I haven?t done the job yet but I am considering them. They were very professional and they shared some tips with me. They were very good and they were very helpful when I went in for an appointment. They were on the high end so I will have to keep that into consideration.

Working with Mr. Alban was a pleasure. His estimate was accurate and was 40% lower than the competing bid we obtained. His complete showroom saved me major hunting around time. He was experienced, honest and did not waste time showing me options outside my price range. His crew was polite, experienced, and spoke serviceable English. Two glitches caused unavoidable delay...backsplash tile did not arrive in a timely fashion causing a two week delay, and some unanticipated plumbing and electrical connections were found in the removed wall causing a $2,000 cost overrun. Only suggestion for future customers would be to get the paint job factored into the overall budget. Would have saved time and energy on my part.

They were very good and excellent to deal with. I had some extensive work done by them. They gutted the entire kitchen and installed countertops, cabinets and appliances. They ripped off the flooring and installed new flooring. They also removed a wall and did some drywall and plastering work. Their prices were good and were comparable with other companies that I dealt with. They were very responsive, attentive and professional. They were precise about their work when compared to other companies. There were some times when I wished that they would be there the next day itself to finish the work, but it wasn?t their fault as we were waiting for something to be delivered. They were great and I would use their services again. The people who work for the contractors may change every year since workers come and go. However, the workers that they sent for my job were very good. My neighbors recommended them and that?s why I chose them. Their kitchen was very nice and I was happy when I used their services.

We chose Chesapeake after visiting and talking with several other kitchen renovation companies-Fernando made a very good impression and their store front gave a good overview of what kind of products they carried. Although we had a basic design in mind, Fernando made some excellent suggestions and guided us through the process. We have since been very pleased with the microwave and very quiet Bosch dishwasher they recommended. The installer, Tony, was skilled, professional, and had a good eye for detail. The job was completed in the time proposed and came in largely on budget. The one wrinkle that arose was a misunderstanding about the design of the semi-custom cabinets that faced the dining room-the proportions of the first ones they delivered were not what we had requested and we were not satisfied with the overall look. In the end, Chesapeake re-ordered and installed new cabinets that were just what we were looking for. Fernando originally asked us to pay the whole cost of the re-ordered cabinets, but relented when we argued that the manufacturer bore most of the responsibility for the misunderstanding. Chesapeake ultimately paid the majority of the cost of the do-over(we paid a small portion in recognition of the fact that there had been misunderstandings all around)and we came away feeling the matter had been handled fairly, promptly, and professionally. We recommend Chesapeake not just because the things that went well went so well, but because the problems were handled just as professionally.

He gave me a good estimate and came up with the design without a deposit. I was able to get everything I wanted for two thirds of the price compared to the other estimate. I would use them in the future.

The job was as stress-free and uneventful as any major kitchen remodeling job can be. The work was completed to the expected standard. Allowances for materials and appliances were realistic. Workers were well-supervised and they cleaned up before leaving each day. The job was completed on-budget and on-time (I consider "off by one week" to be "on-time" in the remodeling business). When I had questions, I called the owner, Fernando, and I'd get a return call in a timely manner. When I expressed concern about the height of a half-wall, the wall was redone to suit me at no additional charge. At the end of the job, I noted that a key had gone missing and Fernando told me to deduct the cost of re-keying from the final payment. I have no reservations about recommending the firm. Working with them was a pleasure.

I had two reps from Chesapeake out for a visit. They took measurements and spoke with me for about 20 minutes. They said they would have a design and estimate in about 3 weeks. This was much longer than anyone else (usually 24 hours 7 days). In the end, I never heard back from them and I decided not to follow up.

Very good experience. Work done was top notch, good attention to detail by their employees (Eduardo=excellent), a bit less by the subcontractors (plumber, electrician). Design requirements weren't major (we came in knowing pretty much what we wanted), but helped make some choices that were excellent and everything fit precisely. Started on time. Project only took about four weeks longer than estimated (we counted ourselves lucky) for a total of 4 months. They were not always the best at communicating (or asking for our input/explaining issues) when problems/need for changes arose. (Major plumbing changes in basement and garage we didn't know were coming until came home to find mess there.) They did end up adding extra charge (about $500) for additional plumbing that needed to be done without getting advance approval, but otherwise were right on estimate. Were receptive to fixing problems and very easy to work with.
