We needed help. While the piano made it from another location to our garage, we had several stairs and new hardwood floors to navigate. I didn't want anyone to get hurt or anything to be damaged. Johnson's quoted me a fair price over the phone and reassured me that my floors would not be harmed. We set up the appointment 2 days later with a 2 hour delivery window. Since I was working they provided me a 30 minute pre-arrival call so that I had time to get home from the office. They arrived promptly, moved the piano flawlessly, and finished the job quickly. I recommend Johnson's and will use them again when another piano move is needed.

The cost was lower than a couple companies I contacted. Johnson's crew was on time, in and out in a jiff, with no damage to anything. We would definitely use this company again. Arline

We needed a piano moved to our house and called around for estimates. Johnson's Piano Moving was gave me an estimate much lower than other movers. Initially I was weary but they were responsive on the phone and email and guaranteed they could move the piano within my specified time frame. They were meticulous about moving the piano and very respectful of the homeowner. When it turned out the piano was more complicated in moving out of a room than initially thought they still charged me the original quote. I was very pleased and highly recommend!

What a great experience! I contacted the company via email initially, and got a phone call within half an hour from Ted, the owner. I explained the situation, namely that the piano would not fit up the stairs in the new house and would have to be brought in via a balcony entrance. Ted sent two of his crew to the delivery address to assess the situation so there would be no surprises and they would have a plan in place. On the original moving date, there was a threat of rain, and, while they were willing to go ahead with the move, I asked to put it off a few days, and they had no issues with it. This morning they arrived on time, and got the piano onto the truck very quickly. A small point that impressed me: they used two different dollies to move the piano: one to get the piano from its location to the door, and another to move it from the door to the truck. The outdoor dolly had fat tires so it would not damage the grass. When the truck arrived at the delivery address, three additional helpers also showed up. Rather than use a crank hoist to lift the piano, they used a ramp. They were very careful and meticulous in setting up the ramp, positioning the truck perfectly and checking the angles so they would be able to safely get the piano to the second floor. Once everything was satisfactory, the move itself took just a minute or two. Then they just as carefully removed their equipment and made sure I was satisfied with the process before accepting payment. It really was a treat to watch these men work together; it was a carefully choreographed ballet in which my beloved piano was the star, and they were all working to make sure it was treated gently. I would certainly trust them with any future piano moving!

Our experience was very positive. Johnsons was willing to do the job the very next day after I called. In the end we had to change the day, and they were in communication with me about this via e-mail as late as 9 p.m. the day before the move took place. So they were very flexible. The job was tough on the front end; I wasn't there for that part, but I understand they had to move the piano down several flights of stairs in a very busy urban neighborhood. Everything arrived in good condition and the crew was pleasant. My only complaint would be that they charged me a bit more than I was quoted because of the complications on the front end; I wish they had been more explicit about how they charge per landing. But all in all it was a great experience.

I called for an estimate and was given one immediately over the phone for the same price I paid the day of. They were able to squeeze me in very quickly (within the next week). The movers were prompt and courteous. They had no trouble moving the piano through a small doorway and into the new house. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I described the piano and number of steps involved in moved and was given an estimate over the phone. With short notice the mover and I were able to identify a day he and I would both be in NJ for the pick-up. Mover kept the piano in storage a few days until I returned to Maryland. Mover kept me informed of when he would pick-up and deliver the piano and kept to his schedule.

It went great. As promised, they called when on their way to pick up the piano and called when it was in route for delivery. They arrived and delivered within their delivery window. I emailed Johnson's Piano on a Sunday and asked for a Friday delivery. Ted emailed me back within hours with the price and confirmation of a Friday move. The movers were professional and capable.

Owner told me the options and approximate price over the phone, then came and surveyed the house before his movers showed up. Told me it was possible they could move the piano to the basement and store it there, saving us storage costs. Movers attempted to move piano to basement, but then owner decided against it, brought the piano back up the stairs, put it on the truck, and dispatched it to their warehouse. Five months later, they returned and reassembled it. Piano appears to have weathered the journey well. Efficient and professional. Well done.

I found Johnson's Piano Moving on Angie's List. I called and they were very responsive. After getting the details, they were able to handle the move within 2 or 3 days. They picked the piano up at approximately 9:30 am. I did not ask and they did not tell me that they had another delivery to make, and I erroneously assumed that they were going straight to my drop-off location. As a result, it was delivered later than anticipated. This was explained to me when I called to find out where the piano was, since the recipient had been expecting them for awhile. The move itself went smoothly, and they called me when it was complete to get my credit card information. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Called on Tuesday to get quote. This was my third call. This provider asked very detailed questions before providing a quote, some of which I was not able to answer very well due to my lack of knowledge of pianos and the place from which the piano was being moved. Told provider we needed an afternoon appointment. Made appointment for afternoon of Thurs. Tues late afternoon got call offering to move appt to morning. Since we had a conflict, I did not call back. On morning of move, got call asking that they come in morning. That did not work for us. So we talked and worked out an alternative where he picked up the piano in the a.m. and delivered to us in the early afternoon. That worked for us. The piano arrived without a bit of damage along the way.

It was perfect. They showed up on time, were polite and efficient. They moved the piano without a scratch. They had quoted the minimum of $150.00 over the phone, and I had said that I would understand if there were some obstacles that I had neglected to mention that might raise the price. They charged the $150 minimum.

After reviewing a few different piano moving companies on Angie's List, I called Johnson's, based on their ratings and reviews. They responded quickly and were able to schedule the move within two days of my call. I was pleasantly surprised at that, as well as Ted's willingness to give me his cell phone number and answer it even on his off day, so that I could coordinate details about the move. The piano arrived in great condition, and the movers took great care with it. The only odd part of the experience was that one of the movers tried to sell me "a better piano" that was in the truck. I declined, telling him that I'd already paid for this piano, and he didn't press it. I later learned that he'd made the same offer to the person I'd bought the piano from. That was the only thing I found a little disconcerting; movers are not salespeople. Other than that, I had an excellent experience and highly recommend them.

Drivers showed up on time, and had the piano loaded in only a few minutes. Delivery into the townhouse was a little rougher. Brought the Piano up one flight of outdoor stairs that had two turns, then up a few interior steps. Driver's increased price over quoted rate because they said the turns in the stairs hadn't been part of the quote, which was true.
