I worked with Andy. His first price included a lot more optional work and was very high. I asked him to refine the scope to replace all sofits, fascia boards, fascia wrap, install new 5" gutters in a single family Levitt home in Bowie. His second price beat all of the others. Part way through, I asked Andy if we could also replace the rake boards on the garage. 30 minutes later he came out, gave me a price, and the work was completed while the rest of the work was being done. It took about 3 weeks for the work to start due to the weather, and about 3 days to complete. Only complaint, Area Roofing is not pro-active when it comes to telling you their crew will be coming the next day.

They did a very good job. I didn't have any problems. They had did my sisters a few years ago and this time they did mine and my fathers. I got the good roof. I only had it a couple of months as far as I can tell it's a great roof. I would recommend them also. They did an excellent job.

They had to come back to fix something with the gutters after work was completed but is fine now.

I had been pleased with the workmanship, but of late, I developed a roof leak and the company has come out at least three times. I was told that the flashing around the chimney needed to be replaced. This was done, but I continue have a roof leak from the very same entry point as that Area Roofing & Siding cannot pinpoint. This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do in order to get this problem solved. I was told to go up into the addict during a rain storm and see if I can isolate the leak myself and let Area Roofing and Siding know. I have not be able to pinpoint the entry point of the leak in spite of trying. Unfortunately, I am unable to adjust my "rating" until this has been resolved.

A couple of years prior to that, I requested a quote for when shingles blew off my roof and they were the highest priced contract. They wanted $725 to repair what cost me only $150 from a reputable contractor. I WOULD NOT recommend these folks and would say hold onto your wallet since they seems to quote very high-priced quotes. I'm don't understand how they can stay in business.

As new homeowners, we were nervous about dealing with our first big "house" problem, leaking skylights in the living room. I found this company on Angie's list, called them, and their representative Ron came out to assess and quote the project within a day or two. Ron was very pleasant and professional, and provided us with several alternative solutions to the problem at different price points, and helped us to understand the pros and cons of each solution. Once we'd selected an appropriate solution, Ron scheduled the work as soon as possible, and also came out and temporarily sealed the leak as we waited for our turn on the calendar. The work got done on time, at a competitive price, and now our house doesn't leak anymore. I plan on using this company again in the future.

Ron Hare came out to the house to explained every thing very well as to what was involved in doing the work. He offered me various options in terms of how much the job would cost; based on what quality of product I was will to pay for. The work was done in one day with no problem. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work that was done. I did buy the Golden Pledge Warranty package for $632.00 for my personal assurance. Their price was reasonable when compared to other estimates that I had gotten. William.

It went well. I used the installer that he referred me to and they did an outstanding job.

I have an old home in a historic neighborhood and they did everything to preserve the original craftmanship and quality. Came back after skylights and air conditioning were installed to finish flashing. All was done on time. Do hire them in the off season: they started work in the fall and completed it in December. We avoided the summer months.

They were fantastic. They were very punctual and kind. They also replaced my neighbor's roof the same day and she was very happy as well.

Quality of the materials and the work was excellent; estimate was received promptly (on February 25) despite lots of other winter-storm related work in the area. Work was scheduled and accomplished promptly thereafter. Woiuld use them again if roofing or siding repairs were needed. Ask for Andy.

They showed up on time. They did an excellent job with the service and clean-up. They were very courteous and easy to talk to.

Kevin was great. He came to my rescue on two occasions and I am extremely grateful. First, I called him to get a roof certification on a property being purchased by my real estate client. I had called several roofing companies prior to getting Area Roofing from Angie's list. One promised me he was going and never showed up. Kevin provided me with an invoice listing exactly what he was going to do, I provided it to the seller and he was there when he said he would be. He provided me with a report that was satisfactory to the buyer and the seller. Secondly, I called him in a panic the morning of settlement (12:00 Noon) for an estimate on another repair the seller was not able to complete. He came through for me on that. The company is very professional when you call (someone answers the phone) and that's important, especially if you need services as soon as possible. Thanks again Area Roofing. Lillian

AREA did a great job and were very professional. I am quite pleased with the results and would not hesitate to contract with them again.

Initially, I wanted to repair the leaking roof and contacted several vendors and most of them wouldn’t even return my call stating that they don’t do repair work during the high season – only replacement; however Mr. Ralls, the sales person, was very responsive and professional whenever I have contacted him. He gave me two quotes, one for repair and another for replacement; after further investigation and realizing how bad the roof was and extensive amount of leaking I had I decided to replace everything. Of the few vendors that were open to repair and provided repair and replacement quotes, Area roofing easily beat their prices by at least 30%. Mr. Ralls managed the project professional and diligently and things were done on time where he was able to successfully manage several “gotchas” that we ran into, such as the gutter truck ran out of materials as they cut the gutters and had to return later. As the work and material were guaranteed, I had another rain leak and called Mr. Ralls for service; upon his inspection we determined it was a false alarm and the leak came from a top floor side window that needed repair. I would certainly use them for any future projects.

They did a great job and were on time. I would highly recommend them.

They arrived about 30 minutes early and worked all day. Foreman on site with headphone walkie talkie setup to keep in constant contact with crew on roof. Foreman had everything under control during the whole job time. Making sure cleanup was ongoing, supplies were moved to roof on time, all tools available at ll times. Most of crew never left job site when they broke for lunch they ate on-site in a short amount of time. Crew was very quite just steadily working not talking or goofing off at all. This company has completed many jobs in the neighborhood. They a few crew members on ground at all times to ensure safety of homeowners during job and doing cleanup. Could have gotten a cheaper price with other companies but happy with service, knew exactly what we were paying for, no surprises or last minute additional charges. Great company, great job.

The account manager was very friendly and professional. He showed up promptly and even returned once the work was completed to take my husband and I on the roof to see the work that was done. I would definitely use this company again (but hoping no other natural disasters force me to have my roof replaced any time soon ;-)) But would surely recommend this company.

The work was fine. They were prompt, on time and the pricing was great. The only thing was the problem is that the guy that who did the most of the filing was the guy who was on site. So, they did have some additional trash some of it went to my neighbors yard but they were great about getting it up. They have to come back of course to fix a couple of things but there was no problem. So, so far so good.

Area Roofing is great! We used them years ago for siding replacement and they did a great job. When roof was damaged by hail, we called them. Very honest, very professional, very reasonable prices. Family owned. A pleasure to work with.

Spend time talking with us about options. Very thorough. Scheduled and completed quickly. Acted professionally. Cleaned up nicely.

They were excellent and many of my neighbors also used them. The contact person was Joshua, he was on site, and he did everything and did it for my neighbors too. I did my roofing and another neighbor’s roof; he gave me a discount because he did two. Then five other neighbors in my neighbor hood who used him about a year or two years after we did it and he came in a bettered everybody else's prices. As a matter of fact he bettered the price of somebody who used him, who helped him for a long time. In the process they damaged a gutter and I had him to repair it. I called him up a year later they came back and replaced it with no problems. They were good, they were on time, did everything that they said they were going to do and their price was reasonable.
