Johnson's Piano Moving

I appreciated the promptness with which my phone call was returned, a quote given, and the actual move scheduled. Everything went smoothly.

1. The piano movers were quite responsive when I called and updated me on the delays in arrival due to the rain. Nevertheless, and estimate of 10-12 finally ended up being roughly 2 pm by the time the movers arrived. 2. The move out of the single family house went fine. However I didnt anticipate any issues there. 3. The issue was in the town home, where they failed to plan before they started the move of the piano up the flight of stairs. Since they were scratching the wall and the the staircase wall was visibly being bent I was concerned. Then the piano failed to fit through the narrow space between the ceiling and the stairs at which point I called the move up the stairs off and then they moved it into the basement floor. I think they could have estimated that the move would be practically impossible prior to starting the move up and given me a choice as to whether I wanted to give it a go. However there was noone in the crew who seemed professional enough at estimating whether the move would work or not. In addition they indicated themselves that it would have been easier had they had two more members in the crew. All in all, for the price I expected more planning in terms of how the move should go. It seemed that they just picked it up and tried to move it.

Perfectly. They showed up on time, knew exactly how to handle the piano to get it out the door safely and quickly, and provided me with a receipt for tax donation purposes. They were much better the other mover who brought a piano from my dad's home in Baltimore to my home in Gaithersburg. I was very impressed!

These guys were awesome! Arrived on time and got the job done so quick. They make moving piano's so easy but it is NOT! They were so curteous and kind. IT was a wonderful experience.

When I called the company they were able to accommodate my move date immediately. I had scheduled about a week prior to move date. They provided an estimate based on length of grand and specified additional costs for steps and general accessibility. It seemed comparable to other movers, but slightly higher. I wanted quality movers, however, given the age and condition of the piano. The three-men moving team arrived at first location within the specified two-hour window. They called me just 20 minutes prior to their arrival to my home. They unloaded the piano and reassembled it with care and expertise. They were very professional and courteous.

The crew arrived late but had alerted me to the delay which was not their fault. Since the piano was being moved from the second story of a townhouse, there was a second crew that was supposed to assist with the move but the second crew didn't appear until the piano had been loaded onto the truck. When the piano was in place at the new location, it required a minor movement (possibly two inches) which the crew did but somewhat begrudginly. After the move was completed, the crew made it very clear that they expected a gratutity.

The woman who answered the phone was very professional. My home is a little outside their normal service area, so it was going to be a bit more expensive, but she found another appointment in their schedule that was close to my home and gave me a $25 discount. The guys called about an hour before they arrived. Three men came when they said they'd come and very quickly moved the piano. Even though it was a narrow fit through two doorways, the paint on the doorways and the finish on the piano were unchanged. They took the time to center the piano on the wall in its new room before they took it off the dolly.

The team (3 men) arrived on time and within 30 minutes had it out of my home and on the truck, safe and secure. They arrived at my granddaughters house 10 minutes earlier than expected and had it in her living room within 10 minutes! It was well worth the price I paid to have the piano moved safely. The team was professional, courteous, and efficient. A wonderful company to deal with. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others.

Exceptional experience. Direct and effortless. Called for a price, asked me a couple of questions, gave me a quote that was half the cost of anyone else I called, and delivered the piano. Class act business and would recommend to anyone!

The men arrived and they were at my house less than 15 minutes. Rolled out the piano and loaded it quick. The men were all great I only had 2 steps. They left and drove to Annapolis. about 35 minutes from my house to my son's. They arrived and took it up about 15 steps into the house and then another 5 steps up to the living room. All done no problems no scatches.They were GREAT! I will call the player piano out from the downstairs!

Their price was good and they were on time and came and delivered when they said they would.

Ted and two other movers showed up on time and they were very polite and careful with the piano. They all wore shirts with company logos and staff''s name and were very professional. The experience was short and sweet and we would definitely recommend its service to others.

Johnson's Piano Moving did a wonderful job! I have an old full size upright piano that must weigh over 800 pounds! Those guys wrestled it up the steps, then down the steps, and into my little apartment without a scratch! It was quite unbelievable to watch but they did it! Very professional in all aspects! They moved my piano to the former dining area, my dining room furniture to the former living room area, and my living room furniture to the piano area. After the rearrangement, my guests will be able to sit comfortably on the sofa while I play piano. The traffic flows better and everyone feels more relaxed and comfortable in the new layout. I am very happy with how it turns out. Yes, I know room design has nothing to do with the piano moving service, but they were very respectful to my wishes and patiently finessed the precise location of the piano to optimize the acoustics. After the rearrangements, they also held up hanging lights I have bought in the air so that I could determine if the hanging lights work with the new layout. They were very pleasant to work with. I will definitely hire them again if I ever need to move my piano (God forbid! It is as heavy as an elephant!) The young kid named Marcus was particularly patient in helping me test the acoustics of the piano in the new location.

Perfect! Since I am retired Foregin Service officer, we travel a lot and experienced with many different movers. Johnson's Piano movers are the best with the Italian movers (Panda) that packed and moved us from Rome, Italy to Potomac, Maryland.

i emailed to inquire about moving a piano, and had to wait a few days to receive a response. once i got the quote, my wife called to arrange the delivery, and they were very cordial and helpful. on pickup-and-delivery day, they were 90 minutes late, but they called 45 minutes before our scheduled arrival time to inform us. they were late because of unusually slow traffic, and not poor planning. once they arrived, they quickly and carefully loaded the piano and drove to my house. they were very courteous and careful of our floor (hardwood), and made some recommendations for keeping the piano steady and stable. i would definitely use this company again!

Excellent experience! Called them hoping to get an appointment sometime during Christmas week. To my surprise, they offered to squeeze me in on Christmas Eve morning. Every other place I called would not commit to anything this week. Not only that, but they charged about 30% less than other places I had called. They came promptly and performed the move quickly and professionally. I wasn't there to witness the move myself, but they were very good about calling me at every step of the way so I knew what was going on. Would definitely recommend them!

We have used this company last months and were very pleased. Mr. Ted Jarboe arrived with two assistants. They moved a china cabinet, a dining room table with six chairs, a small cabinet, and a desk which was in the basement. They are all very careful with the furniture and very professional. Then we asked them to bring up from the basement some items that we want to donate to charity. At the townhouse, the desk had to be carried upstairs where they moved two small bookcases beforehand. All went very well. We will use them again in January.

Great move. Punctual, careful and fast. These guys know how to move a piano. There were a coule of tight corners but no problem.
