Description of Work: Mr. Lathrum came and provided an estimate. He made arrangements to begin the project but failed to show-up. We contacted him and he said he was very busy and the project before ours ran late. He again made arrangements to begin the job but failed to show-up or call. We contacted him and he said the job he was on got backed-up because of rain. He made arrangements for a third date to begin work, it was a rainy day, and again failed to show or call. We called him and told him we had found another vender.

Description of Work: Kevin responded promptly to our initial phone call request to evaluate whether our chimney needed repair. He kindly agreed to come on a Saturday which was the best day for us. His visit was AFTER we had just had the chimney cleaned and had been told by THAT chimney sweep that we had cracks in 2 tiles that needed to be repaired/rebuilt or we could have a chimney liner put in (which HE COULD do, but not the repair). So we wanted another opinion. When Kevin came, we told him that the chimney swift had seen two cracked tiles and asked him to check that out and any other issues he saw with the safe functioning of the chimney. Kevin arrived promptly and examined the chimney from the roof and from the living room. He said he saw two "hairline" cracks in the two upper flue tiles, but did not believe we needed to do anything. He said the chimney was well built and lined and that we could use it safely as it was. He said he did not want to take our money when it was not necessary to do any repairs. We appreciated his honesty. He said there was no charge for his time/visit.

Description of Work: Bricked front of my house and around the base of house and steps and retaining wall.
