Based on several other A/L reviews, I called and scheduled to have Todd come out to our house for this job. There was a wind storm the week before and three pieces of our siding blew off. They came from the tallest part of the house to boot. I was not about to go up there on a ladder. Todd arrived on time, about 5:30. I pretty sure Todd is only available at night, but certainly that comes in handy so as not to have to take time off from work. Todd looked at the siding and explained that the installer did not use nails, but simply snapped them into place. That lasted decades, but still, he was telling me they should be screwed/nailed into the house. He attached the pieces and used silicone to seal around each of them. It was completely dark by the time he had finished (he brought a light), but when I looked at it the next day (with my telescopic camera lens), I could see that it was done neatly and professionally. I delayed writing this review so I could see if his work held up through a few months of winter winds, and it has! Due to my very positive experience with this job, I would not hesitate to have Todd come back out to my house for additional jobs in the future.

This is the 3rd time I have used this company. As usual we have been very pleased with the quality of the work. Nicole is very responsive when I call her for a service appointment. This time Jonathan came to do the work. I had a bathroom mirror where the screws holding the mirror has gone into the drywall with the anchors. It was very unsteady on the wall so I asked if it needed to be replaced. Jonathan said that he could move the mirror slightly and put the screws and anchors in new holes and at the same time mend the existing holes that are not being used. He did a great job with the mirror and the old holes in the wall. The bottom of the wooden frame on my patio door has rotted over the years and it needed to be replaced. Since I have no idea what to buy to do all the jobs, as before the tech went to my local Home Depot to make the purchases. He came back with water-treated slab of wood for the bottom frame. He said it would take about 2-3 hours for him to take the door out and to make the replacement piece. It sure did take that long and more. I was very impressed with Jonathan, he managed to take a slab of wood, make it into a U-shape frame on the top and make holes on the bottom for the sliding door wheels. Unfortunately, he had a little mishap with the door. When he tried to unscrew the two bolts on each side, one of the bolts would not come out, I guess it was stripped so Jonathan tried to cut the bolt with his saw which he did, but not before he accidentally nicked the double pane tempered glass on the door. The entire outer glass pane has cracked but not shattered into pieces. Jonathan had to order a new double pane tempered glass for my door which would take 7-10 days and then come back to install it. Of course I was not going to be charged for the new glass or for the installation. Jonathan and James came back 2 weeks later and installed the new glass. The bottom frame looked good after Jonathan put a coat of primer on it. I will have to call them back in the Spring to paint the entire door among other paint job that I may have for them by then. The pull down light was installed and a new extension cord was replaced on the workbench light fixture. Good thing I purchase the Angie's List deal online before hand and saved a little bit of money there. Overall, I am still very happy with the job. The price is a bit more than I anticipated because of the work involved in making the wooden piece and of course Jonathan was on the clock too when he went shopping at Home Depot. The entire staff were very professional, friendly and professional which I really appreciated. I have called other handyman company before I settled on this company. The other company wanted me to supply the material. What the heck do I know of what to buy so that is why I did not use them. It is more expensive for them to go and get the stuff they need but worth the hassle and time of me getting the wrong stuff and had to take them back and maybe still get the wrong stuff again, so better for the tech to go.

The first time through was OK, but not great - the guy was super nice, but he took much longer to complete the work than he had quoted us. But after talking to Dan, the owner, he agreed to have someone come out and complete the other work that was quoted, but never completed. After having the second guy come out (also a really nice person), I was happy with the work done. It was a bit pricier than I had expected to pay - and beware, if they buy any supplies for you, they mark them up 30% from the home depot price, in addition to charging you for the trip there, but the work was good. I would use them again.

Didn't hire. It was a bit expensive.

It was perfect. He did it all in one day. He performed the service on a Saturday so I was around for it.

Great experience with Technician Max. He was able to assess everything, explain the problem, offer various solutions, and proceed with finishing the work. Everything looks nice. He was even able to pick up the parts/supplies necessary for the job. Would recommend to others!

We've had Mr. Handyman out twice - two different guys. Both were excellent - they completed the work in a professional manner, did not waste time, and both were very knowledgeable in what they were doing. We would not hesitate to use again.

