They came out and to give an estimate. Said they would send the estimate to me that night. Never heard back from them. They totally wasted my time.

Contractor Canceled appt just now at the time I was expecting them to come in and clean 2 wood stoves. Very disappointed because my time is as valuable as their time. Next appointment is a week out. Well, took the day off and I guess I owe myself an Irish Coffee at the Kilaney House for this disappointment. Going to think about whether I should move on to another company thats why the yes for the hire again. Uncertain. Dodson Farm

Company was responsive to request for a quote. Work was scheduled for the following week. Workers showed up on time and completed the job quickly.

A painter informed be that my chimney crown had deteriorated and needed repair/replacement. I contacted multiple companies to assess the job and make proposals. The folks at First Class Chimney were very professional from initial contact, scheduling appointments and scheduling the job. There proposal was straight forward and a greater value than other company's I spoke to. They performed the work and I am extremely happy with their work and my experience doing business with them. I highly recommend them for consideration.

The technicians redid the bricks so that you couldn't even tell they were repaired. It looked beautiful. They put in a new liner in the chimney and waterproofed it. They redid the inside of the fireplace to bring it up to code and put in a chain that easily opens and closes the flue. It looks so good and easy that I may decide to use the fireplace again. They redid the pipes in the basement so the fumes from the boiler and hot water heater went up the chimney in the correct way. There had been water damage and they corrected the damage and closed off the hole in the wall (foundation) and made a bigger hole in the correct place so that everything was up to code. They were polite, efficient and worked very hard to get the work done in the promised two days. I have interviewed many companies and found this company to be straight-forward in telling me what they would do and didn't try to tell me they were giving me a "good deal." Rather I feel they gave me an honest estimate on what needed to be done and didn't try to pressure me into using their company. They did give me 10% off because I was an Angie's List customer. What company to use was a hard decision for me because I knew nothing about chimney repair. Because so much of the repair was inside the chimney I couldn't tell what they had done. Based on my experience I feel they did a good job. I don't have a picture of the repaired chimney but it looks great--better than it did before the bricks fell. If someone wants more detail I can copy exactly what they did from the invoice. Also, maybe the company can show a picture of the finished product. Since it is summer time I haven't had any experience using the chimney but will let you know how things work out during the winter.

Company was very professional and was timely with the appointment. They cleaned my chimney and flue thoroughly and provided me pictures of the before and after. Would definitely hire again for my next cleaning.

Repairs went well, cleaning took about 20 minutes, repairs took about an hour, sent pictures to my email and were very professional. Will be hiring again for future cleanings.

The service person was very honest and didn’t charge us for fixing it because there was nothing actually wrong. It just got stuck. He got it to close immediately and didn’t charge us. While he was looking in the fireplace/chimney, he did see something that will need fixing, but he didn’t make it seem urgent.

The men who came were very neat and very thorough. They explained what the problems were and even showed me pictures. They did not pressure me to use their company to complete the repairs which need to be done, but they did give me an estimate.
