Shelley did an amazing job navigating our family through the process of selling our home. She was exceptionally detailed, flexible, reliable and good-humored though what could have been a very stressful process. In particular, she was very helpful and accommodating of my children and their resistance to moving while still doing everything required to effectively stage and show the home. She also proved to be a very effective negotiator and was able to move us and the buyers through some potential difficulties with great calm and wisdom. I cannot recommend her service enough. She is just exceptional in every way!

Shelley was awesome from first contact through settlement. As first time home-buyers Shelley did a great job of getting us from house hunting to key turning. We thought we knew what kind of house we wanted and Shelley was more than happy to show us every house we asked about. She talked to us about what kind of condition the single family homes in our price range would be like. After considering her suggestion to look at townhouses and taking a look at some of her recommendations we realized that she was 100% correct. I'd like to add, I really appreciate Shelley's patience during the early stages. I have a feeling she knew we wouldn't like some of the houses we asked to look at but without hesitation took the time to show them to us anyways. She let us learn about these houses instead of just insisting we wouldn't like them or only showing us what she thought we would like. The lender we ended up choosing gave us great rates and equally bad service. Shelley was a huge advocate on our behalf in pulling the whole deal through. She put the pressure on the lender behind the scenes and was able to smooth everything over by the closing date which enabled us to close right on time (within a few hours). We don't feel like we simply settled with what we could afford, Shelley helped us maximize our purchase with what we brought to the table. We love the house we bought. I would absolutely recommend Shelley to a first time home buyer or anyone else looking for a realtor who will go to bat for you during this exciting and challenging experience. Thanks Shelley!!!

Shelley was simply wonderful from the beginning of the process to the end. I initially called her to help my mom with her home search in Silver Spring MD, and ended up using her to list my DC condo because I was so pleased with how much she'd helped my mom. I met with her in January to discuss the sale of my condo, and within three months she had guided me through the listing and closing on my condo! She is incredibly responsive, gives great advice, and stays on top of everyone involved. She listed my condo for more than I thought it was worth, because she'd done her homework and knew its value--I ended up getting a full asking price. She rooted for me the whole way through and I could tell she was genuinely happy for me when we got the offer. I'm choosing to rent for the time being but I will definitely be calling Shelley again when it's time to look for my next home to buy. I could not be more pleased!

It went very well. We'd only purchased a home once before, but it was ten years ago. We felt like first-time home buyers this go-around. Shelley was great; she helped us understand every step of the complicated process of home buying. After looking at several homes on our own, we first saw the property we eventually purchased at an open house. We then asked Shelley to get us a second look. The house had only been on the market for a week and Shelley was able to determine that there were at least two other prospective buyers interested in the house. We went back a third time that week with Shelley, and decided that night to make an offer. Shelley put together a comparative pricing package, and we felt confident that the offer we made (based on the data Shelley had provided) was a fair price that would be attractive to the seller. The seller's agent collected our offer and offers from two other parties, and presented them to the seller on that Saturday. By the end of the day we were notified that our offer was accepted. Shelley spent a lot of time working with us on putting our offer together, and then helped us through the home inspection and inspection contingency process. She recommended several inspectors, and the one we chose was amazing. He did a great job of helping us get to know the house we were buying. Shelley also recommended some title companies. We were very happy with the one we chose. Shelley was also great at making sure we met all of our deadlines. She stayed on top of everything for us, and we felt very well represented. Fast forward to closing... Closing went very smoothly. Only took an hour. Shelley sat with us while we signed all the documentation. It was a great day.

The house was put on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) on a Wednesday evening. A 'For Sale' sign went up the next day, Thursday and we had a contract the very next day for more than the asking price! We were quite amazed (but delighted) at how quickly it sold as we were expecting it to take several months. Thank you, Shelly!

