We recently had BCC Painting do a major job for us -- painting etc. much of the ground floor and replacing a ceiling that had fallen down (really). This was the third time they've done work on our house -- we'd liked them so much from the earlier jobs that we had no hesitation in working with them again. From first to last they were top-notch. Very clear in the walk-through ahead of the job (even helped us understand a pest issue that we simultaneously had fixed), excellent communication throughout, they turned up exactly when they said they would and finished on schedule. Our house looks amazing! Very strongly recommend.

John and his team are a class act! The estimate was completed within 24 hours of my call. His team arrived as scheduled, on time every day. They worked consistently, quietly, cleaned up daily, and completed the jobs on time as scheduled. They willingly and carefully moved furniture and artworks, and returned it correctly. I have used them for over 23 years, always with excellent results.

John and his crew were very good. They were very tidy, fixed holes in the walls and ceilings where you can't even notice anymore. They did multiple rooms and work in a few days. Very efficient. Will hire again!

John provided an estimate within one day of my call. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the painting industry. I signed the contract and the work began the next week. The painters were fabulous! They helped move some of my furniture, and pursuant to the terms of the contract, disassembled and hauled away an old "L" shape desk. They carefully covered all our items, lined the stairs and exposed areas with tarp. Their workmanship was great. They completed the project in 2 and one-half days. I will definitely use the company again!

He could have come down on his price but they were punctual, I had no problems, and they were good! They even came on a Sunday to finish the job and it was excellent!

I probably would have used them but we have lead in the windows and it was far cheaper for me to replace the windows than to have them painted. They showed up on time and they were excellent and professional. I had no problems with them. The only disadvantage is that I couldn't communicate with them via email.

I spent about $3,200 on the job. They did both the exterior and interior painting at the same time. So, it was a big crew. The quality of the work (especially the exterior painting) and the amount of work that they did was excellent. However, they did not clean up well after the job was done. They did not adequately prep some of the areas and they got paint on the wooden floor and on some of the furniture. I think they could not see the little drops of paint on the floor. I did not discover it until after they had long gone. I knew that it was they who had created the problem because of the paint color. The price was a little high. They did not show up on the appointed date for the estimate process. However, they did a good job. They were punctual and professional, though. If I use them again in the future, I will make sure that I stand over them when they do the work. I would use them again. The company was eager to get the paint off of her new sofa and they were eager to make it right. They handled the situation really well.

The service was scheduled very quickly. The job was done well and the staff was professional and friendly. They did a great job of keeping the job site clean. I have already referred them to a friend.

I'm being kind when I rate this job a and quot;Dand quot; but I suppose it is because I used them previously before (twice) and they did a good job. This time...not so much. We had a flood in our basement earlier this spring that left us with drywall that needed to be replaced and it morphed into a bigger job of painting most of the basement. The team who handled this job were different from before and believe me, it showed. The first step involved replacing the drywall, which also included some framing (?) work and replacement of baseboards. The guy who did this was extremely sloppy, left dust everywhere, and forgot to replace some of the baseboards, leaving nothing. He rushed the job and then had to come back because the flooring was being installed before the painting was to be done. This should have been my first clue that there were going to be problems. But, again, they did fix the problem and were out the very next morning. We have two closets in the basement hall and he claimed that he did not know that the baseboard was to be replaced in and outside both of them, just one. Seems a little strange to me. Did he think it was going to be unfinished?! He was supposed to come back two weeks later, but we changed it to the following week, for which he was thrilled. The following Monday he showed up with a young kid, and the two of them primed (they were using water-based paint over oil-based) and painted for two days. The job was not up to par - paint drips, primer showing through the paint, and uneven areas. The bathroom was being remodeled, so it was totally stripped (no sink, toilet, etc.). One would think this would have made the job easier. They didn't even lift the exhaust fan to paint underneath, and neglected to paint the above the door. Also, despite using drop cloths, they left paint splatters all over my brand new floor. It was like a Friday night rush job, yet they finished on a Tuesday. I called to complain the next day. They offered to come back out to repair the damage, but at that point I was had my contractors in the house. My contractors fixed the damage, but I ended up paying an extra $400 for what was an overpriced job in the first place. I was told that the owner was out of town on vacation but would hear about what happened. Well, if he did, I wouldn't know, because I never heard from him. I would never allow this company to work in my house again.

