Description of Work: Needed to have a leaking faucet in the master bath shower repaired. I called Wednesday afternoon and left a message. I received a call back within 10 minutes. An appointment was set up for Thursday between 10:00 am and noon.

 + -1 moreThey responded the same day, it was great, so they were very responsive. They got the work done really promptly. It wasn't exactly how we would have preferred it to be done, but it was fine. It took a couple of hours to complete, it wasn't very long. They left the area pretty good. They could have done a better job, but it wasn't debris or anything.
Description of Work: We had a pinhole leak in the pipes so they came and repaired it.

He called to let us know he was enroute and showed up RIGHT ON TIME. Everything went smoothly and he not only fixed the one toilet, but adjusted another. We are VERY PLEASED

 + 0 moreWe had a clogged pipe from the kmitchenthat was probably due to overuse of our garbage disposal. I tried my best to snake it out myself, but could not get past the Y bend in the pipe. Tom was able to install a new access and remove the blockage for us. I really appreciate their punctuality as they were at my house within an hour of calling.

 + -1 moreEverything went like clockwork. I purchased a new drain assembly from The Home Depot. I had to order it online. After I received it, I emailed W.H. Winegar about a quote for the installation. Within two days, I got a fair quote from Lisa. I gave her a time frame for my installation which she met. She put me on the schedule. Bernard, the plumber, called about an hour before he arrived. He completed the job in less than an hour. I have used this company before , and I would use them again for my plumbing needs. This is a good plumbing company.

 + -1 moreJim, who is a friendly person, arrived at his scheduled time. I showed him the exposed pipe, and he went to work. Draining my sprinkler system took a lot of time because I have a large house, but finally it drained. Once that was done, he was able to complete the repair. He completed the repair about two month ago, and I haven't had any problems.
Description of Work: My lower level sprinkler pipe had a very small leak near a tee. I needed it repaired.

 + 0 moreThe plumber had to snake the drain 3 times and while it opened the drain, it became clogged again in less than 3 weeks. Winegar sent a second plumber out to clear the problem only charging the houly rate, not the first call rate or equipment charges. The second plumber cleared the problem in one try and we have had no problem since.

 + -1 morePretty bad. Basically I paid for the plumber to show up and rip apart the kitchen ceiling without fixing the issue.
Description of Work: The bathroom standing bath was leaking somewhere and water was coming from the kitchen ceiling. It was difficult to identify the source of the leak. That is why I called a professional plumber. Well, that was a nightmare I narrowly avoided. The plumber ripped apart my kitchen ceiling still could not locate the source. He wanted to pull apart bath sink and wall etc to locate the issue. I figured out if that is the case, it would be 5-8K cost to repair everything. Basically, it is re-modelling the bathroom after the projected work had been done. Somehow because the plumber is going out of time(I will discuss this part in second paragraph), he decided to work on a different day. I was saved by God from shelling out 5-8K for nothing. I called my realtor friend and discussed the issue. He sent his trusted contractor to take a look. The issue was caulks in the standing bath and he re-caulked the leak was stopped. It has been 2 months now and not a single drop is coming. For just 50.00 the entire job is done. However, I paid 250 to the plumber to rip apart my ceiling and the cost to repair it was 300.00. So paid fore than half grand for nothing. Coming back to the second issue of timing, the appointment was for 2-4, last appointment of the day. That guy came at 2.20. Worked for 1h15min and decided that if he would continue beyond 4PM, he would charge double the amount. This is ridiculous. Thankfully, I was saved by this policy because I did not want to pay twice as much. Luckily the damage done by the plumber was less for me. SO be aware of the hidden policies. When you call a plumber, you are paying a price just to show up at you door and multi trip would cost more.

