Jeff showed up for the estimate on time and after talking to him I realized he knew what he was doing.(This wasn't the case for every person who gave me an estimate) On the installation date I was at work, but when I came home he had done the installation exactly how we had discussed it and it looks great.

.Excellent experience. Jeff and his team installed the entire fence in one day from start to finish. It was also our move in day from an out of town move. Jeff handled the estimate and negotiations with us over email, website and telephone while we were still in TX. We agreed to the vey reasonable price and then he got the permits for us and helped with the plans. We were able to get the fence up in time to have a safe place for our dogs immediately upon move in. I highly recommend this company and would use them again for any fencing issues.

Jeff came out promptly in response to my call, first performing "emergency surgery" on a section of fence that had come down and then providing a series of alternative estimates for different types of fencing. Once we set the date, he checked in shortly beforehand to confirm he and his crews were coming (and that we were expecting them!) and then showed up promptly and went straight to work. Not only did Jeff personally lay out the work plan for the two-day job, but his foremen and crews were immediately and skillfully at work. There were a number of challenges, including a wooden wall that had been built right up against our fence at one place (which we didn't know about until the old fence was taken down), numerous plantings that we wanted to save, a PVC drain line that ran along the property line, and a topography that wasn't particularly easy to deal with. The work was done on schedule and looks terrific. We also added a couple of things to the work list not directly related to the fence, which Jeff managed to get done during the same two-day period. As with the fence, itself, the quality is superb. My wife and I were not only extremely satisfied with the fence but also appreciative of the attitude and professional approach of the foremen and all the men on the job. We had turned to Jeff following the derecho wind storm in June 2012 for emergency repairs (having gotten his name through Angie's List) and were sufficiently impressed that we turned to him again for this much bigger job. No question but that we would recommend Phoenix Fence and call them back to help us in the future for any fencing or similar work.

They were fantastic. The guy came on time to provide the estimate. Estimate was reasonable. They came to install when they said they would (within the week) took the old fence out, carted it away and did a great job on the installation. I had asked them to also them to replace another gate which they didn't charge me for they forgot to do but they came back anyway within a couple of days and installed the gate. I would definitely use these guys again.

Jeff and his team were professional and delivered very high quality work. They installed about 300' of commercial grade aluminum 6' wrought iron style fence and another 900'+ of 6' black chain link. The transitions were perfectly planned so the neighbors only see the high quality fencing and the whole job took just over 2 days to do. Jeff was personable from the first call - showed up on time for the quote and the job - his quote was fair and the team he brought on site were professional, courteous and worked very hard. It was a big job and Jeff and his team really delivered!

They did a beautiful job. They also had reasonable prices. They were really on the ball. They responded to all of my questions and listened to my needs both on design and finances. They came up with all sorts of designs and I am very happy their work.

The estimator was very knowledgeable. He made me aware that my job is too small for his company, i.e., unless we were replacing at least 100' of fence it would probably not be cost effective to go with his firm. My job only requires a replacement of 21' of fence. He suggested that I contact my general contractor for a comparison estimate. At this point because of the warranty and guanrantees provided for their services and product, I am not ruling them out for my fence work etc. At this time I am comparison shopping.

I was very pleased. Our fence is over 10 years old and the gates were breaking, not opening, etc...Company was responsive and came out within a week. So happy to be able to open and shut the gates now.

Job was accomplished in a timely and professional manner from the estimate to the completion of the wrok.

Very pleased with our fencing experience. The fence looks beautiful. Came out and helped us work through some interesting property line options with regard to our neighbors and their old fences. I would highly recommend for anyone to use. 2 of our neighbors have already talked to them about doing fences in their yard. The work was done quickly and professionally. We really felt like Phoenix had the most experience and expertise when compared to other estimates that we received. Their estimate was spot on and very competitive. They were not the cheapest, but were within $100 of the others and based on the expertise factor should be considered a bargain.

