Description of Work: They fixed our roof; did a lot of exterior painting; plus a lot of miscellaneous projects. The concrete steps peeled after only a few months but all other work was excellent. it took a long time for them to be available for the roof repair, while the skylight was dripping on my bed. Once they were free the job was done quickly and correctly.

Description of Work: Was so excited to get started with my project, which was not small. I was told that I was too far away! I am less than 10 miles from this contractor and he even said he could use the work. He was very nice but said to call if I couldn't find anyone else to do the work. Fat chance of that. I have another big project to do next year, so was eager to get a quality outfit that I could continue to work with but they want to stay in Bethesda, I guess. They are also rated highly by Washington Consumer Checkbook, so I was not going to be looking at price alone. I think I didn't live in the "right" neighborhood for them and felt let down after the call.

Description of Work: Initial problem was a leak to the right of a fireplace in our study (back of house 2nd story of 3).Home inspection not definitive. Called S T & S because we used them before and were pleased. They solved the problem and gave an estimate to paint exterior. Other exterior painters never did a good or lasting job so we thought we would give them a chance. Our house has never looked better and all shutter ,window and door problems are fixed. The brick and railings also painted. Some carpentry and electrical was added with great results. We then added interior painting and it is perfect. It is comforting to know that if a house need presents----ST&S is there to help. If any problem comes up they are quick to respond. We have been in this neighborhood over 40 years and ST&S has the only painting team who really do all the necessary prep work for a great painting job.