Shelley Green is amazing. We had problems with the first two realtors that wasted a lot of valuable time in the 2014 market. Once we called Shelley (who sold my step-Mom’s house in less than a week the previous year), she got into quick action. By then, we were at the end of the 2014 market and went back on the market with her just before Thanksgiving. Shelley gave us frank feedback about the house that we had not received from our two previous realtors (the first was a friend and the second was from a small local family firm that specializes in the area). Shelley hired a real stager who, with Shelley, got the house looking very upscale. We got a lot of traffic even though we were very late in the market and very close to the holidays. We took the house off market for the holidays and after putting it back on for spring 2015, she held an open house 2 days after listing. We were skeptical about open houses since you hear that they don’t really sell houses. Well, we had 25 families come through that day! Within a week we had two second visits from the open – one was a good, clean offer. Shelley will be frank with you about your house and what needs to be done to get it sold for a good price. She has a keen eye, paying very close attention to detail, finding issues with the house needing correction that were missed by the two previous realtors and their broker teams. You might not like all that you hear if you are not yet thinking about your house as a commodity to be marketed. But if you do what she recommends, you will increase your chance of quick sale at a good price. She kept us informed of what was happening on a regular basis from the first day of listing at the end of the 2014 market through and immediately after our recent closing. She helped us get everything taken care of after the inspection. She was very hands on - making sure that everything was done with a keen eye and great attention to detail throughout the entire process. Our only regret is that we wish that we’d called her first instead of wasting time with our first realtor (friend) and that local firm. If you are thinking about selling your house and are looking for a realtor who will be frank, hands on, hardworking, and looks out for your best interests as your advocate through the process, you need to call Shelley. We wish we had not wasted valuable market time listing with those other realtors and had just called Shelley first.

To make a very long story short, we signed a contract with Cindy B. of weichert last year and it was agreed to put our house on the market in may2014. unfortunately she didn't really do a great job. calls, texts and emails for the most part were ignored and left unanswered. So we were close to end of may and we were getting very anxious because we haven't put the house on the market, finally my husband recommended we get in touch with shelley (who we interviewed last year too) and let me tell you, she's really a hard worker. We called her on may 28th , she came over on may 29th suggested few repairs, by june 13th we were on the market and had a great offer the next day!! Now you may be thinking that we sold our home at a lowball price but no, it sold for a lot more than we were asking for. You can really tell how dedicated she is to her job (she even gets back to us even if its the weekend, how cool is that?!?) We really couldn't have asked for a better realtor, you can never go wrong with shelley. We highly recommend her, don't even waste your time interviewing other realtors, just hire shelley!! she's awesome!

Shelley was amazing! She was always honest, professional, and friendly. My husband and I had such a good time working with her. The process for both selling our place and buying a new one went smoother than I ever thought possible; thanks mostly to Shelley for helping us and all the other parties involved stay on top of everything.

She was relentless in finding homes in the price range that I wanted. She was persistent in her efforts to find just the right home at just the right price. She considered every finite detail of the search and transaction and her follow up after the sale continues to this day.

We were relocating to Maryland from out of state. We contacted Shelley after having a bad experience with another real estate agent, where we lost 6 weeks out of only about 10-11 weeks we had! We talked to Shelley, explained our situation, and asked her if she could help us to find a house to purchase in in the span of weeks! Unlike our other agent, Shelly really sprang into action to address our needs. She began by collaborating with us to develop several plans. She explained that the market inventory was low, and insisted that we have a plan in case we didn't find something suitable. After locking down some rental possibilities at her suggestion as a plan B, she set to work seeing what she could do to find a place we could buy. Because this market was so much more expensive than where we were coming from, she had to do some education with us about what we could expect, and to see what we could realistically afford. She then managed to find more than one place in our price range (incredible in the area and price constraints we had!), and we started the process with a house that she helped us understand could work for us. The place was smaller than we wished, but really hit the commute, schools, and area we wanted -- we came to understand that with the amount we had to spend, the size house we would have wanted would have been very difficult! Then, even when we were basically locked into a given house, where she could have sat back and we would have been locked in, she became very animated to pound the pavement to see if there were other places that we would like better! Shelly was truly an agent advocating for what we needed at every corner. The move was very intense for us, and was greatly exacerbated by our bad experience and lost 6 weeks with the first agent. We were so glad that we found Shelly -- she took our situation very seriously, and got it done. He level of professionalism, in terms of her commitment to making things work out for us under intense time and price limits, was really impressive, and to us amazing!

My relationship with Shelley Green was the best working relationship I have ever had with a professional real estate agent, Form day one Ms. Green worked with me always giving me 100% of her attention. She always returned my emails and phone calls within 15 minutes or less. During the process of obtaining my mortgage she held my hand each and every time there was a delay in the process. And there were many delays and challenges in obtaining my mortgage. Ms. Green arranged for a carpet contractor to meet us at the condo to get measurements and get a price for carpeting. She followed with me to see if I had made a decision on the carpet. When I was indecisive about which contractor to use she provided me with the dimensions of the floor plan so I could get other bids. After I was settled into my condo a problem arose with a carpet contractor. Despite the fact that the sale was a done deal, Ms. Green went out of her way to help me get the problem resolved. I couldn't have asked for more. She contacted another carpet contractor and got new pricing if I chose to replace the carpet. She also gave me negotiating suggestions to help me get my problems with the carpet resolved. pring, Shelley Green is the best real estate agent I have ever worked with and I have worked with three other agents. You can not to any better than Ms. Green as your agent. She is amazing.

