would have to pay $75.00 for labor charges even though NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. My son was so disappointed and so was I as a parent. Why charge a fee, if you were not able to provide the service. I contacted the owner of CATON RADIO to inquire about the $75.00 fee for labor when my son did not get his radio installed. The owner stated very rudely, I don't work for Free, it's not my fault he didn't get the radio installation and hung up the phone in my ears. The owner refused to listen to me, refused to answer my questions and refused to refund my son the $75.00. I am sharing this review with you because I feel shops like CATON RADIO do a disservice to other reputable businesses. I am sharing this story with the Better Business Bureau, Mechancial Review sites and other sites so that you don't encounter the same heartache my college son endured. If you know of any other sites that I should share this story, please let me know.

Description of Work: TINTING OF ALL WINDOWS ON 2004 HONDA CRV.

Description of Work: Had remote start unit installed on my car on 2/07/2009. Returned three days later after reading instruction booklet to ask a few questions. Was allowed to talk directly to the technician--all good. When unit was still not operating 100%, returned following week after deciding one of the two remotes was defective. Office Manager (who is really Owner, but never identified herself as such) told me remote would be replaced under warranty. Asked for remote from instock unit, but was told everything is "factory sealed" and couldn't be done. Would take 3-4 weeks. Called manufacturer who agreed w/me would be easiest to take remote from another kit--also their products are NOT sealed in ANY way. Left messages asking owner to return my calls; gave two numbers both with voice mail. Haven't heard from Caton Radio yet (3/14/2009) and still haven't received new remote.