 + 0 moreBernie did a great job. He called ahead of time to say that he was on the way, diagnosed the problem pretty quickly, drained the water heater, and replaced the upper element and thermostat with spares that I had on hand. W.H. Winegar just became my new plumbing and heating go-to.
Description of Work: Our water heater frequently conked out and had to be restarted, and condensation was forming in the thermostat control panel, which eventually caused an electrical short that tripped the breaker. The mechanic (Bernie) diagnosed the problem as a burnt out heating element that caused the heater to turn off. The frequent on-again-off-again cycle caused the water to cool and reheat over and over, resulting in condensation.

 + -1 moreThey were great on the phone, asked questions as why we thought the water was coming from the toilet base. Very professional and polite. Made a quick appointment for plumber who was great. Quickly diagnosed the problem to be leaking flange seal. Was unable to find a replacement and had to order it. It took about a week to get the part and was replaced, solving the problem. Due to the delay in receiving the part (no fault of theirs), the company did not charge us for the part! It was a great experience and we will highly recommend W.H. Vinegar & Son.
Description of Work: We noticed little water on the floor around the toilet bowl. A little looking around indicated that it was coming from the base of the toilet bowl. After reviewing Angies list, we decided to call the company to investigate the source of the leak and repair it.

The repair was a bit more intricate due to limited space and some poor quality work done (not by Winegar & Sons) in the past. Jim explained what he was doing, asked me to inspect the work and also cleaned up after himself. During the entire visit he was friendly, polite and professional. The cost was very reasonable.

Im a new homeowner and I felt overwhelmed by all the little things that needed to be fixed (allot of little things). He made sure he helped in every way possible. I would highly recommend this company, they are professional, prompt, and fair. BTW, Terry let me me reach out to him if i noticed anything else that needed work, I even bugged him during the weekend because I thought that the water heater was broken, turns out that the valve wasn't on.... did i mention I'm new at this? :) Terry was very patient with me, came that following Monday and turned it on. Bernard called around 10 to say he might be a little past noon arrivng as the job he was doing was taking more time than planned.  + -1 moreI sent an email to Winegar on a Saturday morning with my list. I received a call back from Winegar on Monday morning to discuss my list and set up an appointment. The woman who called was very friendly and efficient. She said that someone would call between 8:00 and 9:00 on Wednesday before he arrived. Jim called at 8:30 on Thursday and arrived before 9:00. Jim was very friendly. I gave him a tour of all the projects and he started on the top floor and worked his was down. He replaced a broken U-trap, repaired a knob in a shower, replaced a faucet in the sink of another bathroom, replaced the shut-off valve to an exterior faucet, and replaced another exterior faucet. He had to order two parts and returned the next Wednesday to replace a drain pipe and install strainers in two sinks. I have used Winegar before and as before, I am pleased with the quality of the work. Everything is working and no messes left behind. I would definitely use Winegar & Son in the future.
Description of Work: I had a laundry list of things that needed repairs or replacements, faucets, drains, shut-off valves. Most of the work was completed on the first day (3 hours) but some parts had to be ordered and a second visit (1 hour) was needed.

He also cleaned up his work area and was cognizant of not leaving dirt on our rugs. I would definitely hire this company again!! I only gave the cost grade a B because we had never hired a plumber before and it was a bit more expensive then expected.
Description of Work: Took care of several plumbing projects we had: checked 3 toilets (repaired with new parts in tanks), replaced garbage disposal, installed new shower head, and checked our water heater.

 + -1 moreBernard was very professional and really very pleasant to work with. They were supposed to come in the afternoon and did and gave us a 20 minute advance notice. He assessed the situation with our 2 sinks and didn't try to sell me on a pricey fix like one prior plumber had done. In this case the sink had unclogged itself after I ran the disposal a lot before he got here, but he was able to verify there weren't long-term problems with the sinks. I had him look at our toilets which were 'ghost-flushing' and he replaced flappers. Also had him look at our bathtub which backs up. He snaked that 15 feet as well. The hourly price was reasonable compared to a prior plumbing company we used, particularly for the snaking. He was very nice
