The only glitch was an extra small charge for maneuvering the piano to fit my door. This extra charge was not explained to me when the move was scheduled.

These guys are great and true professionals. They treated my piano with respect and fully understood that a piano needs to be moved very carefully; a piano is not just a piece of furniture. They did a great job and worked very hard to get the job done right. I would (and will) definitely hire again. I strongly recommend them. It is clear they are experienced and know what they are doing.

It went fine. They faced a challenge getting it down and back up my narrow staircase, but these guys know what they're doing. They are prompt, courteous, carefully scope out the space and process, put down plenty of protection for the floors and stairs, and take great care with the instrument.

I received a piano from a friend in another city (about 25 miles away). I made the appointment to have it moved and spoke to the movers prior to let them know it was a first floor, no steps entrance from pick-up to drop-off. They went and picked up the piano from the seller, brought it to my home and placed it safely. They were careful with not only the piano but the floor and walls, etc. Great job.

A heavy upright piano had to be moved from our garage to the basement. Just 12 steps down but what a tight space. Ted and his two excellent co-workers worked their magic and got the piano exactly where we wanted it. And without cussing! After reading the reviews on Angie's list, I requested a price proposal on a Tuesday. I received a response within an hour and the work was scheduled for two days later. Ted showed up on time. He and co-workers were very pleasant and professional. Would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

The movers were very strong and super careful with the house and its marble tile foyer. They elected instead to transport it through the house, over the deck and unto the sidewalk from which the piano could be loaded in the truck. At the new location they had a very steep inclide which the men neogitated with ease.

I recommend them extremely highly. The company was able to schedule a move for the next day, they arrived promptly, were extremely professional and very courteous and friendly. I felt extremely at ease trusting my piano to them, and they couldn't have been nicer. Job was complete in under an hour. A great team, and truly a flawless experience. Perfect marks all around.

Ted and I spoke on the phone in the morning and we were going to plan the move for later in the week once I checked my calendar. He called me back before I could reply with a time and mentioned he was going to be near by and was ahead of schedule. If I was available we could move it immediately. I took him up on his offer and the crew showed up, moved the piano without incident and were on there way all in about a half an hour. Second time I have worked with them and if I move that piano again, they will be my first call.

Ted and his crew were amazing. They succeeded in wrestling my baby grand piano up the equivalent of two flights of stairs (counting about 10 outside) and around a very tight landing in my old DC row house. Another reputable mover told me it couldn't be done, except possibly with a crane through the window. Its in, its great, I'm thrilled. I watched in trepidation but they were on top of the whole thing from start to finish.

They were great! They got the piano in through a tight area with a staircase without damaging the piano or the house.

I could not be happier. I called Ted on a Monday and the piano was picked-up and delivered to NC on Thursday of the same week. I had contacted several larger moving companies and they want $1200-1500 to move the piano. The piano has been in the family for three generations and Johnson Piano Moving gave it a lot of TLC.. Great job at a reasonable price.
