Improper adhesive used, it was back on the floor within 24 hours. I found them very difficult to get in touch with, never called to say there was a delay, waited for hours. Waste of time and money. The job minimum cost is way out of line.

Frankly, I did not like fact that there were two visits. One to look over the work that needed to be done and one to do the work. But having gone through that, I understand why. They don't know what material I have. I need to make that clear that I get it now. They were also able to come and do the estimate on a Saturday. So I did not have to take off work twice. If I had to take off work twice, I probably would have cancelled. We came out and went over all the stuff that I purchased. If I remember correctly, it was labor only. I had bought the wrong kind of spackling or something. He told me that and that was good. I could take it back and get the right kind. He told me what to buy. It was all set up. The day of the work, the guy came and worked the entire time. Very hard worker. He was on time. There was absolutely no complaints. It went very smoothly. It was a big deal for Handyman Services. We knew how much it was going to cost because it was paid. He came out to get a feel for what I wanted done. I could have said I want my whole downstairs refinished. It wasn't that at all. There was no other charges because the work that I wanted done, they were able to do in that allotted time period. If it had gone beyond then they would have charged extra. They made that very clear. It was very up and up. It was very basic handyman stuff. I am technically and mechanically challenged. Basic basic handyman stuff. Fixing things. No painting, nothing like that. After everything was done. I understood. They did awesome work. I should not have judged in the beginning about the two visits. It was a big deal in the beginning for me. There is a reason that it is done this way. I got it. The biggest thing was that they knew what they were doing. I should have shut up. The guy did great work.

I am happy with the replacement of the door jamb. The employee was polite and professional and I would hire them again.

Alex is a jewel. He's always on time and extremely pleasant to work with. Most of all, he is highly-skilled, knowledgeable, and has expertise in anything we've asked him to do, whether it is routine plumbing, door/lock installation, drywall repair, wood flooring repair, tile installation, etc. We also value his impeccable work ethic. He is always so focused on doing a thorough job that there have been times when he has worked straight through lunch! To us, Alex truly is the personification of "Mr. Handyman." We also hope that his salary is reflective of his value.

Mr. Handyman did an excellent job replacing, caulking, and painting my bay window area. The professionals were prompt and responsive. This is my second time working with them and I would gladly call them again--and recommend them to others.

Alex was very prompt, even a little early, and very professional. He took the time to lay out tarp to collect debris, removed the old attic stairs without an assistant, saved the molding to reuse with the new stairs and cleaned up after. He seemed to take pride in his work which I appreciated. I would recommend him and Mr. Handyman, no question.

Bought a deal from Angie's List - and had a return call before I even logged out! Purchased & scheduled within 10 minutes. Handyman was prompt, very courteous and went straight to his work. We had a spot of bother getting the pair of pictures to hang evenly,;but got it right in the end. Cleaned up well after himself. In all, a great visit. Not sure why I ever stopped using them. But, I'm back, for sure!

The expense was the only thing, it was kind of expensive. It's a big company, so you call and then they hook you up with a girl, they will call you back and figure out what you want, and then set up the appointment and the time. The man they sent was very very nice. I think there are 3 or 4 people that work. There is a major company that runs it from the Midwest and then they kind of farm it out to wherever you live I believe. They certainly were very well and I trusted them.

He arrived on time, I showed him the supplies, and where the work was needed, then left him to it. He worked tirelessly and got through all the items on the list within the 4 hour time frame. He was articulate, communicative, knowledgeable and VERY, VERY professional. I would hire them again in a flash and was very impressed.

They came to do the gutters and saw there was a problem with the roof. He identified the roof problem and took a picture and showed me the problem. He told me while he was up there, he could make a temporary repair. I give them an "A" because they saw some problem and identified it even though that was not the reason why they were up on the roof. They give you the minimum of $160 to come out. Plus they did the repair on the roof, I thought that was economical for the work that was done. They were exactly on time.

He was creative and found a way to solve the garage door gap issue I had been trying to fix for years. He covered everything on my list and had time for one little job I had not expected to have done. Thank you.

Punctual, listened to what I wanted, double-checked to make sure I was happy with work as he went through the punch list. Knowledgeable. There was 1 items that he wasn't sure about and I appreciated that he was honest and said felt like it was beyond his expertise. I would rather someone be honest than do a bad job and mess things up. I would use them again.

