The Design Expo - Flooring Center of Bowie

Description of Work: I recently purchased a home and desired to replace the existing carpeting with hardwood floors. I know that hardwood floors are expensive so I decided to shop around in order to make a sound decision. Initially I walked into the Design Expo Flooring Center of Bowie after reading the reviews on Angie's list. To my pleasure the reviews were correct. I met with Gene and he explained the different types of species, milling processes and finishes for hardwood. He showed me a lot of samples and gave me good advice, so I requested that he send someone out to provide me with an estimate. He also provided me with samples to take home to help me decide on a color. During my in-store visit, Scott popped in to pick up some papers and headed off to another appointment. He quickly acknowledged me when he entered the store and asked if Gene was taking care of me. Really personable guys. They made me feel comfortable right away. A couple of days later, Scott came to my home to provide me with an estimate. Again, I was educated on the pros on cons of the types of species that I was interested in. It was very helpful to have people who were patient while educating me on the ins and outs of hardwood flooring. I did not select Design Expo to complete the work due to the fact that the pricing was a bit high for my budget. In their defense, I did not give them the opportunity to compete with the company that I did select. I'm sure that they would have worked with me. They seem like really honest, genuine businessmen. I will definitely return to them when I plan on tiling my basement. Thanks Design Expo for the excellent service you provided me even if it was for a short period.
