Went better than expected.

No show.

This is the second time we've used Cecelia for home repairs, and she was just as great as the first time. She is punctual, very communicative and honest about what she can and can't do. For example, we wanted her to repair some damage to our laminate floor. She told us she wasn't very experienced in doing that kind of repair work but referred us to a colleague who could do it. Cecelia is also very willing to work around our needs. We just had our hardwood floors refinished, and she had no problem removing her shoes and avoiding areas that were still curing while she did her work. Finally, she makes sure we know exactly what she did. Part of the work was to dig down 2-3 feet along our foundation and seal it to stop a water leak in our basement. She did this work while we were away from the house, but she called us while doing the work and took "before and after" pictures of what she did.

Initially I thought the job was done well. However, a few days later during high winds I noticed - as did others - that the lattice was beginning to "pucker" and there was a lot of old wood debris in my little yard. Keeping in my mind that she offered a 90 day warranty on her work, I called her back and told her of my concerns. She ask that I send her an e-mail and she would call me that weekend. I received no call or response to my e-mail. I've since e-mailed her again and still have received no response. On good faith, I paid for the job in full and now it looks like I'm going to have to find someone to go behind her work and rectify it.

Cecilia Moore is wonderful. She was extremely prompt (on a Saturday no less), finished the work in record time, and was even nice to the kids (who followed her around the house as she worked).

We had a great experience. The contractor for Handywoman Services, Cecilia Moore, speaks fluent English and Spanish, so there was no communication barrier between her and her painters. My partner and I speak only a little Spanish, but we all communicated fine either through Cecilia or through one of the painters whose English served him well. The painters performed the work to our highest expectations--it took them 2 days total. The walls turned out very smooth, and the coating was crisp and neat. The painters were both extremely professional and courteous and gave us assurance that, when we were not there, they were doing what they were being paid to do. There were no messes, nothing was damaged, and they cleaned up nicely after themselves before they left.

It went great. Cecilia performed all the work efficiently and to our highest satisfaction. The apartment looks a lot better, and we are confident the repairs will last for the next owner--they weren't done "half way." She did an especially good job on constructing a new wood electrical cover. It blends right into the wall and doesn't draw the eye to what's hiding behind it. Wall HVAC units are ugly enough, so anything that tidies up the space is welcome. She took great care to make sure nothing was damaged and that the place was cleaned up after the work was complete.

Absolutely terrific! Cecelia showed up at the agreed-upon time and was prepared to work as long as it took. Because of prior commitments on my part, the available time the first day (about 1.5 hours) was not sufficient to complete all of the work, although she did finished the first 2 jobs of the 4. She was quite happy to come back the next day to complete the rest of the work. She was very professional, knew exactly what needed to be done, and worked quite efficiently. She was pleasant, she cleaned up after herself, and the amount she charged was quite reasonable. I will most definitely ask her to do additional work, and will recommend her to my friends.

I was very satisfied with the work that Cecilia performed. She arrived before the scheduled time of visit, and was very professional. Cecilia also gave me a military discount, which was much appreciated. I will definitely use her services in the future.

Cecelia was very good with communicating when she would arrive, etc. She arrived on time and after we went over the tasks, got right to work. She cleaned up the work area. We discussed some other work and when she realized that she didn't have the resources to do the job, she referred me to an associate who could do the work.

This is a fantastic contractor. Ms. Moore was pleasant on the phone when hiring her, was able to perform the work two days later, and arrived on time. She was friendly and capable. She completed the work that day and in the time-frame/price promised. She also cleaned up when she left, which was very nice. Ms. Moore guarantees her work for 90 days, and when we had a small problem, she arrived the next day to fix it at no additional cost. We will definitely be hiring her for additional work (i.e., fix a leaking wall in our basement and remove an old antenna from our roof.)

Very, very well. I liked that she is a very good communicator. She quickly returned my inquiry, gave me a quote she held to and came when she said she would. A big plus is that she is very friendly and very customer oriented. She charged $300 for two boxes. It would've been $175 for one.

Everything went very well. When the door proved to be decayed she gave us good advice. She was very clear about what she could do and what she couldn't. The things she could do she did well, and she didn't attempt the ones she couldn't do. When she was going to be a few minutes late she called to let us know. She communicated very well and let us know what she planned and what the alternatives were. Her manner was very friendly, professional, and competent.

The day we originally scheduled was threatening rain so Cecelia called to reschedule for the next day. My initial feeling was "Uh-oh, here we go" but true to her word she was there the next day (without a lot of "fanfare" i.e., not a lot of calling saying, I'm on the way; I'm running late; I'm lost, etc.) as promised and the job was done. The mailbox looks good and I am satisfied with the job they did.

It went really well. Ms. Moore was straightforward and professional on the telephone and in person. She came to assess the work before giving an estimate. She explained how she would approach both jobs and brought all of the necessary tools and equipment. She asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted and didn't want and discussed the feasibility with me. She is enthusiastic about her work and personable. She clearly in my experience knows what she is doing. I will be contacting her again to assist with future house projects.

Cecelia was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