Shelley Green and The Banner Team are excellent. I highly recommend Shelley for her fastidious work in selling my townhome. I interviewed four realtors before deciding to use Shelley because she had the most extensive knowledge of the selling process, knowledge of my neighborhood, of my home's value, of my need to sell yet make a profit, and her vast attention to detail, her honesty, and more. She did not "over-promise" as many realtors do just to get your business. Shelley tells you upfront the worst and best case scenarios for selling your home. She also knows how to price it to sell well for you, the homeowner, as well as for what is happening in the market. As a frist-time homeseller during a difficult market, I had many questions regarding the selling process. Shelley answered each one of them thoroughly, effictively and quickly. She treated my home of utmost importance and knew me and it inside and out. She was proactive rather than reactive to feedback/interest from each person/agent who looked at the home. So I knew at all times how the house was doing on the market and what to expect next. In the end, the home sold faster than expected, with multiple offers, and appraised well. The buyers were well qualified, and the closing process went smoothly. I could not have asked for anything better from my realtor. I am a senior widow selling a house for the first time and I was very frightened at the prospect. I interviewed a large number of real estate agents but was uncomfortable with most of them. Shelley was a stand-out from the moment she walked into my home. She guided me through every aspect of the sale, continually providing advice and support. Her attention to detail was amazing--nothing was too small to escape her "Eagle-Eye." She called me continuously to keep me informed, or to check up on me. She was always available for my phone calls. She provided detailed market analyses throughout the process and excellent pricing recommendations, Her skill, patience and can-do attitude are amazing. I highly recommend her.

It was a great experience. Shelley belongs to the Banner Team at Long and Foster, so we had access to all of the agents on the team and everyone was GREAT! The Banner Team sold our home in 12 days!!!

It went very well. We picked Shelley after interviewing others. She gave us sound recommendations for things we could do personally, and then recommended contractors who were were both skilled and reasonably priced to do more complicated or time-consuming projects. She was always realistic but never pessamistic. . She knew what had to fixed without going overboard on things that would not add real value to a buyer. She helped us through some VERY tough deadlines set by the title company. She was great at calming us down when we were anxious. We were out-of-state sellers, and it was hard to be absent while everything was going on. As calming as she was, though, she was always honest with us. We were grateful for that. What helped us most was the regular communication with us all along. We were never in the dark. When she told us about problems, she always has several options for us. Our neighbors were so impressed with her that one of them hired her.

We called Shelly from a referance on Angie's List. She called right back and set up a meeting with us to look at our property. We met and even though what she had to say was not what we wanted to hear we were impressed with her straight forward attitude on what could and could not be done in today's market. She came well prepared with market evaluations and left that paperwork with us...and when we changed strategies based on her advice...she sent us over more information via email that we would need to continue. Our plans to relocate to the DC area fell through, and I felt horribly guilty. We were supposed to visit the area for the weekend and meet with her so she could show us the properties. I had to cancel the day before the meeting. I felt like I had sent her on a wild goose chase for no good reason. I e-mailed her to let her know the move was off and to apologize for wasting her time. Her response could not have been more kind or compassionate. She understood completely and said that things like this happen in her line of work. No worries, no hard feelings. It was a 5-star experience, all the way.

I bought a home in Janurary. Being a first time home buyer Shelley Green needed to guide me in all the little details and nuances in order to protect me from having future problems. She recommended a home inspector and I decided to use a different one afraid that using a realtor's home inspector might represent a conflict of interest. After the sale was complete I became aware of many big details missed by the home inspector I chose. For example: I couldnt find the turn off knobs inside the home to shut off the outside water valves. Apparently drywall was placed over them and the water was left on. My first night in my new house in January with below freezing temperature with the water left running outside !!!! It was Shelley who came running to help. She is still calling me in May to make sure all the little details the builder promised to work on are being addressed. Even though none of my issues were here fault Shelley stayed with me through thick and thin advising me in all the methods I would need to get the problems resolved and handling many of them herself even though she had nothing to gain from it. She is amazing and I highly suggest you call her if you are in the market for a house.
