+ -1 moreThe job went well from beginning to end. When I called the company, I spoke with a very knowlegeable person who quoted me a price for a three story house. She said the company would come out the following week and that I did not need to be home. I was not home when the company came, but they performed the work, gathered up all the debris from the gutters and left them in a recyclable bag near the curb. They left a note in my door describing the work that was performed. It rained two days later and the gutters worked fine.
Description of Work: This contractor cleaned my gutters and dwnspouts. In addition they flushed the gutters and downspouts, tightened loose nails and checked the ridgewent and roof.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. Three workers came cleaned the leaves out of the gutters. They used a stick to clear the downspouts. They checked the roof and looked for any loose gutters. The whole job took 30-40 minutes. They left the area clean and bagged the leaves.

+ -1 moreA crew came out and cleaned 3 bags of leaves and stuff out of the gutters. Bagged the material and left it neatly by the curb for pick up. Since the weather was predicted to go below freezing they cleaned out the downspouts with a high powered blower.

+ -1 moreThey did an awesome job. I recently purchased a home and hired them to come do a thorough cleaning before I moved in. They arrived about 5 min early and cleaned from top to bottom. They cleaned and wiped down all the cabinets, appliances, floors, they even removed paint from floor from where I was painting the walls. When they left, the house looked brand new. I will definitely use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreI called Reliable Cleaning on Monday and asked if they could clean gutters on Thursday. I also asked them to confirm appointment and call before arriving with a time frame. I received a phone call Wed confirming work for Thursday and I received a call at 8:30 am Thursday informing me that the team would arrive between 9:30 and 10:30am. Team arrived promptly at 9:30. I asked them to place corner gutter screens I had purchased. They performed all the work as specified quickly and efficiently. The team leader, Siegfried, also told me that I was missing the end caps on my ridgevents and the roofing shingles did not extend a foot under the ridgevents as should have been done. He suggested I call the roofer to correct the problem. I was most appreciative of the professionalism displayed and the work performed. I would definitely contract with Reliable Cleaning again.

+ -1 moreDealing with Reliable Cleaning was amazing! They were pleasant, prompt and provided options for future maintenance. We had compared costs with other companies and found them reasonable, generally beating their competitors' prices. I recently have had to deal with several home maintenance companies for a variety of replacement or repair issues and by far made this chore a breeze. ..no appointments too difficult to schedule or worse, missed. No need to wait while they go back to get equipment that should have been brought initially or for a repeated visit for ordered parts.We definitely recommend them and will use them again!
Description of Work: We had our gutters cleaned. This is the second year we have used Reliable Cleaning Co. to clean our gutters. The office staff and gutter cleaners are prompt, professional and polite. Reliable Cleaning Co has a tree trimming service that removes limbs near the gutters which costs an additional $19.00. We were so impressed with their service last year that we added our second home and received a discount. Although we list this company's standard fee of $89.00, we actually paid $74 per house plus the $19.00 for tree trimming at one home for a bargain $167.00 for both properties. We definitely will continue to use Reliable Cleaning Co

+ -1 moreCalled on Thursday for much needed gutter cleaning before Hurricane Irene. Office workers were helpful and offered to call the work crew to see if they could make it to my house before the weekend. The guys came out in the rain on Friday and performed the service. I wasn't home for it, but during the storm the gutters worked great. All in all a good experience with a fair price.

I could tell they had done a thorough job because we had a rainstorm later that week and the gutters handled the water much better than they had earlier. I was very pleased with the work and my interaction with the company. I also decided to use them for home cleaning, which I wrote about in a separate report.

I found the company on Angie's List on Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011, emailing them requesting an estimate for extensive gutter cleaning service in the District of Columbia as soon as possible. The company responded to my email on the following morning, inviting me to call with more details of the work needed. I called that same morning and, after describing the condition of my gutters, was given an estimate of $69.00 for the requested service. The person with whom I spoke then explained that their crews were all busy at that time and that I would be contacted as soon as a crew became available. On Thursday morning, August 11, 2011, at about 9:30 a.m., I received a call from the company indicating that a crew could come to my home and perform the requested work between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. that day. In fact, the crew arrived at 10:15 a.m that day, and did a thorough, efficient job of cleaning my gutters in 30 minutes time. The workmen also gave me an informal report of their inspection of my roof, which had contributed to the debris found in my gutters. They also did a most professional job of cleaning up after they had completed their work. Finally, I was charged the $69.00 as estimated earlier and was allowed to mail my check in to the company rather than pay the workmen themselves.
Description of Work: This company did a fine job of cleaning the gutters of my house, which had not been cleaned in almost two years.

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful. My wife had been out of town and I wanted her to return to a clean house. Reliable Cleaning arrived on time and went right to work. We have four dogs who shed which did not phase the team at all. They worked for about three hours and transformed the house. As the kitchen counters were covered with various bags and boxes, I did not expect the team to clean them, but they moved everything and completely cleaned the kitchen. They cleaned on top of the refrigerator (also covered with stuff) and the stovetop. They also cleaned the microwave. They worked quickly and did a great job.
Description of Work: They cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed the carpets, mopped the hardwood and tile floors, cleaned the kitchen counters and cabinets and dusted throughout the house.