Everything went well. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they were prompt.

I got four estimates and theirs was the lowest. The only frustrating factor was a slight lack of communication, not letting us know when they were leaving the job even though we were home, similar stuff. They got the job done in a timely, efficient manner.

Overall went ok. Although the contract said all door knobs would be removed prior to painting, the foreman did not want to do that, saying they were old door knobs and hard to remove and he preferred to tape around them. My call to the main office changed his mind. Took him no time to remove the 2 screws. Also, contract called for special high-end oil-based paint to be used on trim, but foreman bought cheaper paint because he said the oi-based paint called for not available at nearby hardware store. Another call to the office convinced him to go to another hardware store to get the right paint. As a result, foreman got an attitude I didn't appreciate. But his crew worked steadily from 7:30 to 5 pm and did a good job.

John was very prompt in coming over and giving an estimate. His time estimate was way off--he said they'd need 3 days, but when the painters arrived, they said they'd only need 1 1/2 days. The painters were supposed to arrive on Weds., but because of a mix up, they came a day early, on Tues. Luckily, I was able to stay home that morning to get them started. I provided the paint. The painters were friendly and professional, and very good, even when I changed my mind twice about the paint in the bathrooms. In each one, they had painted one coat, when I realized the colors were wrong. So, they ended up doing 3 coats, which is what the estimate said, anyway. At the end of the job, I found several areas where they had dripped paint, and I had to point those out, and they had to fix the errors, after they had already packed up and were ready to leave. I think the foreman should have been the one to go around and make sure the work was done right. After they left, I found several areas that were not the best quality work. For example, in the bedroom there were several areas of drywall that were not sanded smooth, and are now bumpy. Same in one of the bathrooms. My husband found paint dripped on the metal light fixture. We have had so much work done on our house after moving in 3 months ago, that neither of us had the energy to call them back to fix their work. Instead, I am sorry that we won't use them again, and won't recommend them. If you're not too picky, though, they'd probably be great.

They sent out an estimator and provided a fair and reasonable rate for service. They were professional, courteous and definitely knew their trade. They provided a quality service and were wonderful to do business with. They were timely, stuck to their estimate and cleaned up nicely upon completion. That was three years ago and they still come to mind as a positive experience in a service provider. We recommend them.

John came by to give me an estimate. He was prompt and provided an itemized estimate of the cost to do the work. He called a couple of days later to inquire if I had any questions about the estimate. I had obtained a few other estimates. Although Bethesda Chevy Chase was not the lowest estimate, I decided to use them because of John's professionalism. They started the work within a day or two of my selecting them and finished the job in one day. Jose came back the next day to do a walk through and corrected a few minor problems. After Jose left, I discovered a couple of other minor issues. Jose returned again to correct the problems. He was very flexible about working with my schedule and very pleasant. John called about a week or two later to make sure everything was ok (it was). I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. The one piece of advice I have for potential clients is to check the company's website for discounts. John automatically gave me an Angie's list discout of 15%. Before the company started the job, I noticed that their website offered a discount of 20% on painting. I did not ask the company for the 20% discount, but I hope they would have given it to me if I had asked.

They did a good job. They did what they said they were going to do and didn't make a mess. They did an efficient job and stayed within budget.

Were thorough, careful and professional. The foreman was always available to answer questions, handle minor problems as they arose, etc. The house looks great! Regarding price, the company charged more than many others would have. But considering the quality of the work done, the price was very reasonable.

They were a little expensive, but they did a good job. They were prompt and right on time. We had a few extra things that we wanted them to do, and they did that without any additional charge. Our experience with them was pretty good.

We chose Bethesda Chevy Chase over other companies because we thought they better understood our requests. John Folk responded promptly to my call, met me to talk about the work to be done and gave an estimate within a couple of days. Work started within a week and lasted one week. Jose, the supervisor, was very responsive, helpful and ready to have imperfections corrected. We are very pleased with the work.
