A large tree fell on our fence, cars, and phone power lines. Jason came within an hour and gave an estimate of $650 for "storm damage tree, front yard on cars, removed from property. Cut into fireplace logs, pile of brush to be hauled by county". In the meantime I discovered that my car insurance would pay for the part of the tree that fell on my car, and home owners insurance would pay for the other part of the tree. I told Jason that I needed two estimates. He gave me a second estimate for $300 "storm damage, tree on cars, cut off of cars." He asked if I wanted any for firewood and said that it would cost more to bring it to the back of the yard where I wanted it. I said "ok" and pointed to a spot where he could leave it, but I didn't want to pay more. I left a check for $300 and I went to work. This morning when I moved my car I realized that he had taken all of the wood from the top of the cars and threw it onto the yard on top of the downed wires. I called him to complain and he initially said that the wood I was complaining about was from the storm, not from him. He came by within a half hour at which point I was wet and tired from moving the wood. He pleasantly asked how I was doing and I responded "how the **** do you think?" He was offended by the language but said as a courtesy he'd cut the wood around the power line, but wouldn't move the wood that he had thrown there because he had only agreed to cut the wood off of the cars. This didn't make sense, since the whole estimate for removing the trunk and limbs was $650 and clearly stated that it would be moved to the yard and I had paid half of that. He then asked if I'd have him come back to do the rest of the work and I said "no". He called me a short while later and told me that he did not want me writing any reviews for his services. He said "if I see a bad review, I'll know who wrote it." I felt he was threatening me and for this reason I do not think he should be on Angie's List.

He was recommended by our nanny. He did a good job. Yes, I will use him again in the future.