+ 0 moreWe have used this company at least three or more times to clean the gutters on our 3 story house. Once we explained that we wanted the debris bagged, not thrown to the ground, they have done so, done a good job and placed the large bags of debris into our garbage cans. We are satisfied with their work and plan to use them again this fall. We found their price to be very reasonable compared to some of the other estimates we received for the same job.
Description of Work: We live in a three-story house that is flanked by several very tall Tulip Poplar trees that drop flowers and sap in the spring and many many leaves over the course of the fall. As a result we are in need of gutter cleaning at least 3 times a year in order to avert water coming into the house due to back ups in the gutters. With the exception of one time, they have promptly responded to our request for a crew to come out. They did a great job left the areas(gutters and ground below) clean.

+ -1 moreThey were scheduled to come at 8am and I didn't receive a call from them until about 8:45am. They then had a terribly hard time finding the house even though I was on the phone guiding them. All in all, they didn't make it to my house until 9:15am. My house had no furniture and they did not need to clean any appliances so I thought it would all go fairly quickly with a thorough clean. They seemed to be cleaning thoroughly but since they ran so late, I needed to leave for another engagement as soon as they finished and did not have time to fully inspect. When I came back though, all my light fixtures were dusty, the bahtroom upstairs still had mildew on the wall that was easily removed, the laundry room had not been touched (dirt on the floor, cobwebs), there was grease on the oven hood and there was dust hanging from under the cabinet that's above the fridge. Not to mention after telling the main cleaner no less than 5 times that I was going to keep a set of plastic plates and cups and not to throw them away and she threw them away anyway. It was trash day so by the time I returned the trash had already been picked up. For the amount of money I paid, it was as if nothing was done at all. With all those things wrong in a relatively small home(3 bed, 2.5 bath townhome) and a crew of four cleaners, I would not expect them to have missed so many things. I will definitely never hire them again.

+ -1 moreI called on a Wednesday and requested an estimate to clean the gutters and install covers on my townhome. The representative quoted me a price for both services, and instead of scheduling an exact date to perform the services, she stated that they'd do it during the and quot;early partand quot; of the following week, weather permitting. I agreed to the terms, and waited for them to show-up. They finally showed-up the following Friday. I happened to be home, and the crew knocked on the door and let me know that they were there to do the work. I have no idea when they and quot;finished,and quot; but I can tell from looking at the gutter on the overhang above my front door that they definitely did not and quot;flushand quot; the gutters as advertised, nor did they install the gutter covers as I requested. The invoice that they left me stated only that they'd cleaned the gutters. I got a voice-mail message from someone at the company the following morning apologizing because the crew had not installed the covers, and asking me to call to clarify whether or not I want the covers installed on both the front and rear of my home. I specified during the time of my initial call that they were to be installed on both the front and rear; however, given my experience with their and quot;cleaningand quot; and their overall lack of professionalism, I will not be asking them back to install the gutter guards. ************************ Update: The company contacted me after I posted my original report and offered me a full-refund. I have therefore adjusted my overall grade and grade for professionalism, as their efforts to rectify the situation were commendable.

+ -1 moreThis was an exceptional experience. Their normal practice is to schedule a cleaning--you don't have to be home--and leave an invoice. I wanted to be home for this first cleaning in case additional repairs were needed and to see how the work went. The company carefully scheduled to come at a time I'd be home. They did a great job, explained everything, and even chopped up a large tree branch that had fallen and that I was going to eventually get around to chopping up and putting out in the trash. They chopped it into pieces and bundled it for the trash. It wasn't even part of the job! Excellent work, very clear explanations, and a good price. I will definitely use this company again.

+ 0 moreWe were very impressed with the services performed by Reliable Cleaning, et al. We found them to be very professional, prompt, detail-oriented. They offer a whole suite of services and we will definitely call upon them for future service.
Description of Work: We noticed that rainwater was not running through and down the gutters as it should and became concerned that the gutters were clogged. Upon calling 4 different gutter cleaning servicing companies for estimates, I chose Reliable Cleaning (aka Petria, Inc., t/a We Love to Clean). Although Reliable was not the lowest estimate, I chose them because of the good-natured woman who answered the phone. Two days later, Siegfried came to our home to access the gutters. Upon his inspection, he discovered that the gutters were, in fact, fairly clean; however, the roof shingles--on both the back and front of our townhome--that hangover the end of the roof and allow rain to flow into the gutters were damaged and water pooled in crevices. Fortunately, no water has ever seeped into our home. Siegfried took photos of the damaged shingles and pools of water and emailed to me. It was very beneficial to actually see the damage to be able to access the steps to repair it. He informed my boyfriend, who was home at the time, that the rear and front hanging shingles should be replaced and the front and back gutters reinstalled and corrected and advised that he would forward an estimate for the repair work, as well as an estimate for installing gutter covers, which he promptly emailed to me that evening. Suffice to say, that the total cost for the repair work and the gutter covers was way below than what we were expecting to pay. I gave the go-ahead for work to be done and, on the following day, Reliable Cleaning came back to our home and performed the services. Later that evening, I received a follow up email confirming that the work was done as specified in our estimate with detailed information on exactly what was performed. We were very impressed with the post-repair confirmation email. Earlier that very same evening, a major storm blew through the area with heavy rains and causing damage to area homes. We are very glad that we had the gutters repaired and used Reliable Cleaning to perform the services!
