Tri-County did an excellent job repairing an underground water leak for my well system. Raymond (the lead technician) was very experienced and quickly diagnosed the problem and handled the repair. Thank you Tri-County.

We had a well pump go bad and I called Tri-County Pumps. They were busy from the weekend overflow of work, but said they would try to get someone there as soon as they could. They had someone here the very next morning, and the pump was replaced by that afternoon. We have water again, and I am SO happy with the service I got from Kenny and Shawn. I would Highly recommend them 100%. Thanks Tri-County and Kenny/Shawn!

I woke up to find out I didn't have any water. Tri-County came out the same day and diagnosed the problem: a mouse had chewed through the wire to the pump in the well. The pump was 24 years old which is beyond the normal life expectancy, so I had that replaced also. All work was done the same day.

I work abroad and my wife and kids were at home when suddenly the water stopped working. We didn’t know what to do or who to call. My wife tried talking to electricians and plumbers but none of them could fix it and said it was a well pump issue and they couldn’t help. We are new home owners and not familiar with these things so my family went without water for almost 2 weeks until... I randomly Googled “well pump companies” and saw that “Tri County Pumps” had amazing reviews so I called them. They were the kindest and most understanding company I’ve ever worked with. They got there exactly when needed and fix everything and had qualified electricians and plumbers onsite while fixing our pump and did everything step by step with us so we could understand. Their entire staff from owners to admin to on-the-job workers were beyond amazing to work with and they made it so easy. Even from 1,000’s of miles away. I wish I could give them more stars. God bless you all!!

The service was suspended without notification to the customer. Frankly, I would not have purchased the new unit from them without assurance of continuing services via salt delivery. In addition, I was not contacted in the manner I requested after spending 10 mins waiting from an overseas line. Just seem to care very little once the money has been spent on a new system.

This company made a major error while repairing our well & pump that caused use to have to purchase an entirely new (and costly) water filtration system. When my husband attempted to explain the error and resulting costs to us, the representative refused to listen and then hung up. They also sold us over-priced equipment and services we didn't need. I haven't come across a more unethical, unscrupulous and rude residential business in all the time we've lived in this area (over 30 years). Our recommendation is that you do not reward them with your business. Is there an F- in the rating scale? If so, I would select it for this review.

They were able to schedule service for the next day. Eric arrived when scheduled and was professional through out. He did a quick check of the septic tank inlet and outlet pipes to make sure there were no possible concerns, once done he went right to pumping. Once everything was done, he cleaned up any mess he made. The service was great and I would definitely hire again.

We woke up to no water and called Tri County at 7:30 and someone was here by 11:00. They were professional and helpful, talked us through all our options and recommended our best course of action. We could have saved some money and just replaced the wiring, but since we were already paying to have the pump pulled up and the old pump was very, very old, we decided to be proactive and go ahead and replace it. They had the water up and running by noon. They talked us through our water restrictions for the next few days while the well water settles and answered all our questions. Their fees were toward the high side, but we felt it was worth it to support a local company and to have to personal guarantee from a local company. We would definitely use them again, we are actually having them come back out to give us an estimate on a new water filtration system after the water calms down from the new pump!

Unfortunately, in today's marketplace, customer service and professional integrity are often lacking in many businesses. I am happy to say this is not the case with Tri County Pump Services. Our well pump had failed, and we had been out of water for several days while I tried desperately to find someone to come look at the problem. When I called Tri County, they immediately scheduled me service, even though they had an extremely busy schedule that day. When my technicians arrived (Jeff and Cody) they quickly found the problem, explained what was wrong and offered me a few solutions for repairs. Thy did not pressure me into buying something more than what I needed, however, they did offer me some very practical advice based on my needs and financial situation. They didn't do anything until I understood the situation, was comfortable with the solution, and had all my questions and concerns addressed. While they performed the repairs, they were both polite and personable, and respected both myself and my property. These young men are a refreshing example of what real customer service should be like. The final cost was exactly what I was quoted, and based on previous repairs with other companies, was more than fair for the job I had done. I have other repairs needed on my hot water heater and other plumbing concerns and have schedule then to return next week for another service call. I appreciate the attention to detail, pride taken in their work, polite-friendly staff, and quality of the repairs.