Price - Jeff Rogers (Owner of Phoenix Fence and Deck) was the lowest of three bids I received. Quality - The fence looks great. It will probably last for a generation or more. Two examples of quality: (1) The custom gate called for an simple arbor top. I don't recall that I specified the size of the boards that were to be included. Nevertheless I got a quality 1X6 stock that was perfect for the aesthetic effect that I wanted to achieve. (2) to create an aesthetially appealing front view of the fence that incorporated a custom gate, the distance between posts not an even multiple of the boards. Thus, a board had to be ripped and installed with the other boards in a way that was visually seamless. Jeff and crew did that beautifully. Responsiveness - The fence contract was awarded in the middle of January. Jeff immediately advised that he had to order the fence stock since he didn't have any on hand and he immediately gave me a projected date for the project. As the projected date approached, the forecast was for a deep freeze. Jeff sent the crew over a couple of days earlier in order to set the posts before the ground froze. They would come back later to complete the rest of the install. In the rush, the two posts that were to support the arbor top and frame the gate were too short and had to later be replaced with taller posts. Jeff did this cheerfully and without complaint. Another example of responsiveness: I had a hand sketched concept of the custom gate without enough detail to build it. We discussed the details and Jeff built what was essentially a prototype. It gave me the opportunity to see the gate concept in tangible form and then make changes from there. I requested a revision and Jeff did that cheerfully without the least betrayal of frustration. He even verbalized how important it was to him to satisfy me. I would add, there was not one example where an email or phone call was not returned. Punctuality and Professionalism - I initially called Jeff on a Saturday and he came over that afternoon to look at my project. I discussed the fence option with three different providers and Jeff Rogers (Owner of Phoenix Fence and Deck) was the only one that provided a written detailed proposal/quote on the spot. The others emailed cursory and incomplete quote information after the initial visit that required additional follow up discussion. Jeff's company has several snow removal contracts and of course the snow hit during the fence project. Jeff had to juggle my fence project with competing priorities. He did that professionally and kept me informed throughout. It was also my experience that Jeff demonstrated a significant degree of patience as he and I tried to detail my concept for a custom gate. It was his experience and knowledge that got the gate to where it needed to be...GREAT! If I could remake the world I would create more people like Jeff. I would confidently recommend Phoenix Fence and Deck to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Post Script: The day after the fence was completed, a light snow fell. The combination of Asian elements in the gate, the fresh cedar and pine and the light snow created a breathtaking visual tableau. It was as if the powers of the universal and the eternal had approved. Fortunately I got a photo.

I met with a number of fence company representatives before deciding to go with Phoenix Fence. I chose Phoenix because of Jeff's straightforward approach and the sterling reviews I found on various websites. I also walked around my neighborhood and liked the work his crew had done on other homes. His was not the lowest estimate, but it was a competitive price. The company with the lowest estimate didn't have as high ratings, and I wanted a fence that improves the look of the neighborhood--not detracts. In fact, it does look great! I have had several people ask me for Jeff's contact information after they saw my fence. I liked Jeff because he was straightforward and thorough, going over everything with me and answering all my questions about how different details would be handled. There was very little dickering with the estimate, he wrote a fair quote. He didn't play around with a substantially marked up price that was then marked down (which most of the other fence companies did). We did bargain a little though, as he was also doing an estimate on fencing for my mother's house (which his company also did and that also came out well). Jeff showed up with his crew the morning of the install to go over final details. His crew worked quick and cleaned up well. There are just a few areas that need to be fixed (eg boards that have popped over the winter), but any large project is going to have that. Overall, the quality of the wood they used is pretty good (one other fence company that had a lower price also had the knottiest boards I have ever seen). Plus, they upgraded the wood facing the street to cedar for free! I am very pleased with the fence

We live in a town house. The fence along my neighbor's property and I was worn out. Phoenix fence and deck repaired this part of the fence, replaced my gate and repaired part of my neighbor's fence. The work was good and the price reasonable. I would recommned Phoenix fence and deck for additional work.

Jeff Rogers the owner is terrific. He came when he said he would and reviewed everything with me and made lots of great suggestions. They had the style we wanted and the price was very good. Thousands less than the other two companies which came out for estimates. Jeff understood the urgency of our installation and got it installed in less than one week for a fairly large job. His crew was outstanding and professional. They completed the fence in one day. I highly recommend Jeff and Phoenix Fence and Deck.

The Derecho took down a tree that tore up my chain link fences and my deck. Not a lot of work, and several fence contractors were not interested as it was too small. Jeff was very responsive, came out next day, worked with me to get the price right, and worked the small job into his schedule. He called to let me know they'd be out at a date and time, came by with his guys, and they executed well. The carpenter knew his stuff and threw in a few detail cuts that showed it. Not a lot of work, but executed very well.

