Description of Work: AJ did not do the work. It is still not done. Another contractor had started my home improvement project and walked away without finishing it because it took so long (8 months) to get plans and building permit that he spent the initial draw by the time he was able to start work. He wanted the second draw but did not perform work for first draw. I would not give him money until he finished the first draw work. He walked away. AJ along with other contractors would not bid on the contract. I finally went to the city government to get initial contractor back to work. I spent $50 on plans trying to get other bids. I did not get a single bid. Lesson was get plans and building permit before signing contract and starting work. I thank all of the contractors who came by to determine if they would do the work. This was expensive because I had many who wanted a copy of the plans. But not one of them gave me a bid. Your system forced me to put something into overall, but I honestly cannot rate this company. I put in a B just to move this forward.

Description of Work: Problem 1: When I called to schedule an appointment for them to come to the house, he asked that I provide him a written scope of work. (I thought that was his job after seeing my room.) I wanted a master bath renovation which included a tile floor. Problem 2: He wanted to do the bathroom but not the floor and recommended I contact a flooring company first. How can you remodel a bathroom and not want to do the floor?

Description of Work: AJ Construction built a new level on our home including removal of the old roof, and intstall of the new roof. Two new bedrooms were added with two new bathrooms and a loft space.

Description of Work: Construction work kitchen, removed old one, placed new one, took care of plumbing work, electricity (lights) tiles, kick out wall between dining room and kitchen.

Description of Work: They removed old carpet and replaced laminated floor.

Description of Work: AJ did a complete renovation for my basement rental unit. It was a complete gut job with install of bathroom, kitchen and bedroom.

Description of Work: Unknowingly I had a leak coming from my upstairs bathroom down to my basement bathroom. I did not know this was going on because I very seldom use that bathroom. The cause of the leak had to be found and the pipes had to be replaced. Also damage was done to the basement ceiling because it had fell in over top of the tub. The lighting had to also be replaced.

Description of Work: I contracted AJ Construction & Development to complete a kitchen remodling job in my home. I was impressed with the owner's (Gitau) timeliness and professionalism. He provided a detailed estimate and began working on my project by Thursday. His workers were considerate of my home, cleaned up everyday, and finished the work on time. I now have a beautifully remodeled kitchen and am looking forward to working with this company on future projects.