We had a bad leak at the well casing and a broken water hydrant which made a huge muddy mess in the yard. When I spoke to Tri-County on the phone they thought that maybe the pitless adapter had sprung a leak. A crew of two guys showed up, they were an hour and a half later than they said, but they DID call and tell us, so it was no problem. Once they dug up around the casing they saw that the well pipe leading to the house is what was leaking. They fixed that leak, removed a redundant valve that controlled the hydrant and then replaced the hydrant with a new one. They had me turn on the pump and tested it for leaks before back-filling. They left the dirt a little mounded up because it is going to settle and warned me not to be driving my lawn mower over the area where they repaired the pipe. They did minimal damage to the lawn with their backhoe and finished up the job in about two hours. They gave us an estimate of $700-$800 for just the leak and then had them add fixing the hydrant to the job which they told me would be an additional $145. They kept the price of the job to the low side of their estimate so I am pretty satisfied. I'm very satisfied with the work they performed and would recommend them to anyone needing well and pump work.

The repair restored the water supply, but the guy never told my wife how to deal with the dark brown water that was coming from all faucets and toilets in the house. He simply presented his bill and left. (I was at work.) This kind of job naturally stirs up massive amounts of iron oxide and other crud in the well, which then is pumped into the house and through the entire plumbing system. It will ruin clothes washed in it. Probably not good for water heaters and ice makers. I called the company to complain and to ask for advice on how to clean up the water supply. They said to hook up a hose to the pressure tank and drain it to the outdoors. They also said their technician should have done this. When I said he hadn't, I was challenged with, "Well, I can't say whether he did that or not. I wasn't there." In other words, their response to the complaint was to challenge the veracity of my complaint.

Had a leak in the water pressure tank on Sunday. Called about 9am and there was someone here by 10. Replaced the tank, had to rework some of the pipe, installed a new switch and pressure gage. Adjusted some pressure points and was done in two hours. Great work and cleaned up afterwards. The materials were higher than if I went to Lowes or Home Depot, but the fact that it was a Sunday and they were here within an hour was well worth the expense.

They came out and pumped, he stuck his head in and said everything looked fine. No proper inspection like I hired them for. They should have looked at the septic field and done a lot more. I hired them for a proper inspection and was willing to pay for it. I got nothing more than a standard pump out service. Now it's too late to have one done within the requirements of my contract and have the seller pay for any needed repairs. The real kicker was to then get home and find their price list on their website. I was charged $20 over the listed price.

The company was in and done with the project, diagnosis to repair, in less than 30 minutes. The breakage was correctly repaired but I feel they overcharged me. The total charge was approximately $461.00 for 30 minutes of total time at my residence. $350 of the charge was a well pump pulling fee, to pull the well pump up to identify the breakage. When I talked to the owner about this, he stated that this $350 fee is the standard pull fee regardless how far the well needs to be pulled. In my case, it was approximately only 20 feet down in the well. I feel they just charge whatever they want.

