Inner City Mover

My husband and I hired this team to move us from Hyattsville to SW, Washington DC. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their work ethic, professionalism, team communication, project management, and problem-solving approach were all outstanding. These gentleman understand they're in your home, moving your life possessions, at a moment of transition. They respect you, your home, and your things. Fast, accurate, and friendly. Complex disassembly and assembly was required. No problem there, either! Can't recommend highly enough.

I arrived early so I can be there when the movers showed up. Three young men showed up with no supervisor but advised me that they would need the flat rate of $395 paid upfront the same day of service which I agreed to. When starting the work I asked them to disassemble a bed carefully since its an antique but it ended up getting broken by one of the movers. During this entire time they kept reiterating that they have a 5-star rating on Angie's List. They also mentioned they were not going to move the bed unless I waived the insurance for the bed which I reluctantly agreed to do. They still put part of the load in the truck that needed to be moved and they also called their supervisor which then they cancelled the move, put everything else back in the townhouse, and abandoned me there with a broken bed.?They said this wasn't going to work out. Now I have no movers and a broken bed. I have to now find movers tonight to assist with the move but I ultimately want to see if the company can give me some type of reimbursement for the broken bed since its an antique?or reimbursement for the repair if it can be done. It might not hold my daughter's weight anymore. UPDATE: I did contact the provider to try to work it out with them. They would not budge. I was told that the movers felt uncomfortable and its the company's policy if the workers feel uncomfortable they can stop doing the job. I was also told that the workers are claiming that they didn't break the bed either.

These guys worked some **** ** my local MD move on 5/28/17. They were quick, safe, and careful with our items. The Manager quoted me a flat rate price that was a good value for the work provided. We had a moderately difficult move from a 3rd-floor apartment to a townhome. It rained during part of the move.The didn't drop or scuff any of our items and worked around the rooms that were not ready for moving.

The move went very well. Everything was done within a reasonable time. The workers were very respectful and careful. I will deffinately reccomened Inner City Movers to my friends.
