200 Degrees Hot Steam Cleaning

Went fine. No issues whatsoever. Polite, professional team of two.

They were excellent! Absolutely superb! They arrived early and worked hard from start to finish. My house is 3 floors and they had to run hoses through all three floors as the steam generator was in their truck. They were professional in demeanor and I was comfortable with them in my home. When they left my carpets looked and smelled clean, and the cushions on the furniture smells and feels clean. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Brian Shikoli did an excellent job of going over every detail of what we requested. We then walked through the areas to be cleaned together, pointing out and discussing different stains, possible trouble spots in the carpet, and what to expect from the cleaning. We were then given the cost for the large den and staircase of $129.00. We asked what the additional cost would be for deodorizing the carpet also and were told $65.00. We found this to be very reasonable considering we've had the same cleaning in the past from other companies which would come in and measure every square inch of the den and come up with a price which was at least twice as much as 200 Degrees. In addition, the other company's twice as much price was just for the cleaning the carpet without the staircase, and not including the deodorizing. Brian did an excellent job from bringing in the cleaning hoses and equipment, to donning on the shoe booties to protect from any transported dirt. After the cleaning, We walked through again and everything was sparkling. All of the stains came out and the deodorizer did the trick. Brian even wiped down the moulding along both sides of the entire carpeted staircase. No other cleaning company we had used in the past had ever done that. We know this is supposed to be a Dos and Dont's review but the Dos we have are Do use 200 Degrees to clean your carpets and if possible to request Brian Shikoli as the cleaner. We are also happy with Angie's list as a source for reliable and reasonable services.This may sound like an ad, but was our experience. Thanks,

It went ok. The carpets turned out great by the tile cleanliness did not improve at all. A few months later we refurbished the bathrooms so it is no longer a problem.

Looked as good as they possibly could for old cheap carpets! They did an excellent job, showed up early when I asked them to, and were very professional.

Good. Carpet got quite wet and started warping. He used 2 high pwered fans to try and dry it. Said the carpet wasn't installed prperly. It flattened out after 24 hours

I called at 6:30 on Sunday evening for an estimate on cleaning a chair and upholstered bench. I left a message with the operator at their answering service and received a call back in less than 15 minutes They scheduled my upholstery cleaning for the next day at 9:00 a.m. I added the ottoman to the service becaus the cost to clean the chair and bench was less than the $99 minimum -- which let's you know that they are transparent about their pricing. They arrived on time and got right to work cleaning and sanitizing the three pieces. .They were on their way 45 minutes. The furniture is gleaming! I love contractors who are professional and timely. I would highly recommend them.

Arrived on time. Surveyed the entire house first, then went straight to work. Very professional, thorough and courteous. This was our first steam cleaning, so can't compare to others. The carpets took 24 hours to dry. They look nice and clean. I got a coupon from Angie's list for $150 for two bedrooms and a hallway. So, paid $200 for the rest. The guy didn't seem to know that I got the coupon and I had to tell him (I expected Angie's list to notify them). No big deal. Overall I would use again and recommend to others.

They answered me very quickly. I was having a hard time that would clean the linoleum floor as well. We had had some slight flooding from a huge rainstorm in our basement. It by no means qualified for a disaster company. The floor was a little muddy in the laundry room. I called multiple companies and no one would help me. Really, it only needed a mop and some muscle, but it is a rental home and I don't live close enough it to fix it myself. These guys really helped me out of a jam, and didn't try and take advantage of me! I was totally expecting a phone call asking for more money. He was personable, professional, and his team did a great job. From initial phone call to completed job, A++ work, and from phone call to payment....less then 24 hours. Use these guys!

Very good service. Arrived as advertised, went right to work, with no strain or pain on my part.

There was only 1 worker that showed up to do the job, because his partner did not make it to work. A friend and I helped him move some of the furniture around so that he could get started. I did not have any problem helping him move the furniture, and it spoke volumes of him to still show up and complete the job alone. He was here for a couple of hours and he cleaned the living room/dining room, hallway, and my bedroom. The job that he did was amazing. He told me that he had seen dirtier carpets, but when he was finished with my carpet they looked BEAUTIFUL. I am going to recommend them to my daughter and neighbors that need their carpets cleaned. 200 Degrees called me back immediately, where it took some other companies in the area a little longer to respond. When I called back to ask additional questions they were happy to help me. They were very business like and the gentleman that helped me was a very pleasant person.