The company office was very responsive and scheduled us quickly. Technician Dustin arrived on time and worked efficiently. Instead of just sistering the part of the joist that was cracked, he recommended adding a full joist to provide more support and avoid problems in the future. The joist was in a utility room and was between a wall and our furnace, and we agreed with his suggestion. So he removed part of the ceiling in the adjacent room to be able to maneuver the joist into position. After securing the new joist next to the old, he repaired and patched the ceiling, painted, and cleaned everything up. We gladly recommend this company to others. Cost: $560

The job took a little longer to fix because of the damage to the supporting beams from the leaking roof. The contractor found a way to support all the old beams without completely removing all the damaged ones.

He fixed it quickly and showed me how to fix it myself in case it happens again.

He was great and also helped me price work for home upgrades.

Did not go so well the first time. The handyman showed up and replaced the rails. A month later, the drawer fell off the rails again. I called in, and the handyman came in after hours to replace the rails, this time with much stronger rails, and added wood reinforcements. I'm confident we won't have a problem with this drawer again. Did not charge us a penny more, though the work took I'm sure much longer than expected. I was pleasantly surprised that they responded as well as they did after the rails didn't work the first time. And the handyman was very friendly and professional (good with dogs too). I would happily use them again.

This was a very pleasant experience. The technician arrived very close to the time the service had promised. He was neat, polite, and responsive. The work was carried out professionally and quickly. One small feature of Mr. Handyman that I appreciated--and would be even more appreciated by a woman---was the e-mailing of a photo of the technician, to ensure the correct person appeared. Overall, I would unreservedly recommend this service provider.

Alex did a terrific job taking out the broken gable vent and replacing it with a new one that I had purchased from Lowe's. In the process of removing the vent cover, he discovered a nest with live baby squirrels at the base of the vent fan. He was able to transfer them to a cardboard box and the mama squirrel returned andl retrieved them except one. She kept coming back and kept gnawing on the vent cover that Alex had just installed. We didn't know that one of the baby squirrels had fallen onto the attic floor until I checked that evening. Sure enough there was one half hidden in the insulation and that is why mama squirrel kept returning. My daughter gave it water throughout the night and it survived the next morning. We placed it on the grass under the vent hoping mama squirrel would see her baby but she didn't. She just made a beeline for the vent and continued to gnaw and I think she gnawed on it the entire day. When I returned from work, she was no where to be seen but half of the louvered panel was chewed away. Fortunately she didn't return the third day. I think she gave up when she discovered that there was a second panel behind the louvered one. Nicole (who is just great ) was able to schedule Alex to returned the following week and he did another great job replacing the squirrel damaged vent with a new one. I am grateful that he didn't charge me the full fee of $168 but a small fraction of it. Even the squirrel saga ended happily but I wish there was a way that I could let mama squirrel know that her baby is safe at the Wildlife Refuge and that her little baby will grow up to be just like her.

Todd did excellent quality work and was very friendly and professional. Our original project ( expanding the door to a closet to make the unreachable space inside more accessible) didn't go as planned since when Todd began to take down the wall for the expansion, he found pipes running the length of the wall. Our quick and relatively inexpensive project doubled in both time and money (and we frustratingly lost pretty much an entire day of work to put back the wall we took down due to the pipes), but Todd helped us come up with a solution that worked for us and ended up custom building a chest of drawers that fit in the closet and pulled out to the original door opening. We had another minor setback getting the newly installed light to work properly, but the company's owner himself came out and fixed it for no additional charge. Despite the frustrations and set-backs, we came away satisfied with the results and feeling good about the company, which speaks a lot to the quality and professionalism. We will be using Mr. Handyman again for any future handyman needs.

Was able to schedule someone to work within a couple of days of calling. Unfortunately the day the handyman was supposed to come he became ill. They initially rescheduled, but they kept on top of their other workers' jobs and were able to send someone on the original day when one of them finished another job early. I thought this was very considerate because they could have just let the rescheduled appointment stand. It saved me from having to take another day off work. The handyman that came (Sean) was friendly, quite knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and completed the work in a timely manner, which was important because they charge by the hour. I was very happy with the quality of the work he did. I would not hesitate to call them again to do repair work.