The mortar work that was done previously needed to be repaired and cleaned up. It had started to crack between the wall of the house and the porch and I needed the excess mortar from the repair cleaned off the brick facade. I had used Mr. Handyman before and did not hesitate to call them again to fix the problem and to do the new work. Nicole was extremely pleasant and professional. After I told her about the mortar work and my disappointment that it needed to be fixed again, she offered to send someone to do the work free of charge. She also scheduled me for the new work I needed done. Jonathan T. came on a Friday and on time and went to Home Depot to pick up supplies before starting the painting of the shutters. He said he would need to tape, clean, sand, and prime all the shutters before they could be painted. The front door would only need to be sanded before painting, the garage door needs to be primed and then paint, and the patio door would just need to be painted since it was already primed. He did not think he would be able to do all the painting in one day but more like multi-days since painting the louvered shutters takes a long time to paint with a brush. Luciano came later that morning to start on the mortar work. He was able to finish the repair before he left. I called Nicole to let her know that the paint job is going to take more than one day and scheduled both Jonathan and Luciano to come back next Friday (I am usually off on Fridays) and hopefully finish the job. Jonathan was able to finish taping, clean and prime all the shutters and put one coat of paint on the front door before leaving. He told me that he would come back the next morning to start painting the shutters. He came back Saturday for 4 hours to paint the 8 lower level shutters but was unable to paint the 10 upper level shutters but did say that he would come back Monday to start on them. He came back Monday for 4 hours to put another coat on the lower shutters before starting on the upper shutters but still was not done so he said he would come back on Wednesday instead of Friday to paint again. So I called Nicole to switch the scheduled Friday service to Wednesday with Jonathan and Luciano. Jonathan T. came to put another coat on the lower level and upper level shutters. Luciano came later that morning to help Jonathan with priming the garage door. While the paint on the shutters were drying, Jonathan started on repairing the brick steps by taking them apart and resetting them. Then he put another coat of paint on the upper level shutters. Overall, it took about 4-5 coats of paint on the shutters to get it completely covered and to the color that we wanted. Jonathan came back for the final time the following Tuesday to finish putting another coat of paint on the front door, paint the garage door, paint the patio door, wash off the excess mortar on the brick steps and cleaned up. It has been a long and expensive process. Nicole told me that whenever you hire a handyman to do a paint job, it could be more expensive than hiring a regular painting company. I did a little comparison in our area and it was a bit more expensive and probably could have done it in 1-2 days instead of 2 full days and 3 half days but I cannot argue with the quality of Jonathan's work. I think it was priceless. I wished it was a bit quicker but it takes their time to do the job right. If would have been easy to hire a painter and let them slap a couple coats of paint but then without the proper cleaning, sanding and priming, you would have to paint the shutters and doors again in a few years. I was glad that I was able to save some money by buying the discount coupons on Angie's List. Nicole and Jonathan helped a lot by offering discount coupons for the job. I like the fact that they stand by their work. Will I hire Mr. Handyman again? Definitely but probably not for tedious paint jobs.

They did pretty good. They were definitely on time and they were very professional. I had to call the company back because they quoted me one price, and then when they got here, the guy had only one person with him and he quoted me another price. I told him there were supposed to be two guys coming out and the job would be too big for one with the amount of money they were charging per hour. One thing I didn't like about them, they did tell me in the beginning that they were going to be $160 an hour. It's just that when he came in the first day, he was livid; he was not the most pleasant person; he was like "this job is way too big. I can't do this job by myself. This is going to cost you maybe $1,500 or $1,600 because I've got to come back another day." I told him "that's not going to happen." It was in an area where there was a non-existent light, so they had to go through the wall and put in junction boxes and all that stuff. When I talked to his supervisor at the facility, I was told that two people would be coming out. He came back the next day after me calling the company, with extra help; they did a good job after that and I was completely satisfied with the job they did. They did stick to the price that was quoted for me the first time. He did leave the place where it was cleaned up after he left and he brought in a receipt for the stuff he had purchased so I could see that, instead of just pulling it out of his truck;. He had it to where it was paint-ready; he had to spackle the wall and he did a pretty decent job sanding it back.

There was a problem that had to be solved which took some time.

Well, the drywall went well in my basement. As for the faucet in the kids bathroom, he did not caulk around the new faucet install to secure it to the wall. The two doors to my children's bedroom were nailed, but no caulk around neither of them and the frame around my daughters door was left cracked.

Their technician (Sean) arrived on time and did a good job. He was very professional.

Great job. They were on time, professional, and finished the job in two days. The entire process was pretty smooth and they worked with my schedule. They were honest, too-- during the initial estimate, Mr. Handyman told me what work they would do, but were careful to tell me that if they saw extensive water damage or other problems once they ripped up the existing floor tile, then there would be more work to do and the final bill could be much higher. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.