My water went out at 5pm on a weekday. I called the company that's worked on the water system before. They said they couldn't send anyone over until the next morning, and promised to get someone to my house with a replacement pump first thing in the morning. Based on my description, they said the problem was likely a check valve, but the'd bring a replacement pump in case it was needed. My wife didn't want to spend an evening without water, so I called Tri-State, who sent someone over right away (at about 6pm). After looking over our system, the Tri-State rep indicated he thought the problem was with a check valve, but recommended replacing the pump since it likely overheated and suffered wear. Unfortunately, he didn't have a replacement pump for my system on his truck, and had to come back the next day after picking it up at a warehouse. I told him not to bother, since I already had the first company planning to come out, but the Tri-State rep said that their warranty was 5 years, which he thought the other company might not be able to match, and the price would be about $1800, which he explained was why they get so much business. My inclination was to go with the first company because it would save me a phone call, but I agreed to have Tri-State replace the pump the next day. The Tri-State personnel were skilled and professional, and did a quality job. Only after the work was completed did the rep tell me that he'd made a mistake - the warranty was only for 2 years (not 5), and the price was higher than he had estimated - it came to just under $2000. So while I think the job was top-notch, I was disappointed to take a hit on the warranty and the verbal estimate, both of which were criteria that I used to select Tri-State for the job in the first place.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to review us! We’re glad you had a good experience with Tri-County Pump Service and that we were able to resolve the problem. We apologize for the discrepancies between your estimate and final price. Customers are given prices (estimate) before any work is started. The reason the price is given as estimate is because we don't know exactly what will be needed until the pump is pulled out of the well. We try to use the minimum material required (which the estimate is based on), but sometimes for unforeseen reasons additional material has to be used. Tri-County Pump Service, is reputable company that has been providing reliable service for over 25 years, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you and your family in future years. Thanks, Daniel Barnette, Supervisor Tri-County Pumps

They came out to our place. We wanted them to put two feet riser in the septic tank, and bring it to the surface; so we didn't have to dig. They brought the wrong side. They were going to charge another $500 to go back and redo the work. They did their job correctly, and I didn't have any problem with them. I will use them again definitely. They have a long history, and quite experienced. They are one of the few highly recommended companies by the agents in the area.

The original pump installation went fine. They came out quickly and fixed the problem. However, the price was very high. Less than two years later, we started getting air in the lines and called Tri County to come look. The crew they sent out this time seemed much less experienced and didn't really seem to have a good understanding of our plumbing system. After wandering around for a few hours, they pulled the pump to see if that was the problem and said it "looked fine". They then said since they couldn't find anything else, it must be a leak in our water line and they gave us a price of $1800 to replace the water line. However, after they left, we realized the problem had gone away. No more air in the lines. A second plumber we called to get a price quote said that since it had stopped after they pulled the pump, he suspected there was a problem with the pump and pulling it had fixed it. Four months later, the problem is back. Since we were not impressed with the knowledge of the last Tri County crew, we called another plumber, Larry and Sons. They came out and took a look. Everyone we talked to at Larry and Sons had a lot more knowledge of what we were dealing with and felt fairly certain that it was the check valve on the pump. Since the pump is still under warranty, we felt that Tri County should replace it. They are refusing to do anything until we pay another $400 to have them come out and pull the pump. Even if they determine the pump is faulty, we still have to pay $400 for them to pull it out in order to replace it. So they have sold us faulty equipment for $1300, charged us $300 for a service call in which they misdiagnosed the problem and tried to get us to do another $1800 worth of work that probably wouldn't have fixed the problem. And now will not even consider replacing the warrantied pump without us paying another $400. In addition, their employees seemed very inexperienced and not very knowledgeable, and they have been very beligerant to us on the phone, basically telling us that if we won't pay the $400, we can find someone else to fix it. Which... we are.
Description of Work: Tri County installed a new well pump for us in 2008. In April of 2010, we started getting air in our lines, so we had them come out and look at that and they diagnosed a leaking water line from the well to the house and recommended that we replace the water line for $1800.

Hi Member, Thank you for taking the time to review Tri-County Pumps, and we are happy were able to resolve the above situation. We would appreciate a follow up review if you have time, with the situation now resolved. [UPDATE:] We (Tri-County) was called back to troubleshoot this same system on July 3, 2012. It was determined that as diagnosed on the first service call on April 24, 2010, there was still a leak in the ground. The customer asked Tri-County Pump Service to repair the leak.
