It went great. We needed a skylight solar blind repair on short notice because of a re-roofing project on our condo in DC. Matt was easily reachable, set up a same-day appointment, arrived on time, and quickly got the blind working. The fee was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Skywright!

Matt and team at Skywright were fantastic. We had a leaky skylight, and they came out the next day (on a Saturday no less) to inspect it and suggest next steps. The replacement skylight was installed under a week later, and it looks great. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Matt and his team for their prompt, professional work!

Matt repaired my condo neighbor's skylight, so I called him when I started having a similar problem (a leak due to poor installation choices by the developer). He immediately identified the problem, quickly fixed the installation, and, when I was concerned I still had a leak, came back out to inspect free of charge (and confirmed there was no leak). I highly recommend using him for the unique problems that skylights present.

They fixed it the first time. Wish I called them a year ago. Set up date. They fixed it in two hours. I had several heavy rains. No leak. If your repairing or replacing call them first. Note you get 5 year Guarantee !

Overall it went great. Hard to reach after the initial visit and quote was done. A out a month later I got a message on what to do, sent back a deposit, a date was given. They arrived and the work began. It seemed to go quicker than expected. Both were installed and the old ones were taken away. With the week of rain we just experienced, no noticeable leaks or problems. My only gripe was not asking permission to use the kitchen sink to wash up afterwards. Other than that it was a great installation.

It went well, just hard to get a hold of after the initial quote was done. After that he contacted me and a date was set immediately. Came out and performed the work. Also recommended my roof needs to be replaced. After last weeks heavy rains, we've had no signs of leaking. Lots of light come in these as compared to before. My only gripe was he didn't ask permission to wash off in the kitchen sink, the bathroom would be more appropriate.

While technician was running late, when he arrived, he was great and got right down to business and offered 3 options with a recommendation for the least expensive one as he believed it was the best! Love the honesty.

Could not have asked for more. Matt - a super nice guy - showed up the day I called for an estimate. Next day, he and his team replaced a skylight, fixed some old wood damage and caulked another skylight. Simply perfect.

The wrong size of skylight was delivered. It was corrected on the same day. No problems after that. The owner, Matt Sullivan, knew what he was doing.

Work done on schedule and with solid quality

It went very well. I wanted someone who only does skylights and Matt's the guy. My only complaint is that he took twice as long to do the work (four weeks) as what he told me in the beginning (two weeks). But once we set up the installation, he was on time and did the work very professionally.

The contractor was very professional and did a nice job.

We contacted Matt and were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to work with him. He came to our house when we weren't there - got on the roof and left us a quote. It was very reasonable, so we decided to go with him. The job only took a day to do, so he came to our house within a week or so. Since the work was performed on our roof - we weren't there when he was there. Actually, we never got to meet Matt. But, he did a great job - in a timely fashion - at a great price. We would definitely recommend him to others needing work on their skylight, especially on an older home like ours.

On Thursday (Nov. 12) of last week at 11 a.m. I talked to someone there and made an arrangement for them to come out on Monday (Nov.16), yesterday, to look at my skylight. He confirmed that he could come out on Monday and then he never showed. I called him today, Tuesday, and he informed me that he would not be able to make it out until Friday or Saturday. The hardship of it all is I took off of work on Monday due to us setting and confirming that appointment date and then he never even bothered to call to tell us he was not coming.

Matt was great! He replaced two old bubble skylights that had been heating up our third floor office with low-e argon filled Velux skylights, and installed two solar powered roof vent fans to exhaust hot air from our attic (using fans that I ordered from Amazon). The toughest job was installing a sun tunnel in our very dark kitchen. He recommended cutting into the front roof (even though the kitchen is in the back) in order to capture more light. This required him to snake the tunnel about 15' from the front roof opening through the crawl space into the kitchen ceiling. We are AMAZED at the difference this makes in transforming a gloomy kitchen into one that now seldom needs electric lighting. The new skylights are incredible too - blocking nearly all the sun's heat while letting in light.

Flaked out on me. Spoke on phone. Promised to come by to look at my leaking skylight. Never showed. \Then didn't return phone message.

Matt Sullivan came with his crew and did a fantastic job for a fair price. I was very happy with their work and professionalism. They laid out covering throughout the house to protect floors from debris when they were working and removed it each day when they were done. I left my house key with them while I was at work for the three days it took to finish the job and they were completely trustworthy. As for the work completed, the drywalling was well done, as was the new ceiling access. The new skylight also works and they did a fine job with it. Overall, I'm happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone else looking for similar work to be done. Matt was kind and friendly, they got the work done on time and on budget, and the price was reasonable. When I get another property as an investment, I'll be calling him for anything I need.

They seemed to know what they were doing and were very dependable. Their recommendation for replacement was later confirmed by a different provider.

I first met Matt in early October when I noticed pieces of material had fallen from two of my three skylights. Thinking further damage might lead to leakages, I contacted three contractors to assess the damage. Matt was the only one who gave me a straight answer. The material was some sort of moulding and did not portend future leakage. For a nominal fee, Matt inspected the skylights and removed the material. We had a frank discussion about the pros and cons of replacing versus resealing the skylights. Due to their age, we decided to replace them. They had to be custom ordered due to their odd size (as are a lot of things in our home) and cost a bit more due to the custom fit. Matt came out on the agreed day and replaced the skylights. He removed all the old material. We are very happy with the skylights and with Matt's work. I highly recommend him.

He was just fabulous! The technician came out the same day I had called, Matt Sullivan. He explained where the leak was coming from and was very honest with me. He could have charged me or said anything about my roof but he kept it honest and professional. He was prompt for the appointment and he couldnt have been nicer.

Three options were quoted and pros/cons for each were fully discussed. The work was done correctly when scheduled. I would very much hire Skywright again.

The owner agreed to a 3 week start date after the initial down payment. After four plus weeks I had to call them and remind them that I was waiting for the installation. When I had requested a bid I believe i was clear as to my expectations regarding the job. I wanted a finished job. The installation went well until the owner informed me he was finished with the work. When i took a look at what he had done the work was not satisfactory and in my opinion was of poor quality and not at all finished. My issues were: the skylight was not caulked where it met the ceiling as it should have been. When I pointed this out the owner said "I ran out of caulk". I did not like the finished paint job. The owner had done some patch work with sheet-rock to install the skylight. It was my opinion that a finished job would include a finished look including the paint on the ceiling. The owner did not agree and planed only to spot paint the ceiling leaving a considerable eyesore on the ceiling. I would have to hire a painter to come in to re-due the entire ceiling (all of about 50 sq. ft.) When I complained the owner responded, " did yo expect me to paint the entire ceiling?" I told him what I expected and what I had paid for was a finished job not a job where I would have to bring in a painter to finisher. The owner than painted a bit more of the ceiling. I feel that the job was not complete if I had to bring in another painter I did not try to negotiate the owners price quote and was very clear with him about my expectations. I know I could have gotten a lower price if I shopped around but I agreed to his price because he did this kind of work (installing skylights) for a living and would give me a complete and professional job. In the end I do not believe that happened.
