OSCAR MERCADO

Oscar replaced an outdated shower/tub set in an upstairs bathrooms. He is a very skilled plumber. This was not an easy job as there was not much room to cut the pipes to install the cutoff valves, Oscar was very careful in brazing the fittings and making sure there were no leaks. He installed the new fixture, then cleaned up and removed all trash without asking. We tested the shower and tub; everything worked great. The new copper pipes connecting the cutoff valves look BEAUTIFUL!

Oscar Mercado installed an 8' aluminum pull down folding ladder to give us direct access to the attic. Previously we could only get into the attic through a panel in a closet ceiling. Very inconvenient! He and his assistant had to cut a 48" x 24" piece out of the drywall ceiling in an upstairs bedroom to mount the folding ladder assembly. We discussed where in the ceiling the cut should be and he placed it exactly as requested. The job took several hours, and involved rough and careful finished carpentry as well as painting. When he was done he removed all trash and there was not even a speck of dust remaining. We are VERY pleased with the result, and his price was reasonable. I recommend Oscar Mercado highly for carpentry work of any degree of complexity or polish.

Oscar was very fairly priced, he is hard to schedule because he is so busy, but he came, spent the whole day and did everything we asked well. He is practical, came with a helper and very nice.

We were thrilled with Oscar's work! He showed up on time, brought a helper with him and spent the entire day at our newly-purchased home. We wanted ceiling fans in the three bedrooms and the living room, but there were no lights to replace. In fact, the only places in the entire house with a ceiling lamp were the dining room and the kitchen. He went into the attic and ran the lines, cut out a hole for the electrical wire and then installed all four fans. (We ended up taking one down because it was too low - our fault, not his.) Then he installed two "safety" outlets in two bathrooms were there were no, repeat no, outlets at all. The only outlets in those two bathroom were in the lights over the medicine cabinets, which we had replaced. Then he installed an outlet to use outside, with the special outside outlet and changed a light socket in the HVAC room. He provided all the materials and wiring, replaced boxes, worked quickly and cleaned up afterwards. The only problem was he had to cut into the drywall in a couple of places to run wire and he didn't have the materials to repair where he cut out (and then replaced) a small piece of drywall. This was no problem for us, as my husband has all the materials to fix - filler and paint - and my husband told him not to bother trying to repair it; however, that might be an issue for some customers. Overall, however, we were very, very happy. We were very, very happy with him, his professionalism, kind and polite manner and above all, his price. We had asked for a quote from another electrical company that wanted $250 per fan just to run the wires for the ceiling fans - and that price did not include hanging the fan. We will keep Oscar on speed dial for sure!