Provider arrived on time and immediately went to work. They were efficient, thorough and neat. Additionally, Mr. O gave me tips and information on caring for the furniture which was quite helpful.

The crew did a great job! They recommended deodorizing all the carpets which turned out to be much needed due to pet and food stains. The family room rug was still giving off odors several days after the cleaning and the crew came back at no charge and re-deodorized that rug. Very impressive service!

Harrison from 200 Degrees Carpet Cleaning arrived on time and walked through the areas to be cleaned with me. During our walk through, I asked him if I could switch out the mattress for a flight of stairs and he said yes. After each room that he cleaned, he asked me to inspect it to make sure he didn't miss anything and also showed me any trouble spots. After he was halfway through and I could see how thorough and detailed his work was, I also asked him if he could do an additional 3 flights of stairs, plus 5 area rugs and the basement rec room. He indicated that he had the time and quoted me an estimate of $220, which was extremely reasonable. He completed the work and we walked through the areas that he cleaned together and I was very pleased with the results. I have 3 small dogs, two of which are 1-2 years old and recently house broken, and he was able to get rid of almost all of the pet stains. The carpets feel and smell clean and our allergies have been much better since the carpets have been cleaned. I would highly recommend Harrison and 200 Degrees Carpet Cleaning for the outstanding service that they provided at very reasonable prices.

The condo unit has been used as an one-person office for several years and the beige carpets had become heavily spotted and stained, so this Angie's List deal was too good to pass up. We scheduled about 10 days in advance, and had to make one change because of a conflict, but they were very accommodating and were able to arrange a convenient new time. The two man team arrived on time and completed the entire job in less than an hour. One man did spot cleaning of the stains and spots and the other operated the large steam cleaner/vacuum machine over the entire area. We were frankly amazed at how well the stains and spots were removed, returning the carpets to a fresh, clean appearance. We will use these people again whenever we require carpet cleaning, and can unhesitatingly recommend them to others.

Our downstairs carpet had some serious dirt, so I had Harrison, who was very polite and hard-working, tackle the job. It was a large room, and several sets of stairs. It took over two days to dry, which I had anticipated, especially where he went over stained areas from footwear quite a few times. But the carpet looks so much better. It's a very light carpet that shows dirt easily, so he even told me that not everything would come out all the way. Given how bad the situation was, I was fairly pleased with the outcome. My lesson to self is have the carpets cleaned every year, not every 3. He also offered to clean an old couch, but we are going to donate it soon. All in all a good experience. Do expect to have to wait to have things dry for several days if the area is really stained, as he will go over the stains with more water and detergent. Also, we didn't have fans to expedite drying. That would be one good thing to know in the future. Floor fans really help. He was a little late to the appointment but explained that there had been an accident on Connecticut Avenue. As I was home all day, it was not a big deal to me. He put the furniture up on Styrofoam sliders so that the wood would not contact the damp carpet. A nice plus. It's best to have as little furniture in the rooms as possible, but we were able to move some antiques that I was concerned about.

I had used this company several times in the past and took advantage of the Big Deal of the day from Angies. Which by the way wasn't a good deal, I should have dug up my old files. When comparing previous invoices I paid less before for the same amount of cleaning but I agreed to pay the price so I did. First problem was I want to change the date of the cleaning. I called at least 10 times the week and days leading up to the cleaning and NO ONE, answered and you couldn't leave a message. They did show up on the cleaning day right when they were supposed to. I even called while they were there and showed them their phones were not working. As a previous report by someone else stated, the rugs were not getting clean. The water was cold and several rugs had to be repeated and these were rugs that were clean by them 10 months ago. White towels were coming up gray or very dirty. I really had no confidence that the rugs were cleaned. They were so wet that it took 30 hours to dry. My guess is their equipment is aging or faulty. While I had great experiences with them in the past, I even submitted positive reports I will not use them in the future. And a word to the wise. Beware of the "Deals" -- this was no deal.