I first spoke to Jeff in November 2012 about a fence. When I met him, I felt like he knew what he was doing and was being straight with me. I felt like he offered a fair price. I had to submit an application to our HOA and waited until January until we got our approval. Once I called Jeff after approval, he scheduled the job within a week. He and his crew arrived on time. Jeff made sure everybody knew what was going on and then left. His crew worked efficiently and finished the work that day. When I inspected the work, I noticed that the gates had bigger cracks than I had expected there would be. One of Jeff's crew called Jeff and put me on the phone with him. I explained my issue and Jeff heard me out and suggested that he go to the lumber yard the next day to see if he could find gates that were less cracked. He called the next day to tell me that the lumber yard didn't have more inventory available that I would be happy with. After a conversation about it, we agreed if he were to apply some liquid nail product to the cracks, it would help. I called Jeff after a couple of weeks to ask if I was still on his list to have the cracks filled. He told me that the weather hadn't been warm enough for the liquid nail to cure, but said I was still on his list. About a week after that, he called me to ask if I was happy with the patch up. I didn't even know that anyone had patched them! I told him they looked good. Overall, the fence looks great and I am happy to have it. I think that Jeff is interested in making sure his customers are happy.

Phoenix was one of 4 estimates I got on our picket fence job. Jeff the owner, showed up on time and gave us a written estimate on site. His estimate was the best price out of 4 that we obtained. Their ratings for quality work were also good so we chose to go with Phoenix. The ratings speak for themselves. He arrived on time on the scheduled day with his crew and materials. He came back during the day to check on and supervise the work. The crew hand built the fence in one day and were very talented and knew what they were doing. They used quality materials. They were extremely polite and cleaned up very nicely, leaving no piles of dirt, mud or materials behind. The fence is beautiful and I have received many compliments. I would highly recommend them and not waste my time with others. I plan to use them again to redo the fence in my back yard too. Thanks Jeff for a job done extremely well. We love it and the dogs are happy too!

We were more than happy with the finished product. When they were not satisfied with the way the fencing was looking, they added a gate and changed some of the picket fencing. It was checked to make sure there was no way our puppy could escape. It was a much better service than I have had with a big name chain company.

Jeff at Phoenix fence was the first to respond to my inquiries to fence companies for estimates. He came over and walked the property and made recommendations. We eventually changed our minds multiple times, which he had no problem with. He gave us a decent estimate that included an Angie's List discount, and offered to match or beat estimates from most other competing companies in the area. We appreciated that he had a color brochure with many examples that we could use to choose from and that we could show our HOA for approval for the new fence. We did get a few other estimates that were lower. Jeff was responsive and adjusted to match one of them. We agreed on a price, but eventually received an even lower estimate from a company that had been out of the running. After asking Jeff to adjust again, he came out to our house once more to explain the differences between the estimates, but still adjusted the price down a little more, which I certainly appreciated. Once we signed the contract, Phoenix moved quickly. They got the building permit and scheduled the job not long after. On the day of installation, two members of Jeff's crew came at around 9 AM (right around when he said they would) and immediately went to work. In about 7 hours, they had removed the old fence, put in the new one, and removed all the old fencing. They cut the pickets into the dip right on site. They picked up after themselves pretty well, but there was quite a bit of dirt pulled up that is scattered around the new fence. Sort of unavoidable, but unfortunately we have a puppy that loves to eat it, and it's the nasty red clay dirt that seems to be everywhere in Montgomery County. I didn't really expect them to be out there picking it all up though. Overall, a very good experience with this company, and we would recommend using them.

There was some misunderstanding at first on what the fence should look like. I may not have been explicit enough in describing what I wanted. They put up part of the fence when I asked them to stop the work as it did not conform to what I wanted, which they did. In talking about the problem with Mr. Rogers,who was very amenable and professional, we came to an agreement right away.. Work could not start until I returned from a trip, at which time Mr. Rogers made sure that he understood what the fence should look like by showing me a sample. I am now very pleased with the look and workmanship.

An excellent experience.The company responded promptly to our call, and sent someone out immediately to provide an estimate. Once we decided on going ahead with the project, they were equally responsive in scheduling and completely the work.

We had an appointment scheduled and took the day off to do the estimate. 45 min after our appointment time we contacted the owner to find out if the weather had delayed his arrival (snow). He apologized and admitted he forgot our appointment as he was out doing snow removal. We plan to reschedule the estimate based solely on the positive reviews from Angie's List and hope that punctuality won't be an issue the second time.

Everyone at Phoenix Fence was really a pleasure to work with. Jeff, the owner, even came by to check on the job and talked with me about it. I had asked them to fix the gates, which were hanging crooked, and he had me pick up a plank of pine and a plank of cedar of the same size. The cedar felt half the weight! Our gates are very big, so he said that they should have never been built out of pine, they should have been cedar (the fence was built by another company...let's call them "Short Fence"), and that's why they were starting to hang crooked. I decided to go ahead and have them build replacement gates out of cedar, which they did that same day. So far they have been up for months and they do not appear to have budged. I just wish I had had Phoenix build the fence for me to begin with!
