Description of Work: Valerie represented my wife and I in a long distance transaction. We were in California and the house was in Maryland and while my wife had visited the property we were in California for most of the time. Valerie was in touch with us daily (sometimes more) with up to the minute details concerning the house and it was not an easy transaction. Valerie's skill negotiating the price and judging the seller's position was right on, getting us the best price possible and then that same skill saved us $5,000 in title transfer costs. The real measure of a Realtor is when things start going wrong with the house or the closing and by this measure Valerie is the BEST Realtor I have ever worked with bar NONE! (over the past 35 years that is about 15 transactions). When water intrusion was discovered in the basement Valerie obtained appropriate remediation funds from the seller. When the title company (the out of state lender's) insisted in figuring the Maryland transfer taxes wrong, Valerie worked tirelessly, going straight to her boss to get a Long & Foster Attorney to convince the title company they were in error and saving us another $5,000. Finally, when mold turned up in the basement the day before closing She was right there and got us the absolute maximum for remediation.
