 + -1 moreUnlike a previous reviewer, I had a positive experience. Perhaps this was because it was a referral but in any case. We arranged an appointment and he arrived promptly. Within less than an hour, the A/C was fixed. He advised me that the unit was old (which I knew from the inspection) and that it should be replaced, not repaired further. A year later when it inevitably broke again, I contacted Freedom directly. He recalled the unit (not that many 20+ year-old condensers out there!) and said he'd repair. The cost was not much higher than going through the warranty company. He advised again that the unit should be replaced and provided information on new equipment.
Description of Work: I was referred to Freedom Aire by my home warranty company. He repaired an A/C unit (electric heat pump).

 + -1 more, Awful, awful, awful. If you are unfortunate enough to have this guy come out to you don't open your door. He is lazy, unproffesional, and unprepared. He didn't fix the problem. It actually got hotter in my house. He was suppose to fix the A/C not make it hotter. When called out again to come back and fix the problem he told me that he couldn't come for about a week since I wasn't really in his calling area. Really? Didn't tell me that when my insurance company gave you the job! So I have called my insurance company and recommended that they strike this company off their contact list as I'm sure I can't be the only one who has had the bad luck to have this guy show up at their house. I gave an F overall for this company (guy) but honestly, it would have been lower if I had the choice!
Description of Work: Had to call the number our home owners insurance gave us because they didn't bother to call us. The man who answered the phone was very unproffesional. He didn't answer with the company name or his name so I was unsure that I had the right number. I was told he had booked us in for service already, yet he never called us to tell us what day he was planning on coming to our house. If I hadn't called him he would have been out of luck because no one would have been home. Instead we were out of luck. He showed up two minutes after the dead line, okay I could deal with that, but then again acted like he would rather be sleeping on his couch. He looked at my A/C unit outside of the house and declared that it was good. He then proceeds to tell me that "somone" would have to go up into the attic and look at the unit. I looked around since it was only he and I standing there. I asked if HE was going to go up into the attic and he said reluctently, well "I guess I will go up there". (Seriously?) He climbed up into the attic after I had to provide him with a ladder and then needed a flash light because he couldn't find the light switch. Aren't those some of the tools he should have?
