200 Degrees Hot Steam Cleaning

I'm not sure how this place got an A rating? I have my microfiber couch cleaned once a year professionally and do maintenance cleaning myself with a home shampooer (this is to emphasize that the couch was not overly stained or dirty). Firstly, after purchasing the services, I received an email from Angie's saying that I would be contacted soon by the company (like any services you buy). Well that didn't happen, instead I had to call them on the 4th day without hearing from them to schedule an appointment which in itself was difficult. They seemed unaware I had even purchased the service! The day of the appointment was a little better. He (I use the 3rd person because I still don't know his name even after I introduced myself) did come within my appointment window. The quality of work is ok, they did the job but the level of cleanliness after the service was not unlike to what I could have done myself with my own home shampooer or ones you rent from Home Depot. My condo is carpeted and so I was a little surprised that he didn't use foot booties or protection for his boots while working with a shampooer. I decided to let that go. At the end, the service provider, when asking me to sign the paperwork, asked how I wanted to pay?!?! I had to remind him it was an Angie's List purchase. I have used other shampoo/steamer services in previous years who have done a much more thorough job (from setting up appt to the actual cleaning) for a similar price range. Not wowed at all and save yourself the money by going elsewhere. The level of professionalism was simply lacking. 200 Degrees seems like an unsure, incapable, and unorganized company as a whole. To recap, you can probably clean your couch yourself with a rented machine or home shampooer just as well.

The darker areas are still wet and needs another 4-6 hrs to dry)

The workers arrived on time and quickly got to work. They were very efficient and finished within the 2 hour estimate they gave us. I waited to write this review until the carpets were completely dry. The carpets look great! The old stains are gone! We are very pleased and will use this company again in the future!

They were friendly and helpful. They worked quickly and their cleaning was great. The price was tuff to beat.

He cleaned my couch very well but when he moved my couch by himself he drug it across my hard wood floor and now there is big damage on my floor.

I purchased a deal on Saturday and they called me on Monday. Came out right away and did a great job.

I called the provider to get a quote to clean my basement carpet. I was given a verbal quote. I asked whether he could put the quote in writing so that I could submit the quote to my insurance company for reimbursement. He refused outright to give me a quote in writing, saying that's not the way he does business and that I had to complete the work before he would give me a quote. Never mind that something in writing after the work was done would be an invoice, and not a quote. He ended the call by stating that I might be dishonest and keep the money and not pay him. Great customer service!

The technician was very kind, professional and easy to deal with. Our carpets are a cream or tan color and the cleaning process left them as good as when I first got them. The service was quick and easy with only slight dampness left to air out. Highly recommended.

Our second time w/ 200 degrees, and we will use them again. Very professional, and very quick, but the job is well done. The price is excellent value.

I bought a $99 deal from Angies List and because of house renovations and just time I had some pretty grimy furniture. Because the sofa was so light colored I was a little skeptical but both pieces turned out great. My chair is probably 25 years plus and it's never looked better. The gentlemen (forgot his name, sorry) was very professional and on time. He worked the whole time and did an excellent job. I already have other furniture that I'm getting ready to schedule for a cleaning. Very good company - they did a great job.

It went very smoothly. The providers where on time, professional and efficient. They explained the work to be done and made suggestions for maintenance and a cleaning schedule based on my lifestyle. I have already referred the company to a friend.

They were adequate but they weren't great. They weren't terrific. Their pricing is excellent, they were timely but I don't think the rugs are as clean as they could be.

The couch and chair smelled better, but I feel the cleaning 'brought out' many stains/turned the white cloth chair yellow, so be wary of using the service on white furniture.

The service was fine, they came on time and cleaned the sofa. Not much else to it. The only negative I have is that the technician complained about lack of parking and access to water (he had to use the water from his truck). If company wants to do business in Washington,DC (Shaw neighborhood) they should expect situations like this.

Pretty well - the carpets look great, although it got my carbon monoxide detectors going for a good half day afterwards, even with the windows open. It was loud (I live on the 3rd and 4th floors, so he had to run a long hose up there and keep his van going), but all in all, well worth it. He was great at telling me what the previous owners had used (lots of spot treatments) and that they had a dog, as well as tips on how to keep the carpet clean for longer.

He actually arrived early and looked over the areas to be cleaned. He politely explained that some stains may not come out but that he would try. He did a great job and was courteous.

He went above and beyond! He took his time with everything and was very accommodating. I ended up paying in extra because I was just so impressed. His work ethic and honesty are top notch!

How to tell them to go over areas again.

The tile floors look fantastic. I would definitely recommend this provider.
