EDDIE CONSTRUCTION

Description of Work: We initially contacted Eddie to replace the kitchen floor but ended up having the entire house remodelled. It is a 1906 rowhouse on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, which was last only partially (and cheaply) redone in the mid-1980's. We started with the inside, replacing both the half-bath downstairs and the main one upstairs, then the kitchen (all new with granite countertops, new cabinets, stainless steel sink, faucet, and appliances). Ceramic tile was installed in the kitchen. All walls were replastered, primed, and painted. Hardwood floors were installed downstairs and in the the hallway and master bedroom upstairs. All doors, locks, and handles were replaced. New window blinds were installed. Eddie also installed bluestone on the rear deck outside, and replaced the flashers, gutter, downspout, and rerouted a severely clogged drain line to drain in the alley, cleverly hiding the pipe under the edge of the rear yard. The house was also tuckpointed, primed, and repainted.

Description of Work: He re bricked my front walk way, and built an area in my back yard with stone slabs.

Description of Work: After repeated problems with plaster on our century-old house, Ilir Rexhepi helped us decide on a solution, install flashing outside and completely redo the living room and kitchen walls. He installed wainscoting and crown moulding, in keeping with the historic character of the neighborhood houses, and finished and painted everything. He also removed and reinstalled the window treatments, and did related projects to produce a perfect finish.

Description of Work: With Ilir Rexhepi's help, we completely renovated our new (to us) home, from taking the basement apartment all the way back to the studs and reframing termite-damaged wood, then redirecting ductwork and removing a wall, opening the kitchen to the living room, installing insulation and drywall throughout, replacing woodwork and installing crown molding, removing and rebuilding both the bathroom and kitchen, installing appliances, replacing the front door and closet doors, and painting throughout.

Description of Work: Painted concrete front porch and steps, and concrete steps leading to basement.

Description of Work: Our problem was that there was a gap at the bottom of our garage door through which rats were entering our garage. The problem was due to a combination of two problems: poorly installed garage door, and gaps in the concrete ramp into the garage. Ilir repositioned our electric garage door to bring it closer and more flush with the floor. He then dug through existing concrete and relaid the concrete to make a near perfect seal with the bottom of the garage door.

Description of Work: Mr. Rexhepi replaced rotten floor boards on a front porch, built hand rails for back steps, replaced garage doors, and relaid some concrete of the garage floor.
