Please BEWARE. Unfortunately we have had a really bad experience like the other reviews on here. I have been asking around and apparently there are whole marinas in ocean city not using this company due to their poor undelivered services. Ocean city boat lifts has zero production coordination. I have had to follow up on the permit approvals, the ordering of the lift, the installation of the poles and now the installation of the lift. Each stage has been completely terrible. Permits were filed with the wrong municipality. Was never informed the lift arrived, the vendor they used for the pole install took 6 months to do. They refused to use another vendor. Now they are not installing the lift for several months. They use every excuse under the sun if why they don't work. I am now almost a year and a half later without a boat lift still. They have never reached out to me once with an update. I have had to follow up with them constantly. They required full payment of the lift, but yet refuse to install it taking well over a year. At this point I am now speaking to legal counsel to get my paid money back. I would recommend trying to use anyone but this company. Or call around to marinas in ocean city and hear for yourself

Unfortunately, our experience with Ocean City mirrors the bad experiences described in other reviews. We contracted to have a $14,000 jet ski lift built and suffered from extremely poor service and significant delays. In summary, the issues we faced are as follows: 1) After OC promised a 30 day delivery schedule, OC took over 90 days to deliver the lifts. 2) OC demanded an exorbitant $10,000 deposit, over 70% of the contract price, which tied up this money for over 90 days, knowing that they were not going to abide by their promised 30 day schedule. 3) OC’s employees were completely non responsive to our queries throughout the delay. 4) When they did communicate, OC provided false information as to when installation would occur. 5) Once OC received the lifts from the manufacturer, there was further delay in installation and OC failed to timely communicate with us about the planned installation. After the problems described above, the installation itself was poor. They installed the lifts knowing that there was not enough power to operate them safely and the lifts could not run reliably. When the electrical fuse tripped, rendering the lifts inoperable, they refused to address the problem. In sum, OC’s extremely poor service caused us to incur additional costs, lose interest income on tens of thousands of dollars (between new jet skis and lift deposit) and a lot of wasted time on our part. Fortunately, we found Chesapeake Boat Lifts, also on the Eastern Shore, who are much better to deal with and will get our business in the future.

Gave OC Boat Lift over $9000 in January 2020. 3 weeks ago they put in two pilings and left. Haven't seen them since. Every day is another excuse. Run, avoid, them at all costs. My boat is going in the water today. I will be sending them the bill for the new bottom paint I will need in the fall. If the lift isn't installed in the next few days, I will be asking for a refund. This is not the way to do business.

We spoke with Randy in August to remove old pilings and old boat lifts and install a new boat lift with 3 catwalks on risers on one side so that we could launch our kayaks. As he said he was busy during the season and we were not in a hurry, they agreed to complete the work in October. We had bought a new dock ladder we were going to install ourselves but when Randy saw it, he told us that it was too short for our dock and advised us to send it back and he would install a new ladder for us when he put in the boat lift. We thought he was throwing that in as part of the whole project. During installation, they were unable to remove one piling. We were charged $525 for removing 3 pilings but only credited $50 for the piling that they were unable to remove. We had to call and ask them to adjust that accordingly. We were then told that it would be better to have 2 risers on one side and 1 riser on the other. We took their word for it and allowed the change in work order. Come summer when we purchased our new boat, they told us to call them and they would be there to balance the lift with the boat. We called the week prior and told them the date and approximate time when we were picking up the boat. They told us it would be no problem, they have people in the area and someone could be right over on a moment's notice. So we called on our way to picking up the boat and then we called after we took possession. Suddenly everyone was too busy and they became very rude making us feel like we putting them out. We were stuck out on the water waiting for over 2 hours and since it was a brand new boat and we had no way to dock it otherwise. Meanwhile, they came and installed the dock ladder and they charged us both for the ladder and the installation even though it was clear that we were prepared to install our own ladder and only let them do it because we thought they were throwing it in as part of the project. After putting the boat on the lift, we immediately realized that the catwalk that they moved to the far side of the boat was unusable because we could not access it from the dock and it was too low to be accessed from the boat. We called and asked them to make it the same height as the other catwalks. They were too busy at the time, could we wait until mid-June. Called back mid-June, they completely forget. Yes, they would put in a riser for an extra $195. Since the original work order called for all 3 catwalks to be on risers and we were never credited for the 3rd riser that they did not install, we could not understand why we should be charged again for something we already paid for.
